We enjoy living at Garden Park. The apartment overall is spacious and my favorite part is the balcony which overlooks the garden. The garden space is really nice to have for hanging out and is visually very nice. I have had some stuff stolen while living here so be aware of that possibility. If you can afford it I think the in unit washers and dryers and worth the extra money just because its a long way to the laundry building and also because its really hard to get enough quarters for it these days. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

I've lived at Garden Park for over 20 years and in all that time, it has been a superb complex. A great apartment space, instant response by the maintenance crew, some great community "socials" up until COVID-19 made it impossible. In winter storms, they've ensured our cars can get into the main side street with clearing snow and ice. Best decision I've ever made on housing. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

Beautiful environment, great apartments, and top notch management. The assistant manager, Julia Sleeper, is highly committed to providing knowledge and satisfaction. It is clear that she is genuinely caring, and dedicated to giving the best service while creating efficiency for everyone involved. I am appreciating you Julia, you rock!!!

Various very agressive pitbulls living here. Lease has breed restrictions which aren’t enforced. Staff knows but doesnt do anything about it/doesnt care. Why have breed restrictions in the first place if you dont enforce them?
Especially if you have small children or pets be aware unless you are ok with always looking over your shoulder.
Follow up on the GP answer: This “political correct” statement on federal regulation is the best example why people should stay away. ESAs or service dogs can not under any circumstances be violent or agressive. On the contrary they have to be trained and

We’ve lived here for 4 months now and it’s been good but I’m still deciding if it’s worth the steep price. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the staff have been nothing but helpful. The garden and grounds are very nice although the pool isn’t open because of COVID which makes sense. The laundry facillities are nice although using quarters in a pandemic and coin shortage is inconvenient and the price is somewhat high ($3.50 to wash and dry). The rooms are nice, the kitchen a bit small and the living room has no overhead lighting but the covered balcony is lovely for eating

I love the attentiveness and friendliness of the Garden Park team. It’s always a pleasant interaction running into each of them. Five stars to each of them. Another five stars to the beautifully kept grounds. We love the park-like views from our windows. My wife and I have started naming the squirrels. We also love the amenities — including the pool. We’re surrounded by nature, yet minutes from restaurants, bars, coffee shops, breweries, and markets — another five stars for location. That’s a lot of stars!

Update: new management sucks.
Noticeable change in management and we lost the personable and caring vibe we got from Rhys. Now it feels overbearing. Still a beautiful property with medium units.

The apartment is spacious and beautiful with plenty of storage. The neighborhood is great. The best part of living here though is the maintenance team, Ed Warren (the maintenance supervisor) in particular. Truthfully I have probably been quite the pain in the rear with my requests, but Ed has been so prompt in handling all of my requests with a smile on his face and genuine concern for how my day is going and what he can do to make it better. Truly the best maintenance team I've ever encountered.

My lease is up soon and if I weren't buying a house out in the suburbs, I would definitely renew. This is a beautiful park-like setting, just like the name indicates. Wimbledon across the street is a total dump...which you can read about in the Willamette Week. Garden Park has great management. Rhys is so attentive, kind and has the most amazing and friendly customer service. I think all of the units are remodeled with updated features. The gym and laundry rooms could use some TLC because they are in the musty basement, but most of the units have washer/dryer in them...ours did not.

We lived here for 2 years. The only reason we left were to relocate to a different state. I have never stayed in any apartment longer than 1 year if that says anything.

The PROS: close-in SE, I was able to bike to work and I'm 2 blocks away from the bus and less than a mile away from the max orange line. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance just 3 blocks away on Gladstone. The apartments are quiet and everyone seems to honor the quiet hours. The units themselves are huge with a sensible and practical floor plan.
We had about 1000 square feet and 2b, 1 bath. Never any issue

We moved into Garden Park about a month ago and so far it's been amazing! Rhys, the manager of the complex, is as nice and accommodating as can be-- he really worked with us to make our long-distance move as smooth as possible. Ed, the Maintenance supervisor, has been equally helpful and our maintenance requests have been attended to within a few hours of being made. The pool and complex grounds are beautiful and clean, with abundant flowers and greenery. They even have picnics and wine and cheese nights throughout the year here! Oh and it's about 3 minutes from a Trader Joe's and close to several

My girlfriend and I have lived her a couple of months and are very happy to live here. Our apartment is nice, the grounds are pleasant and are maintained regularly. The staff have been nice to deal with and respond to any requests we've had in a timely manner. Only downside is a longer walk than I'd like to groceries and other stores but it's more than do able.

Good location and nice grounds. The pool is nice to have if small and usually occupied. Friendly management. The appliances included are awful - the dryer takes 2 cycles to dry, the stove is incredibly uneven, the refrigerator is tiny and freezes the top shelf while the bottom is lukewarm. Still, issues get resolved quickly. The carpeting and thin walls are no worse than anywhere else in this price range. Rent is fair for this area. Overall would recommend to Reed students or others who want to live in the area.

It is unfortunate that many times people feel a need to use Yelp only to vent a frustration. I have lived here since 2013 and I have found this to be as perfect a place to live as is possible. It is quiet, it is scenic, the staff (now), especially Kyle, offer quick and super friendly service in responding to questions and following up on maintenance issues. I have really found a lovely haven here.

I cannot recommend this complex more.

Great location. That's about the only thing positive here. The management absolutely sucks. They go through people like crazy. And they are usually very rude and you can tell they hate their jobs. Make sure you print off all the documents to your lease. I was only given 8 pages to sign, never once did I see an actual lease. I thought the 8 pages were the complete lease, it was actually 49 pages that I never got. They also charge a lot for WSG, which is ridiculous. We had no washer and dryer and only 2 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment and our WSG was always over $100 a month. The walls
