I gave a five-star review previously but I recently had a troubling experience:
I took the car in on Thursday for an oil change and smog check. The "check engine" light was NOT on when I took the car in and I had not perceived any performance problems.
They called me later to say the check engine light was on and they had performed a code scan that showed problems with the intake manifold. The work couldn't be completed Thursday or Friday. I was charged $140 to tell me my alternator was good and my A/C was fine. Neither we're fine. After I left Cypress Auto repair I took my alternator into the parts store to bench test it. It failed 3 times. I took the car to the Air Shop in Santa Ana who tested the A/C system and found my charge was a 1/2 pound low. Now that it is charged properly it blows nice and cold. Don't waste your time and money with these guys. It's just a money grab.

This is my second time with using Cypress Auto Repair and they are terrific. I have a vintage car and most shops don't even want to talk to me about repairs, not Cypress Auto Repair. The first time I brought it in was right after I purchased it and it needed to be smogged. They did a thorough inspection and found a few issues that would have cost me an additional $2,000 to fix after I purchased the vehicle
Needless to say, I took it back that day and am awaiting my full refund in the mail.
Brian and team have a TON of great Yelp reviews and from what I can see, they are all true.
This is going to be my new “go to” auto repair shop!

Back in May, I had to get an Oil Change and a smog check done to register my car and see if it passes smog. I ended up passing and these guys charge a good price for oil changes and smog. These guys are close to where i live and its much more convient to see them. Usually a smog check will run you around 50 to 30 dollars. Oil change here cost me about 20 including the fresh lubant they had ro put in. Staff here made my day, I forget the gentlemen name that serviced my car, But he did a great job. I will be back.

They're reasonably priced & never push services after they note what could also be coming up needing attention. I've never had a delay in my appointments and when they say they will be done, they accomplish it.
The extra touches such as the complimentary soda + water in the waiting area go noticed! Also, I love that they had girl scout cookies a few months back when it was Thin Mint season. Supporting the local troop! Good guys all around.

Brian, Josh and the guys are top notch when it comes to vehicle repair. I live pretty close to them and brought my first vehicle to them for repairs gosh over 20 years ago I think Brian is probably worked on every single one of my cars since then and I've watched Josh grow up and take on more and more each time I see him. if you want cheap poor quality service with little to no regard for you or your pocketbook in general definitely don't go here but if you want things done right with some responsibility and some ownership on the work that they do with a family friendly environment that is clean

Although I am hesitant to give a great review because it will lead to longer lines, they deserve it. So far this shop seems very fair and honest. I can't speak to the quality of repair work. So far all I've needed was routine maintenance.

We just bought a 2009 Subaru Forester and i notice that coolant was spraying all over the engine bay. Thinking it was either a leaky hose or a the system was clogged and pushing coolant out the cap. i took it to Brian at 7 am on a tues morning for a flush. Few hours later he called to let me know the radiator connection on the top was cracked and the the whole radiator needed replacing. I needed the car the next day for work so Brian and his team got it done before they closed. Workmanship is top notch, they cleaned off all the coolant spray, and the car is running great.

I had called a few places to get pricing but it was Brian's knowledge and honesty that brought me in. He was incredibly helpful in targeting the location of my cars noise. If he told me I needed all my wheel bearing to be replaced I would have believed him but he said just one so far and another sooner or later.

1. The bathrooms are clean
2. The sweet boxer dog is the cutest little thing, I just love her
3. Brian is about as trustworthy as they come, and gives you all of the explanation about what you need done and why.
I have taken both of my cars here and I cannot say enough good things about this place! Brian is a likeable guy and as I female, I don't feel like I'm being overcharged or sold things I don't need. One time I was having trouble with one of our cars, and left it--well they kept it all week, starting it multiple times

Called ahead to check on how busy they were. Lucky to have gotten in for the morning to Smog Check my Lincoln. They share the parking with a few other businesses in the shopping center, and there's enough spaces even if it's busy. Remember to bring your Registration with you inside the Office.
Was greeted immediately and after giving my documents and keys they had my car smogged and ready to leave in about 15 minutes. That's pretty fast.
They do a lot of services so will definitely be returning for an oil change soon.
