I had been attending yoga classes for almost 10 years before I came across my first Iyengar class. Right away I appreciated the thorough and precise instructions offered by the teacher. As I continued to go to class I noticed how the intentional sequences helped prepare my body for the poses. My posture began to improve more and more, and I even grew taller from all the work we had been doing on lengthening and strengthening the spine.
Having suffered for many years with headaches and pain as the result of living with scoliosis, I began to notice my symptoms diminish, and it became clear to me that Iyengar yoga was the way for me to go. That was the physical improvement. On a deeper level I became more curious on the vast subject of yoga as a path for inner awareness.

Yelpers, why are you sleeping on the talented Cristina Roy Yoga?
Since ClassPass went virtual, I've been enjoying visiting other cities and states I like to experience classes. When I came across Cristina's page, I was blown away to see a class called "Back Care Yoga." When you live with chronic pain, you're usually skeptical of anything branded "back care." But after a deep dive on Cristina's website, I was deeply interested in how knowledgeable she was from a mechanical standpoint. I knew immediately she knew what she was doing.

I am a healthy, 66 year old woman who has incorporated years of exercising, skiing, golfing, gardening, you name it, into my active lifestyle. I have also had 2 complete knee replacements over the last 2 years. The knee trauma(s) that I have experienced are a direct result of injuries that I have sustained over the years as well as osteoarthritis. I am also a seasoned professional and understand the criticality of following protocol when seeking to assure a complete recovery post- surgical rehabilitation. Both surgeries required a structured physical therapy regime. Once physical therapy sessions
