Rev. Sheri Heller, LCSW is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada and presents with a New York State license in clinical social work. Sheri is an addiction specialist, Ericksonian hypnotist, and interfaith minister, and is a seasoned psychodynamic therapist presenting with 30 years clinical and supervisory experience in the addiction and mental health fields.
A Clinician's Journey from Complex Trauma to Thriving: Reflections on Abuse, C-PTSD and Reclamation is an anthology of articles by Rev. Sheri Heller, LCSW. Written for survivors and clinicians this collection was inspired by Rev. Heller's unrelenting struggle with recovering from complex ptsd rooted in systemic and generational child abuse, and her commitment to devoting her life to helping others similarly afflicted.
The play, LET THE PHOENIX RISE! authored by Sheri Heller & Laura Gosheff, is based on the true stories of four teenage girls and their triumph over adversity. LTPR! was written for women and girls who have been victimized, heart-broken, and scarred; who have lived with violence, adversity, rejection, pain, loneliness, and neglect.
Please note that all group work is currently on hold until in-person sessions can be resumed. Survivors of narcissistic abuse can be children of cluster-b parental abusers, spouses, significant others, friends, and colleagues beset by Corporate Stockholm Syndrome. Survivors evidence PTSD, dissociative traits and present with dangerously low self esteem, self condemnation.
A 50 minute consultation is a necessary pre-requisite to determining if we should pursue treatment together. If a higher level of care is indicated or we are simply not the right fit I will assist with making appropriate recommendations. Should we decide to move forward, all new clients are requested to engage in weekly therapy sessions for a minimum of three months.

I cannot recommend this person in the slightest. She laughed at me several times while I shared personal information. She told me "to get a thicker skin". Yes, literally, she gave me a command to do the thing I had come to her for. This sort of thing happened other times. For example she asked me why I identified with black men, as a non black man, simply because I said I felt I had something in common with two of them. My partner is a black man , this question was just so weird and again it's like she kept giving me questions that I obviously came to her for answers for. When I asked her if I
