Fire alarm all night long....never stops....can't sleep..can't study...been complaining for months and nothing. Call the emergency line.....nothing......
Don't get me started about the roaches....
Also to all the other reviews, who gives a flying fuc about the old property manager, did absolutely nothing in regards to upkeep and pest control. Remember folks, if you don't do your job....there is always another able body out there to replace you.

Star Suites Apartments is one of the most convenient and affordable living areas in Tallahassee. First, the staff is very helpful and nice and will work with you in any type of situation. The individual rooms, while small at first, are not cramped and depending on your ability to organize, can be quite roomy. Convenience and accessibility to the city is where this place tic, it is located less than a mile from the main FSU campus and even TCC is accessible on the bus route which brings me to my next point; the buses the connect to SSA both typical city routes (E for Evergreen) and the free FSU

Star Suites has been the best apartment complex that I have found in my four years in Tallahassee, everything gets fixed in a timely manner and they are always willing to listen to any concerns that you have. The previous complaints all seem to be from people who have issues with their roommates, but honestly that is going to happen in any situation where you are living with people who you do not know and is not the apartment complex's fault. The grounds are always super clean and I have never had an issue finding parking!

This place was so horrible that I moved out early. Even though I was living somewhere else they wouldn't give me a way out of my lease other than paying the full amount off, so I was paying rent for this place when I wasn't living there anymore. After a couple months of paying the rent I decided to go back into my apartment and make sure I didn't leave anything behind. However, my key didn't work. They changed the locks, lied about it to my face, and were using the room that I was paying for as storage for maintinence stuff. I called the cops and everything but as usual the cops are useless. - The privacy entrance makes it feel more like a studio than a shared apartment.
- Relatively short bus ride to FSU.
- Across the street from Winn Dixie and a couple of good restaurants.
Cons
- NO sound-proofing between rooms. I'd guess there's about a centimeter of drywall between you and the suite next to yours. You can hear everything your suite-mate does.
- The most sloppily constructed apartment I've ever lived in. The bathroom door frame and wall corners were warped or misshapen. Absolute bottom dollar construction.
- Their furnished setup is a joke. The chair that came with the

Pretty good place. My room was clean, it has friendly staff (the manager is usually available), it's near Winn Dixie, there is a bus stop to FSU right in front of it, the maintenance is punctual (often coming on the same day as you call) and effective (you usually only have to call once), and the place is safe (as far as I could tell).
My only qualms were that I felt it was kind of small and lacking in amenities for the price.
