Resilience is the ability to withstand, adapt and grow in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy and stress such as depression, family and relationship problems, bullying, death of a loved one. It is the ability to transcend despite all the odds. Resilience is not something that some people have and others simply don't.
I am a Pediatric and Adult Psychiatrist providing services for individuals struggling with a variety of mental health issues. I am a bilingual post-doctoral student and licensed clinical psychologist working in Rome and in San Diego. I love helping people foster a life of healing and wholeness within themselves and their relationships.
The Resilient Helix provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Individual therapy sessions have a unique feel to the relationship. All mental health professionals have their own style and it is important for you to find a style and individual with whom you can connect and collaborate with in your work together.
My name is Dr. Maria Carolina Court and I am a Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist who provides psychiatric evaluations for folks across the lifespan - from Tots to Tall people. In a Psychiatric evaluation, I am attempting to comprehensively understand an individual's emotional and behavioral difficulties from both a biological as well as a psychosocial standpoint.
Our groups and classes provide children and families with comprehensive support services, such as mental health, developmental, behavioral, and collaborative referral source for needs in speech and language assessment and resources.
