I have lived in a Baker managed property for almost 5 years and I love them! They are quick to respond to any request, have a professional cleaning team maintain the common area's and are committed to their tenant's enjoying a safe place to live. Beside's all of those qualities, I really appreciate the architecture of these vintage apartments. Spacious, with walk in closets and built in shelves and drawers. I feel lucky to have this place. Great price for the square footage too!

I loved my 6.5 years living in Uptown, and a big part of that was the apartment we lived in. Baker Mgmt is all you could want from a property management company. They take good care of their buildings AND their tenants. They are clear and concise, consistent, reasonable, respectful, and every staff member I ever met was a kind person. The building itself (just a few blocks East of the Wedge) was spectacular. Thick walls, convenient placement of car garage, mail, laundry, etc. The vines on it in the fall were just magical, too ;) I even recorded my newest album in the dining room of my apartment

Baker Street and Troy are nothing more than slumlords. I lived at Baker Street management apartments on 3rd Avenue South and it was a nightmare I had moldy walls I had for broken windows I had no water in my kitchen sink for 4 years my neighbor upstairs had no water in his kitchen for 11 years and every time we asked about it they would simply say we have to hire a plumber. At one time I had a bucket underneath my bathroom sink for over six months because they refused to come out and fix my sink the city inspector came out and told them they had 10 days to fix everything. They advertise that their apartments are month to month lease. So I asked about this to confirm and their manager confirmed on the phone that it is in fact month to month lease with NO clause. I then thought I should be up front and asked him if 3-4 month would be fine and he then thought about it for minute and changed his mind and said no we don’t lease for less than 7 months. Based on their website, previous reviews and social media, it seems like he spontaneously on the spot decided to change the terms subjectively. Obviously I suspect it’s personal and his decision was based on other factors

I rented from Baker for almost two years and they were awesome to work with - by far the best property management company I have ever dealt with in the Twin Cities area. Super friendly and responsive management. They were always so respectful of my pets as well. I particularly enjoyed interacting with Troy and his son and they always stopped to chat with me and catch up - really the nicest people I've ever dealt with through an apartment rental. I lived at Twin Court Apartments for 2 years and couldn’t have been happier. Always quick to answer questions, offer help, and respond to maintenance requests. I wasn’t sure how to put my AC unit in and they came by, set it up, and went to cut a 2x4 the exact size I needed so it would sit straight. It’s an old building, so the toilet had issues, but they would often get there same day to fix it. They made a roommate switch feel like a breeze, responded promptly every time I had a question and near move out they always made sure we knew when showings would be happening. Great communication

This is a really great company. I lived in one of their buildings for almost 5 years. The building i lived in wasn’t modernized, but the management team was what made the experience great for me. The apartment was very cute and super close to everything including downtown Minneapolis. So sad to leave Minneapolis altogether, but very grateful I was under the care of Baker Management during my time there. I totally recommend this company because of the people who run it!

A network of miscommunication and scams that will leave you stranded without a place to live. The property owners that use this management company require payment through unsecured applications like Zelle or Venmo. Baker also never answers their phones and sometimes shuts them off completely to where the calls go straight to voicemail. You will get scammed working with this company because they do not properly vet the properties that they manage.

The staff is friendly and always take care of issues within a week. They made sure to always let me know when they were going to be doing maintenance. Whenever I reach out with questions or requests, they respond within a business day. The rent is great for the size of the apartment and the location. You can tell they care about their tenants. I've lived with them for over a year and plan to stay with them for quite some time.

I had rented for years in Minneapolis and stayed in a BMG property for a few of those. I paid my rent on time and had a few minor maintenance issues over those two years and everyone we worked with was more than accommodating. I always recommend them to any friends looking for places around uptown and mpls.

We lived at Twin Court Apartments for 5 great years! The building was well maintained, maintenance requests were dealt with quickly and thoroughly, and the management staff was wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend renting from Baker Management Group because of the pride they put into their work.

I currently rent from Baker and love them! I was telling some friends about them and figured why not share with the inter-webs as that's where I always go to get the scoop on a potential landlord. My apartment is super cute, and while slightly more than I wanted to pay, its worth it as it has tons of space, free storage, a nice laundry room w/ clothes line and bike storage, and the best landlords you could ever ask for.
