I was really excited to try this place based on the instagram photos, but I had an awful experience and wish I had never booked here. I paid $225 for a gel x manicure that looks like it could be press on nails that I bought at target.
When I got home I had to completely reshape my nails myself. I asked for almond and the top of my nail came out thicker than my natural nail, looking like a very strange round shape.
I will be calling tomorrow to request a refund, this was a waste of my day off of work and honestly very upsetting and embarrassing that my nails look so bad.

Let me just start off by saying how much I HATE COVID! Haha! Booked an appointment with Cece @ esNAIL in Beverly Hills! I hadn't been to this salon in well over a year. Since I don't live in the area, this isn't my regular go-to salon. But nevertheless, they're always amazing! The setup was unfortunately outdoors and they service one person at a time. Such an unfortunate circumstance. But, it was as good as it can be. They are definitely following city/state guidelines, which I can appreciate. Anyway, Cece removed my gel-x and did a new set. ES Nail is my #1 spot to get my nails done in LA. I love the girls that are there, they definitely make sitting in a chair for 2 hours a pleasant and fun experience!! I LOVED their Melrose location, so sad that the new location is a little small, although it is super cute and remodeled. I do love the pedicure chairs and tubs though!
My call-outs for the new location would be to add a TV to one of the walls, the space is SO tiny that you really don't have much to look at besides other people, so having something to watch while you get your nails done would be ideal. Also, the front desk NEEDS

Love my nails! For me, these nails can last up to three weeks, but you need to be careful with them. I saw a few negative reviews, so I wanted to include that these nails are fashion statements. I would say nail extensions are quite durable, but you also need to be realistic about what you're paying money for. My nails cost $140 with a pedicure that cost $40. Total: $180. You're paying for unique, fashionable, & beautiful nails. In my opinion, you're not paying for nails that will last weeks or months while you treat them as you would your natural, short nails. always booked up for a reason. I will not have gel extensions put on by anyone else. That said, you can give a girl a perfect haircut and perfect color, but if she does not take care of her hair it will not last and the hair will be damaged. It is the same thing with these nails. You have to do your part to treat your nails with care. Mine lasted six weeks once when I was out of town and couldn't get to the salon. Not so much as one jewel

I've finally found my go-to nail place in LA!
The first I came here, I was trying to get an acrylic fill but Meina pointed out that there was water damage (not surprised, the last salon I tried did a horrible job) and suggested hard gel instead of acrylic. I trusted her judgement and I'm so glad I did. There have been a few times at work where I thought I must've broken a nail or two, but the hard gel keeps my nails intact! I love them!

I discovered Esnail through Instagram, it's my fourth visit so far. I live in K town and there are dozens of decent nail salons within 10 footsteps outside of my apartment and for me to make a trip out to Melrose to come here specifically to get my nails done says a lot. And I hate driving in this city.

I get gel manicures with designs often. Never, and I mean NEVER, have I left the salon feeling as good about my nails as I did today.
The manicure/art was done by Mizuki. I showed her a picture from Instagram. She mixed a custom base color to perfection and rocked the design.
Yes the manicure was expensive. But everything about the manicure was perfection. I've paid more at other places for awful designs. I would gladly pay again for her work.
Only bummer... No massage at the end.. What a let down. But, beggars can't be choosers.

I had a pleasant experience at esNail! I had a certificate to get the monthly nail art special ($90) and I was happy with the design and longevity. I do a lot of home cooking and cleaning, and the gel paint and jewels held up just fine. I have thick nails and don't really like having long nails--when I was tired of it after 2.5 weeks, I was able to peel off the gel without stripping too much from the nail.
Here is what to expect from the salon:
-It doesn't smell like a nail salon
-It takes about 75-90 minutes to do everything
-Manicurist was meticulous and kept verifying nail shape

I decided to give them a 4 star rating because of how nice they were to redo my nails twice with no hassle or problems whatsoever. My nails are super cute but it's disappointing that I had to go back 2 additional times from the initial visit. If I decide to go back to get my nails done, Shizu will be my go-to girl. She was great!

This was my first gel experience. And I haven't had my nails done at a salon since high school.
It was a pleasant experience. The manicurist was detailed, pleasant and focused. She never stopped her hands despite us chatting thru my entire visit. I am satisfied with the result even tho I wanted it to be more glittery(but that's my fault. Lack of communication and the picture I showed did not have glitter)

-The result is amazingly beautiful

-Because they r detail oriented and proper, they worked fast but it still took forever. I got extensions

Dangerous! Because esNail does such great work so efficiently. My coworker and I were in and out in less than an hour.
esNail is pricey but so worth it. Almost 4 weeks later, my nails looked like I just got them done! Even the matte part was intact!
Make sure when you call, you specify which salon! It's the same # for both and I accidentally went to the Beverly Hills location when the appt was for the one on Melrose.
