Our testing process includes random sampling. Although the continuous monitoring radon machine is more expensive, it is the best way to determine if your home has a radon problem. We can also set up the machine before your home inspection so that you get the results with your inspection report. According to the American Cancer Society, long-term exposure to radon will increase your risk of developing lung cancer.
Still River Home Inspections provides homebuyers and owners with easy access to water testing services. We will collect a sample from your property and send it to a Massachusetts certified testing laboratory. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has indicated that most U.S. ground water is safe for human consumption.

I have had 5 house inspections over the years, and this was thr most thorough and systematic one ever. Dan went through the whole house, explaining and photographing as he went. His report was meticulous and thorough. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work. The report was ready on time as promised, within 24 hours.

Dan at Still River Home Inspections did a great job inspecting our home. As first time homebuyers, I felt very secure in knowing the major issues and minor issues that I will be getting myself into. I was not able to attend the inspection with my husband but the next day after completing the report, Dan took the time to walk me through the report over the phone like I was there in the first place. Dan is able to explain each issues without complicating it. I would definitely go to him again for any other future transactions.

The second we met Dan Jones, we were at ease. He has a very calm respectful demeanor. He was very patient with all his answers and clearly knowledgeable and did an absolutely through job of inspecting the house. He provided with an excellent report with photos which we will keep as a reference as we fix everything. I had a couple of inspectors to choose from and I read all the reviews and I am very pleased that I went with Dan as he seems very trustworthy.

Dan was able to work with our schedule and was the best home inspector we have ever worked with. He was knowledgeable and made everything easy to understand. No spot will go unchecked and the report given is incredibly helpful. Not only does it state what needs to be fixed, but also general knowledge like how old a system is and how often it should be serviced. We cannot recommend Dan highly enough!

Dan did an incredibly thorough inspection of our new home after we moved in. The market is insane right now and he did a great job of reassuring us that we had made the right choice in buying our home, while also pointing out exactly what we could do to make it safer for our family. Dan spent about 5 hours walking through our house--attic to crawlspace--pointing out and making suggestions about everything he could see, while contextualizing each suggestion in terms of what was urgent vs. what was a "nice to have."
