The Ludlow Apartments

As my two years at the Ludlow Apartments are coming to an end, I look back and I know I'm going to miss it here. The convenience of being in the heart of Center City Philly is unmatched, and having a gorgeous apartment and view is like no other. The only negative thing I have to say is the steep increase in rent is the reason why I can't stay here, which I feel is unfitting for a city such as Philly and unexpected for an already expensive and luxury apartment. Nonetheless, I'll miss it here and I have wonderful memories to look back on.

I've really enjoyed my time at the Ludlow, and have lived here for 3 years. Convenient to the train, grocery stores, and shopping. Right in the middle of everything! I consistently worked with the leasing agent Donte Hampton. He is the absolute best!! If you are looking to live here, I recommend requesting to work with him!

My niece is an international college student in Philly. During the pandemic she stayed in Ecuador and had to make arrangements to come back this semester. I was very lucky to find Jemirah Thompson when we decided to lease an apartment at The Ludlow. She was amazing from the beginning! We did a zoom visit, and she was patient and very well informed, she answered every question, helped me with documentation, payment, forms, questionnaires. She was by my side during moving time, and helped me make all the necessary arrangements. She even prepared a very special welcome to the building with a gift

It's been months that the squat bar has been stolen/disappeared from the gym. Nobody got back to me after reporting this issue to the office and sending a follow-up email a few weeks later. I emailed every staff member separately to see what has been done to resolve this problem or whether a replacement squat bar is ordered, and again there is no response.
-One of the benches at the gym is broken as well, and it's not safe to use it, but no one is doing anything about it.
-Hallways are not vacuumed daily, and unless I report it to the front desk, it won't get cleaned.
-The printer barely works

Jemirah Thompson, Catie, and Yolanda in Leasing/resident services were super helpful in assisting me with an urgent matter and I am super grateful for their help and all of the assistance provided by the Ludlow staff at all times. Highly recommend living here as the staff is always willing to offer help and the amenities are always well taken care of. I’ve never had an issue that management hasn’t worked with me to resolve and they even were very accommodating on rent negotiations in the wake of the pandemic.

I've been a resident of the Ludlow since June of 2020 and have had a very positive experience with my time here. The building is very clean, the concierge, maintenance staff, and leasing office are all very kind and friendly. The apartment's quality and amenities are wonderful too! Honestly, no major qualms with the apartment itself.
There are two things that I'd like to call out:
1. The area (and the surrounding area) isn't entirely safe - I don't tend to go out and venture out at night. So if you're a female, just be aware that it might not be so safe to walk around the area after the sun sets

The Ludlow is a really wonderful place to live. Any community building will have its hiccups or issues, and The Ludlow is no different. However, the ancillary staff here such as concierge desk attendants, maintenance staff, building manager, and day to day in office leading consultants exceed expectations. They are very kind, considerate and relatable. This building has really facilitated proper precautions during that COVID pandemic, and as a nurse, I really appreciate the effort. My husband and I lived at The Ludlow for 2 years and just moved out because we had to move across the country for work. Prior to The Ludlow, we lived in several other "luxury" buildings in Philly but none ever came even close to our experience at The Ludlow. Yes, the building and apartments are beautiful and well kept. Maintenance keeps the building looking 100% at all times. But the most important part of our experience was the management and each individual who works at the building. The Ludlow management is honestly the best I've seen in a large building- they go above and beyond your expectations

I have been working with Dante and he has been an absolutely great! Moving can always be stressful especially when it comes to picking the right apartment that is "the one". Dante has exceeded expectations when it comes to attentiveness and understanding my needs for my future home. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to live downtown in Center City this is it!

The apartments per se are not bad, the appliances are nice and the apartments are quite new. However, they are tiny and over priced, especially during covid times, when all the rents have decreased. The deck is nice, but management doesn't care about maintenance and thus, umbrellas are broken, chairs are dirty, fire is left on over night, etc.
