Prana Yoga Center is a beautiful studio in the heart of downtown Denville, New Jersey. Services
Are you a beginner who would like to try a personalized class to try the basics before joining a group class?. Do you have an injury or a condition that you are working with and want to learn how to modify your postures in class?. Are there postures that you would like to spend more time with and would like individualized attention?.
Beginner: Beginner yoga is suitable for both the first time student and any student interested in becoming further rooted in the basics of yoga. Each class is a breath centered blend of poses aimed toward opening channels in the body through proper alignment. The actions in each pose are ones that can be translated into any yoga class, enhancing and building the student's understanding of more challenging poses.
These 90 minute classes begin with a brief on-land paddle and safety instruction. We'll take a short paddle to warm up to get accustomed to the movement and balance of the board. After that, we'll clip each board to an anchoring system and begin the class. Our SUP Classes are Open Level with options for beginners and more challenging options for those with a bit more experience.
We hold prenatal specific classes and workshops at different times throughout the year, but here are the classes on our regular class schedule that our many expectant moms have benefitted from:. This therapeutic class is tailored for those who would like to slow down, de-stress, and heal whether it be from an illness or injury, or simply from the stresses of daily life.

Wonderful and a well managed studio by two sisters. Christy is an experienced instructor who truly demonstrates yoga is not just an exercise to go through the motions but also an experience of mind and body. She guides students very well into more advanced poses - great for students at different levels. The studio also opens door for charity opportunities and plays a role of bringing the local communities together, especially during the Covid-19 period. Just a wonderful studio in many ways!

Walking into a yoga class can be a little intimidating - so normally I look for a free online /at home option; also tried the YMCA, or a few other studios - in all of these your just getting the basics. Prana sets itself apart from every other yoga experience I have tried. Taking a class is a treat for me - so I’ve only gone 3 or 4 times over the past year. Each time I left feeling I have given my body exactly what it needed while feeding my mind & soul at the same time. In Christy’s class she immediately puts you at ease making you feel welcome, quietly walking around during some poses and

Wonderful and relaxing - everything yoga should be. There are classes for every level. The rooms are dimly lit and calming. They provide blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets.
There is plenty of parking nearby. You can pay by the class, or buy a book for 5-15 classes at a reduced price or you can subscribe for unlimited lessons for a monthly fee.

Very peaceful and serene, low key. This is a great place to learn yoga or maintain your practice. Advanced yogis or those looking for a workout may want to incorporate Prana into their routine as well, but not as their main studio. However, everyone should try it a few times as they have a lot to offer, and the teachers vary their sequences so you can learn something new. Shawn and Becky teach the more fun classes.
