1999, marked the seventieth anniversary of the McAvey family business. The founders, William Francis and Gertrude Agnes McAvey, were Worcester-born, and each generation after claims Worcester as their birthplace. It could not be more appropriate than to have the business located in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The service here is never good. If you want service or are in a hurry, or even want consistent food—look elsewhere. Sometimes it’s been fabulous— food wise—- other times — less than stellar and one time —rancid. The service is not good— I would call it disinterested—- or they have the staff doing double duty outback but “attentive” is never a word used here.

Went here today waited 10 minutes for a cup if coffee, 4 people left during that time. Place was not busy. The gentleman next to me was served his food but he waited almost 5 minutes before he finally got his silverware. Ordered an english muffin with peanut butter, got the muffin, peanut butter came later.
Overall this was and is my last visit here, way overated, food below average, service was non existant. Don't waste you time here.

I have visited this restaurant several times. I usually go during breakfast. Breakfast choices are numerous and the portions are of medium size. Bread/toast choices are excellent as this is a bakery as well. Today I had lunch. The shepherds pie was not as good as my own and was only luke warm. Because of their bakery and breads, I will probably return to try a different lunch in the future.

When the pats go to the super bowl my daughter and I always have a cake made with a special pats photo at Mrs. Macks. They have always had it done on time, made right(aesthetically, to request) and haven't had a taste or quality issue ever. Can't speak to the restaurant side, but it's always packed when we go, so that tells me enough. Highly recommend

We had been seeing super delicious things advertised on the board as we drove by for a long time now but it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to figure out any semblance of a regular schedule. So today, it was open and we decided to check it out. I wish I could say I was impressed bc our waitress was very nice, but unfortunately I can not . Nothing special whatsoever. I ordered 2 scrambled egg whites w cheese and they were strangely extremely bitter tasting. Then I found a hair in them. They were nice enough to remove them from our check

I got my parents 50th Anniversary cake there! I brought it into Boston. What a huge hit!. The cake was delicious, and looked spectacular! If you want an Award Winning looking cake then Mrs. Mack's is where you have to go. You also need to be very specific with your order and it comes out looking and tasting fantastic!
