Dr. Beste established MVH in 1982 and he is the medical director and lead veterinarian at Middletown Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Beste earned his Veterinary degree (VMD) from the University of Pennsylvania. He has many pets: 1 Dalmatian- Milhouse, 2 Dachshunds- Roxie and Mr. Burns, Marge his mixed breed, 1 German Shepherd- Fox Mulder, 2 domestic short hair cats- Clarence and Kiara, and a barn full of barn cats!

Established by Dr. Beste in 1982, we are active in our community and are grateful to be named the winner in both the First State Favorite contest and Delaware Reader's Choice contest for Best Veterinarian! Last night as I was arriving to Middletown Veterinary Hospital, I received a call that my daughter had been in a vehicle accident. When I went inside and explained my dilemma, they immediately offered suggestions on what I could do in reference to whether to reschedule or not. They were kind, compassionate and concerned. Ultimately, after I was assured my son-in-law was able to get to the accident scene more quickly, I went ahead with the quick appointment for my 13-year old cat to diagnose her issue which turned out to be a behavioral issue. I love this vet so much. I live about 30m away with several vets that are nearby and choose to use Middletown Vet because of their efficiency, overnight care options, and friendliness. My animals are my children and they understand this. All vet prices are high, but I find this vet is very reasonable.

I absolutely love this place! They keep my little guy in top form. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and very courteous. I honestly don't know how they do it. I've gone on days where some dogs are going nuts because of other dogs in the area. But the staff seems to be unfazed by it all. The vaccine clinic appointments move fairly quickly. I also get my little guy's nails clipped and I've never had any complaints. Overall, always a pleasant experience!

I was going out of town and called Middletown Vet in a pinch. I remember using them years ago when i was breeding dogs. They have always been great!! Now they have a lot of upgrades. The broading process was very easy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They took great care of my dog. I will consider using them again.

I love Middletown Vet. Dr Jones is compassionate and yet honestly informative. I am happy that my pets have been cared for Dr Jones and more than willing to wait. The many clients and their pets have been friendly and pleasant. The staff is also pleasant and I do have my favorites. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
