Founded in 1993, Gerardo's Italian Bakery is the dream and passion of Gerardo Sarli. In the bakery business for 30 years, Gerardo learned the craft as an apprentice to old time master bakers. Eventually he mastered everything from breads, to pastries, to elaborate wedding cakes. At that point his mom said, "now you know it all, why not make it your own and open your own bakery."
We know you want the best for your wedding. We want to impress your with some of the most unique and interesting wedding cakes that you can find here in New England. With quality ingredients and dedicated cake decorators we know we can impress you and your new family. Just like the ingredients for our cakes we like to think that there's a few key ingredients to your wedding day, one being our breathtaking wedding cakes.
We have some photos here from clients, taken our selves and others that have been sent to us that we can make. We love incorporating any of your ideas. Please use included reference number when ordering and please note that these are from our website when doing final cake count and ordering procedure.
Looking for something to supplement your desserts and treats at your wedding or maybe you want something special for a birthday party or corporate event. Our cannoli station may be what you're looking for. Many venues have dessert options but we like to think that all you need is some of our cake and cannoli's to make your day even more special.
Come in with your fiancee, family or friend and see what we have to offer. We will prepare individual slices of cake with our delicious fillings for you to sample in office and also enough to take home and experience later. Cannoli Cake Filling - The great ricotta filing used in our cannoli you can pair White, Chocolate or Pitsachio flavors with any of our delicious cake flavors.

Not a fan of this bakery. All of their pastries are hard as rock, even the ones that supposedly just came out of the oven. I ordered from here on two separate occasions. First time I purchased a cookie platter for a party I had and by the end of the night the platter was basically untouched. None of my guests liked them. Some would take one bite and then throw it out. I had other assortments of cookies at the party and those were ate up. These cookies were just not good. And it would have been nice if there was a description on the bottom of the platter about what the flavor of each cookie is.

We purchased our wedding cake from Gerardo's. We had numerous wedding samplers, as we kept forgetting what flavors we wanted to order. We ordered the strawberry ricotta and chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and the cake looked gorgeous. We got married the Saturday after Thanksgiving and the cake was not as fresh as the samplers we previously had. I'm not sure if it was due to the holiday, but it seemed like that cake was baked several days prior to the wedding. We also ordered a separate carrot cake to be served. The carrot cake was delicious!

Delicious đ By far the best bakery I have ever been to. I ordered my daughters birthday cake from here and she loved it and everyone at the party did as well. They decorated it just perfectly to what I asked for. I also picked up some other baked goods while I was there because I couldn't help myself and they were absolutely delicious too. This is the only bakery I will use now.

We decided to try Girardoâs on a whim after shopping at the Verizon store(saw plaza) in Shrewsbury. The shop itself has a very cute and classic look. It was also very clean and they had a very large selection baked treats. We ended up getting a Boston cream & funfetti cupcake. They were both pretty tasty and the frosting was delish!
