Our name hails from the mountain town of La Honda, up over Skyline from Woodside, where we grew our first estate Pinot Noir among the stunning redwood groves and Pacific-facing meadows. La Honda's untainted beauty and community are all increasingly precious vestiges of old California within the Bay Area.
La Honda Winery's wholly-owned subsidiary, Post & Trellis Vineyards, manages over fifty private spectacular estate vineyards throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains. Each vineyard is sustainably farmed with a vigilant respect for nature. Every farming practice we employ is deliberate and intended to enrich the vineyard soil and the immediate environment.
A hyper-talented and skilled winemaker, Charlie has compiled a highly impressive resume. He got his start at Starmont in Napa followed by harvests in Argentina, South Africa, and New Zealand, all before working his way up to Assistant Winemaker at AP VIN, the cult Pinot winery.
Prior to being cherry-picked by La Honda, Charlie spent 5 years in Sonoma as Assistant Winemaker to Michael Cruse (2016 SF Chronicle Winemaker of the Year) handcrafting some of California's most sought-after wines. The stunning results also led them to overseeing 'custom crush' production for a dozen other wineries.

I was out for dinner with my Boyfriends at the Mexican place in front of La Honda Winery and we decided to check out this place. Their was hardly any noise outside but as we walked downstairs, we could see the DJ playing all my favorite songs! We girls stayed back and ordered a bottle of wine and some beer. They have big and and beautiful place to enjoy your drink and have a good time with friends. They also have a dance floor close to where DJ plays all those fabulous songs. We girls ended with dancing all night thanks to the DJ!

I was looking for an affordable but gorgeous space for a big party and after a lot of searching( something to fit in my budget), I found La Honda Winery. This space was much better than some of the other venues I checked out, and was lower in cost to rent. All the guests loved the space and my party was a hit. The location was the only down side as the street can be a bit industrial, but once you walk into the space, no one will mind. In addition, the venue managers Allison and Jordan were both great to work with and accommodating. Highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a grand space

The venue is beautiful, the staff is nice and the wine is great, but the food was horrible!!!!!!! Really shocked and many of us talked about it after the party.
The artichoke dip with baguette, the baguette is stale, the cheese plate, the cookies are all soft and the items on it are all bad flavor. The burger looks so cooked and old, and the Mac and cheese is supposed to be the easiest dish, even my young kid said it was so bad. I can tell they put some cheap dishes/ingredients at a very nice venue.

Such a cute venue! Came here for a friend's holiday party during the work week and the interior was very spacious / cute, wine service was nice, and overall I was surprised this existed in such a residential area. Parking was a little complicated but overall would definitely consider hosting / attending an event here, particularly if folks can Uber. Not sure about their regular service and/or if they do general wine testing for the public.

Amazing experience and beautiful venue!! I hosted a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and Traditional Tea Ceremony here for my brother's wedding. The staff is super helpful and flexible; the location is amazing. They were able to work with my budget and our guests were raving about how beautiful the venue was. I will definitely be hosting more events here!

La Honda Winery was fabulous! We used it for an executive dinner recently. Firstly the staff, Sue the owner and Allison one of her key team members went all out to accommodate our requirements, and then some. They were cost conscious for us saving us $100's in rental fees. The wine options are so cost effective for a group dinner, with a selection of top class wines at phenomenally reasonable rates, the perfect option for a group dinner. Sue and Allison worked with us every step of the way, proactive with ideas. Recommendations for caterers, entertainers. You could tell they were truly vested

Our team just hosted our offsite at LaHonda and we had a wonderful time! We had around 20 people present for an all day lecture style training filled with presentations and speakers. Sue was fantastic to coordinate with - everything from how to rent projectors to what amenities were available to us. We had a partition that separated us from the rest of the venue so we had some privacy, but we had the whole space to ourselves. Cathy was our host and she did an impeccable job with helping us set up and get breakfast/lunch moving. In the evening, we did a competition style cooking event & paired

Our Celebration of Love party to honor the marriage of my daughter and her husband was held at the winery in April. We worked closely with Jessica to create a beautiful event and it was a basically stress free blast! The winery looked amazing with the long tables and there was plenty of room for a photo booth and a basketball game upstairs as well as a live band and dance floor on the main floor. The wine and beer selections were tasty and the service provided by Jessica and staff was outstanding! I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue for any gathering!

La Honda is a really nice venue for small to medium size parties.
I just attended a team building cook off competition with about 50 colleagues there and had a great time. The size of the facility was big enough to accommodate us while maintaining a feeling of intimacy.
The staff was very attentive as was the culinary team that was hired for the cooking competition.
The ambience is great offering a old style Tuscan feel inside and out.
On site parking is not available... so neighborhood parking can be a bit challenging.

My friend and I came for a sushi making event that was quite pricey, so we were expecting good service. Let's just say I had a negative experience for my first visit.
However, after the general manager David saw the review, he expressed his concern and explained how he investigated the situation further for the poor customer service. He agreed that there was an issue with customer service and offered to make up for the experience with a complimentary wine tasting experience.
I took the offer to compensate for my first experience and have to say I was very pleased with their service. David
