La Petite Playhouse
The look on my son's face in these pictures says it all! His birthday was as happy as it could have been! He got to spend it with his closest friends at his favorite indoor play space. Our memories of his special day are so happy! It was also as simple for me as it could have been. When you have a birthday party at La Petite Playhouse, the party planners handle a lot of the little details for you.

We set up a call and went over everything from food orders, invites, and the party schedule in about 30 minutes. I absolutely loved having someone else to plan with me. They are experts at this and do it all the time! Usually, I'm on my own with all the details since I've always personally hosted birthday parties for my children.
Services
Our baby and toddler area is intentionally placed away from our main play structure providing a safer, quieter environment for our smaller guests. This area is designed with the little ones in mind, it has everything our large structure has to offer but on a smaller scale. This area is limited to ages 5 and under.
We offer 4 play sessions a day, and we close for 30 minutes between each session to sanitize the play structures. La Petite Playhouse is the ultimate indoor destination for children to play, explore and most importantly. Parents are encouraged to join in on the fun or relax in one of our well-appointed seating areas enjoying complimentary magazines and Wi-Fi.
Sometimes simple is better. For today's busy parents we offer one hassle-free party package that allows you to customize your party to fit your budget and child's desires. We offer complete tailor made private events so you can create the perfect party, exactly how you want it. We recommend booking your party or event at least two months in advance.
There are several ways to schedule a party. You are welcome to come into the playhouse and book with an associate. You may also call us at 650-642-9444. One of the great benefits of a private birthday party is that you have the entire play house for 75 minutes of private play time and the 45 minutes in the private party room.
We are offering the following play schedules. Each session is 2 hours long and max capacity is limited to 30 kids only. We will shut down the playhouse for 30 minutes to sanitize the play structure and equipment. Admission is valid for as long as you want to play! No "in & outs" please. Children under 12 months or who are not yet walking are free when accompanied by a paid sibling.

First, the positives:
I saw a lot of big kids having a lot of fun.
But for my eighteen months olds, they have more fun at the Redwood City Public library, which is free and considerably less of a hassle.

It's a very well designed playhouse. The place is very clean and safe. The staff are also very nice and friendly. There was only one thing that I dislike, there is a coloring game which should be played on a touchscreen. Although it's a really nice game, I didn't expect to see it in a playhouse. Some parents including myself had a hard time pulling children from that activity and sending them to do some physical activities.

I used to take my son to La Petite Playhouse before covid. He has always had lots of fun there. It is now $15 per child for 2 hours. They are open on weekdays and the last time slot is 5-7 pm. There are bug colorful slides, a soccer area and a basketball area with soft balls. There is also a big gym to climb through that has 3 levels are a few different slides. There is an area for children under 5 years old as well. This is a great place to take the kids to burn some energy.

I had my sons birthday party at La Petite. When our party arrived the staff seemed overwhelmed and tired. They had the previous party coming out and It was chaos. Most of the guest were not wearing masks. They were back and forth with shoes on from the party room through the front. The staff seemed afraid to enforce the rules and when they tried the guests really didn't care. The place is under staffed for the amount of people that were there at one time. I did not feel safe for me or my guests. They were not following local CDC guidelines. We are in a pandemic and I feel unsettled for choosing

This place is good for kids upto 8 years , my boy 4.5 yr really enjoyed it , we were there for 2 hrs which is sufficient, parents must accompany all time as few slides are tricky and covered so it is better to keep ur eyes open while ur kid is having fun, they don’t have any jumping or rolling stuff , they have slides & hurdles and very small court of basket ball and soccer, the entire space is Indoor

Wearing masks is not enforced. I came because the website said masks are required. Apparently that's just lip service

We visited La Petite Playhouse for the first time and had a blast. We were able to make a reservation an hour before our planned visit and the process was easy to do online.

Upon arrival, our little one was delighted to see the vast play area. He is still a toddler, so this was a perfect place for us to let him explore and get all of his energy out. I felt comfortable with the level of cleanliness and sanitation that was taking place during our visit. The session we attended for open play was not full, so it was nice to be able to have our distance and to be able to explore at our own pace.

I took my friend with her girls for a fun time as we couldn’t go to the beach. It was a cold afternoon and the girls had a blast. We paid $ 15 for each girl to play around 3 hours or so and this is great. Staff are serious about sanitizing and cleaning the place after each round of play time . I totally recommend.

My daughter had her 5th birthday party there yesterday 7/10 and it was amazing. They had special parking for us and as soon as we arrived a young lady helped unload the stuff from my vehicle and load it on a cart. Soon as everything was loaded up they took it back to the party room. I asked if I needed to help with setting up and they said no they got it covered which was shocking to me because I've never had a venue set up and decorate before. It was a big relief though because it gave me more time to watch my daughter play with her friends. Once play time was over we were taken to the party

I spent WAYYY more than I should have this entire covid year.. (the usual front desk girl who is ALWAYS there when we come is amazing so I'll start with that pro) but unfortunately until the girl with the pink hair fixes her attitude problem towards paying customers, I'm out. I don't know if she thought I was younger so she could roll her eyes and huff about things but when you're the front desk girl you represent the company and they should be highly embarrassed by her.

OMG! What has happened to this place? Is it under new management - going out of business? It used to be absolutely spotless clean and always smelled like it had been freshly disinfected. Now it's an absolute mess, dust everywhere and floors that look never cleaned. During the last event we attended, we had to serve our own kids pizza and cake which is not what we were told to expect. I've been here for probably eight parties and this never used to happen...the staff was attentive and helpful. Multiple times we tried to get the Manager but she was in a back room on her cellphone or sitting

The place used to be a really fun safe place to take our kids, but our last experience this week makes us never want to come back. Honestly, it's really the parents not regulating their kids. There were kids standing on top of the baby section house/castle, but the worker didn't say anything . There was an older kid trying to bully other little kids (again mostly on the parent), but still no regulation from employees. Not sure how this can be resolved, maybe this place just for too popular, but never going back. We left after 30 mins. Bottom line, watch your kids.

Friendly personnel, they are cleaning everything all the time. $11 per kid. They have special prices for late play. I wish they had a limit on height for kids cause there's been several occasions that big kids are running over the little ones and by little is all the 3, 4 and 5 years old. Really nice place if you go at the right time.

I got invited to a party today. Well ... kids 9-11 had a great time I thought they outgrew the place.
One thing I wanna mention is, even if I appreciate the staff cleaning the structure as I witnessed, the party area is dirty. The floor is sticky with cake's remain and splits from juice. I asked if I can put my shoes back on and the staff said no as the staffs have their own Vans on. I tossed my socks in the trash when I walked back out to to lobby as I don't want the socks to be in the laundry, so as my kids'

We were in the Bay Area for a family trip and discovered this spot via Yelp. As point of reference, we have two boys 6 and 3.

Location:
In a strip mall tucked away. Throw the address into maps.

The Deets:
There are 3 major areas inside this indoor play area. The "3 and under", the main play structure, and a smaller area for basketball and soccer.

3 and under:
So some of the reviews bring this up-this is a rough place if you have a toddler. My 3 year old was able to survive with the help of my much larger 6 year year old in the regular play structure.

The small 3 and under area in

This place is always clean and friendly. This is our first time back in about 6 months. They redid their 5&under play area and added some new imaginative play toys. Cool 🏰 and a massage chair. I was letting my newly 6 yr old daughter play in the 5 & under area. We were firmly but nicely told no exceptions. My 6 yr old was upset and I was too because all I wanted was a break. She wanted to play with her brother who is 4. The owner came to help console her and show her where she could play. I really was thankful for her help. Will keep coming back!

Have been here for both drop in play and a birthday party.

The good: Awesome place with big play structures and slides that even adults can go on, which I took full advantage of. There is a toy area with playhouse and toys train table, ball areas. Very clean from all my visits, I would definitely like to hold a birthday party there in the future. They even have a nice toddler area for kids 3 and under to play in. The staff is nice and the food and snacks are not overly priced.

If you hold a birthday party you and your party get whole play structures to yourselves for an hour.

The bad: This

It's a great place for indoor activities. For 10 and under ages. Different areas to play. Slide down or climb, build or cook in cute kitchen. Play mini soccer or colouring interactive pad. Good for birthday party. They have two rooms for celebrating events and small area for snack time.

I really wanted to like it here but once I noticed they didn't really care about how old the kids were in the toddler section I was bummed. My son is under 2 and couldn't really let him play much because I didn't want him to get hurt!
However, I did like that the place was clean. They make everyone wash their hands which is cool!

Do not, I repeat, do not come here when school is cancelled! The place itself was fine, I would say that there could be more lighting in some of the play areas, and employees could be strategically placed to help monitor turns, behavior, etc.--since many parents do not. At one point I told the young lady at the front desk there was something wet like water in a play area and she said "let's hope that's all it is..." She had a few towles but no disinfectant with her as she went to check the scene.

I am honestly appalled at how some parents, caregivers, etc do not supervise their

In the words of my 8 year old son...."this place is lit"!

Probably one of the better (if not bigger) indoor playgrounds in the Bay Area. The facilities are clean (I would often see employees cleaning the play area regularly) and there is a nice lounging area for the parents. Most importantly, the play structure is great. Little ones can easily be entertained for hours here.

I have a "spirited" child. Read: a super super hyper near-1 year old who has been resisting bedtime on any day that she didn't get a chance to burn calories all day long. She was asleep in less than 10 minutes tonight so you get the picture of how much of a great time she had here.

My husband and I were hedging on leaving the house today but I could tell baby was getting antsy with being home. Went here because it's the closest big play space that will accommodate waddlers in RWC (aside from the public library and it was a holiday).

Pros:
Pretty clean given what the clientele

Great place to play on a rainy day or any day really. It has a baby and toddlers section and a bigger section for everyone. Dodge ball section and huge bumpy slides. No shoes. Must have socks (they sell them if you forget) I've seen Kurds barely 1 all the way up to early teens.
There's free WiFi and tables to snack and chat at. There are vending machines and water refill stations.
Weekends are parties only. So no public hours.

My crazed toddler really likes this place. Oh, who am I kidding, I really like this place!

I would certainly think twice before booking a party here based on the reviews, but this is our favorite indoor open play area at a reasonable price--no membership fees. Play on a drop-in basis. It sure beats those impractical, overpriced mini play gyms!

I applaud how they emphasize cleanliness and good personal hygiene habits. The staff is always vacuuming all around the place and everyone is required to wash their hands prior to playing. The play structure and surrounding areas are substantially clean

A good place to come during the weekdays. Weekend is only open for reserved birthday parties. We come here close to closing time. They normally allow you to play longer than one hour towards then end of day. This place is clean. Tips: Dont come or come super early during the holiday free play time. The wait during the holiday time would be very long.

Ok, let's be clear here. I am writing this review for myself, not on behalf of my kids. I don't know if they had a good time or not at the birthday party today; I left the little one with his mom in the 3-and-under section and spent part of an hour chasing my daughter around.

I had a damn good time. I have been to a lot of birthday parties over the last three years, and this is the most enjoyable birthday activity I've participated in (far surpassing bird shows and bubbologists).

First of all, the name sells this place way short. I expected a dainty little play room, but they&apos
