The adult Karate and kickboxing classes have been a great addition to my weekly routine. I am learning self-defense as well as meeting great people and gaining confidence while getting into great physical condition. Sensei Murphy is a knowledgeable instructor and explains things well while demonstrating techniques.

Can't say enough positive things about this place! My kids LOVE coming here and I love everything they are learning! Self control, self defense, getting great workouts, discipline, the list goes on. Amazing place and amazing teachers!

A wonderful place for kids to learn discipline and respect- our son has been enjoying classes for years and we plan to continue all the way to black belt! Renshi Chris Murphy is an excellent instructor and it is clear that he cares about the success of his students!

My triplets have been here a couple of months and the change in thier at home behavior and at school is great. the focus and attention they get here is amazing. I am very happy with thier progress and the staff is wonderful 5 out of 5 stars

Our son is a smart and very active 4 year old. We sought a new hobby that would allow him an outlet for his energy and give him the mental stimulation he craves.
Glens Falls Karate & Sensei Murphy have been the perfect destination for our little boy.

Sensei Murphy really takes an interest in your goals and interests. The whole dojo really welcomes you as a family and are willing to assist you and help you grow. The instruction also focuses on the practical uses of what you are learning, which is great for self defense and situational awareness.

**Update April 2018***
Since my last review several years ago, things have changed.
I spent many years sitting on the sidelines, watching my daughter participate, seeing her grow, making new friends, all while gaining a valuable skill and confidence. As time went on and I spent more and more time in the lobby area of the dojo I started to get a bit envious. However, I used every excuse in the book to not take the leap. Then one day, while watching Raiden's class, I showed interest in the moves Sensei Murphy was teaching the teens. Sensei saw this, came over and told me I could hop on the floor

The adult class is really amazing for self defense! Having the ability to learn multiple ways to handle situations and practice them has made me more confident in my everyday life.

The dojo my daughter loved for 4 years closed. I was concerned about how she would adjust to a new place, but it took no time for her to feel at home at GFKA. She is there 3 nights every week, and enjoys her classes, classmates, and Sensei very much. (I love that they have coffee). ;)

My son has been attending the Glens Falls Karate Academy for almost a year. He loves his lesson and adores Miss Stacey and Sensei. He has matured tremendously. His focus and concentration have soared as well. We are proud members!

My daughter started a few months ago and was welcomed by all. The education sensei Chris Murphy provides is well beyond just karate for his students. My daughter has become more focused, confident in everything she does and has a better attitude than before she started. We all are very greatful for the environment that is provided where the kids have fun learning and have encouragement from sensei as well as their peers. Thanks Sensei!!
