Fort Knox was a nice place. The only thing we found was a lack of kitchen utensils and pans. Had we known there was a lack of utensils and pans, we would have brought them, but the information online said the kitchen was “fully equipped for preparing and serving meals”.

I rented “1 Step Away” for Christmas for 10 days. The house location is excellent. You cannot get closer to the beach. However, it’s clear the house is not being maintained. Upon first arrival, we were unable to access the property using the exterior door. We were given the directions to use a 4-digit coded and our “6 digit code” in every combination it did not work and eventually we resorted to accessing the property through the elevator-later during our stay this resulted in us being locked out until an after hours support person reset the code. The entry way hallway was filthy-dead

This was an excellent vacation rental. We were fortunate enough to book this for NYE 2021 and what a great way to ring in 2022.
Location to the beach, cleanliness of home, available parking for more than 4 cars is easily doable using the garages; game room kept us occupied for quite a while and not to mention the hot tub and pool were a welcome touch.
However we did find some things lacking regarding hospitality - not enough towels, cleaning supplies and unable to control thermostat leading us to some UNCOMFORTABLE nights.

I rented this home during the off season and apparently that is why it was in poor condition. That is what I was told when I called to complain. I have a long list of problems with this property ranging from cleanliness to poor condition of kitchen appliances and pots/pans. There are ants in the kitchen and roaches here and there downstairs and upstairs. Buried in the guest portal in a tab of a tab it a list of what to bring. I did not inspect the portal well enough. The toilet paper roll was literally empty or low in the bathrooms and only one roll is provided. The kitchen trash can did not have

Have dealt with Carolina Beach Realty through a VRBO rental, as I plan to move to that area and was looking at real estate in the area I must say, they were very pleasant to deal with. I had a minor issue entering the rental but the response was immediately corrected. I plan on going back and will look to use Carolina Beach Realty. I had a very nice trip.

We had an excellent vacation experience using this company. This house was well maintained and clean. The view of the area from the top floor was the perfect way to wake up and have my morning coffee.

So, where in the world do I begin? I need to start by saying that we are an experienced rental family, and experienced in the Carolina and Kure Beach markets. My friends and I rented a house, and have been, essentially, lied to the whole time. There's mold EVERYWHERE!!!!! The apartment, on the lower level, that was supposed to accommodate an older couple who can't navigate stairs very well, was really bad with mold. They now have to walk up and down steep steps. The dishes and kitchenwares, that were supposed to be provided, were covered in rust and food. There's no safe furniture provided to sit outside. The customer service was absolutely deplorable. At the end of the day, when you pay $3,000 to rent a house, there should be clean dishes & no mold

Stayed at salty sunrise great rental great accommodations spacious love the outside balconies. Housekeeping could be a lot better after the cleaners are done cleaning somebody else should be going through to check and make sure there are no issues 1. being the elevator not working when we got at the rental which made things difficult when you're on the third floor
2. cockroaches and ants 3.that there is a broom and a dust pan there for cleaning I had to request a broom 4.garbage cans should be completely cleaned out so that they're not filthy in the bottom of them and also there wasn't any trash

Rented beachfront home with a group in July. We couldn't check in until after 4pm because the cleaners were still there, we could only offload our luggage.. Once we arrived and entered our room, we noticed the bed sheets had not been changed, they had dog hair and other stains on them. Called them and they dropped off new bedding, literally dropped it off for us to change ourselves, without taking the nasty ones back with them. The floors throughout the house were filthy.
