Fridrich's is practically an institution in Cleveland. We started out as a coal and feed store back in 1883, and moved across the street to our current location, here in Ohio City, in the 1890's. Since then, we have expanded to become one of the oldest and largest bike shops in the U.S.A.! Our goal is to provide superior customer service, whether you are looking for a new bike, need a simple repair, or just want to buy an inner tube.
We pride ourselves on having the largest selection of bicycles and parts in northeast Ohio, and our 10,000+ square feet of retail space (and triple that in storage and work areas) makes that possible. We are much more than just a store that sells bikes! We carry tricycles, and other kids' items. We offer bike rentals and delivery on new bike purchases.

Let me first say, these folks are awesome. Helpful, kind and customer-focused. I had to get a new bike... in this pandemic. Eek. My old bike literally broke while I was riding it at I the furthest point away from home base. Good times. Had to hop a bus which was not a desired event. Nice driver, though. Anyway, headed to
Fridrich's a few days later and was helped by Antoine, the bike man with super powers. He showed me a few bikes but I really didn't want to spend much. He offered used options and had a Schwin hybrid he could tune up for me and have ready the next day. Awesome. He delivered

Simply put...you will find no better place to buy a bicycle.
You can visit the multitudes of bike shops out there but there is no need to spend a bundle of money on a quality bicycle or their service.
Example. I needed two tubes replaced on my bicycle.
Local expensive bicycle shop was going to charge me $23 per tube, installed. Fredrich charged me $21 for both, installed.
While waiting for my bike to be repaired, which was done immediately, I browsed their new bicycles.
Actually it was my wife's bike getting repaired, I'll probably end up buying myself a new bike from there!
The service

This bike shop is the tops! I went here to buy a tool to install my new Campagnalo crankset on my Schwinn and they initially sold me the wrong one. Upon investigation we discovered this and had no issue exchanging the more expensive part for the cheaper one. They were very knowledgeable and didn't speak to me differently because I didn't know the exact name of the part that I needed. I will be going here for all of my bike needs in the future!

It's certainly not the fanciest bike shop in town, but that's its charm. Fridrich is affordable and staffed by friendly and helpful people. It's a perfect shop for a casual rider, and more serious riders can often find surprising bargains there for things like high-end tires and other miscellaneous parts. Great shop.

Fridrich's is AMAZING. I took my ancient Raleigh Tourist bike in Saturday. I needed new tubes for the 28 inch tires (was told by another bike shop in Ohio city that there is no such thing (!)). They replaced the tubes, fixed a piece on the gears and while I waited for ONLY 30 minutes on a very busy Saturday afternoon I had great chili at Palookaville next door. Antwan knew all about the Raleigh factory which used to employ 7000 in Nottingham until it sadly shut down in the late 1970's. He even showed me where to find the date for my bike. 1975
I also bought a seat for my Breezer which

This place only has 2 reviews? there were so many people in and out of here when i was there today! although, not to stereotype, but most of them didn't look like to computer savvy yelper type..
i recently got a new bike off craigslist and needed to make some adjustments.
firstly my tires needed air and seat needed to be lower, and one of the guys there kindly pumped my tires and adjusted my seat. my bike is a road bike with drop handles and i had been thinking about flipping it over and cutting the bars to make them bullhorns. i was going to get all the parts and do this myself, but who

So wait........your not going to try to sell me a bunch of crap I don't need? And your going to give me the best price on parts accessories and labor in the city? Aaaaand your going to do this all while being friendly and knowledgeable? Where am I?! Oh Fridrich's Bike shop where else!
So here it is. I live downtown and absolutely love to ride my bike in the summer. Whether it be to Progressive Field to catch a ball game, W25th for some fresh groceries from the West Side Market. Or down to the Jacobs Pavilion for a live show on the Cuyahoga River, if its summer I'm headed

Am I the only one who realizes and utilizes the awesomeness of Fridrich's? Well, I'm the only one who shares her love on Yelp.
Not only have they been around forever, but they've been doing it up right since the beginning. Everything I've ever purchased from here was a great deal with a side of knowledgeable, honest staff. Most recently, a three bike car rack for less than $100--lifetime warranty, too! Mind you, almost every other shop was trying to sell them for $140 and up for just two bikes.
They also helped find me a helmet that doesn't have girlie crap all over
