Services
In the beginning, Rio Guadalupe Resort's 25 acres were overgrown with cedar and mesquite trees. There were no utilities or roads, but the site had a lot of potential. After months of hand-clearing and road work, a small storage building was erected to serve as an office. RV hookups were installed along the tree-line overlooking the Guadalupe and Rio Guadalupe Resort opened for business.
The best views of the Guadalupe River are from the Hill Country cabins at Rio Guadalupe Resort. Ranging in size from one to three-bedrooms, our cabins offer all of the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. In order to manage housekeeping fees and provide the best rates possible for our guests, we now have a 2 night minimum stay for all cabin rentals.
Rio Guadalupe Resort features an RV Park with 58 full hookup RV sites, 25 cabin rentals, and mile of Guadalupe River frontage on 25 sprawling acres in New Braunfels, Texas. At Rio Resort, it's our goal to ensure your stay is both comfortable and convenient. Come see why Rio Guadalupe Resort has the friendliest staff in the Hill Country!

This resort charged us $10 a person to fish on a concrete boat ramp. In addition to the high price my husband paid, a worker came right up to where we were fishing and started mowing the grass right next to us! Paying customers don’t even get access to a bathroom with doors on the stalls! Coded bathrooms with doors on stalls and lights are for some other lucky person. Ladies working there were very rude and unfriendly! I will never go back.

I wish that I could give a good review. We stayed in a cabin away from the river. The door to the bedroom would not shut. There were roaches. The bedroom smelled like urine. The beds were comfortable and the air conditions worked great. For the price of $529.00 for 3 nights I expected a lot more. When I went to the office on Saturday at 4:49, it was closed. I will not stay here again.

Just arrived at Rio Guadalupe Resort and campground. This is not a resort only a campground. Your neighbor actually faces you because of how the hook ups are placed. You actually share a small dried up piece of mostly dirt with people you have never met. The picture shows our picnic table and their picnic table and chairs. Dog park has so many burrs my dog just stands still in it.
I want to be happy with it I really do but I just can’t be.

First of all...I have no clue why people saying the ladies in the office are rude, they were both so nice and the folks that run the tube rental place were very kind and helpful too!
We got in late but they make it super easy to get to your site and check in the next day. Nice shade, spacious sites, very level and easy to access. It was pretty booked but we didn't feel crowded at all. Amazing location right on the river with easy entry into the water, beautiful sights and lots of spots open to pop a canopy and relax! Definitely will be going back again!!

Overall it's a good cabin and a good location. For the price it leaves a bit to be desired. There was a cockroach climbing on the living room wall on our first night. The cabin was rough on our allergies, definitely some mold issues going on. The pillows were comfortable, 1 bed was comfortable enough, the other, the box spring has seen better days and we kept falling off the bed. The ac in the kitchen worked, the ac in the bedroom barely worked. We had plates and silverware, but there were no cooking utensils. The fridge and the microwave worked. The location is great and the staff are nice. They

Staff is friendly and accommodating here. This is a great spot for floating the Guadalupe. Fishing in this area is tough unless you are fly fishing or using top water lures due to all of the large rocks in the river. Luckily the water is shallow enough that one can retrieve lost lures fairly easily. The public restrooms and showers were very clean, which I was super happy about. The folks that were camping around us were great! Everyone was in good spirits, friendly, and on occasion very helpful! I will likely be back next year! I had a great time!
