A Clinician's Journey from Complex Trauma to Thriving: Reflections on Abuse, C-PTSD and Reclamation is an anthology of articles by Rev. Sheri Heller, LCSW. Written for survivors and clinicians this collection was inspired by Rev. Heller's unrelenting struggle with recovering from complex ptsd rooted in systemic and generational child abuse, and her commitment to devoting her life to helping others similarly afflicted.
The play, LET THE PHOENIX RISE! authored by Sheri Heller & Laura Gosheff, is based on the true stories of four teenage girls and their triumph over adversity. LTPR! was written for women and girls who have been victimized, heart-broken, and scarred; who have lived with violence, adversity, rejection, pain, loneliness, and neglect.
Please note that all group work is currently on hold until in-person sessions can be resumed. Survivors of narcissistic abuse can be children of cluster-b parental abusers, spouses, significant others, friends, and colleagues beset by Corporate Stockholm Syndrome. Survivors evidence PTSD, dissociative traits and present with dangerously low self esteem, self condemnation.
A 50 minute consultation is a necessary pre-requisite to determining if we should pursue treatment together. If a higher level of care is indicated or we are simply not the right fit I will assist with making appropriate recommendations. Should we decide to move forward, all new clients are requested to engage in weekly therapy sessions for a minimum of three months.
