I was referred to Dr. Snell by a good friend that is an existing client. I made contact and scheduled my initial appointment for two months later. Once I arrived at the center I felt I was transported to the spa. The sounds of Motown flittered throughout. The staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. Dr. Snell herself is phenomenal. She was able to assess and address my concerns with my skin and provide me with literature on it and the treatment prescribed.

If you are a person of color this is the place for you (or anyone)!! What a pleasant experience. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. Upbeat and greeted me with such warmth. Called me by name, addressed my issues with compassion and explained the findings where I could understand. Provided samples of a moisturizer and sun screen suited for my complexion. Don't wait until you get a certain age to become concerned about your skin issues. Start early. I made a follow up appointment for a more complete exam. Thank you Carter Snell Dermatology!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Carter Snell and it was great!! Front staff was polite and friendly. I was seen by a NP within 15 minutes of arrival. The NP was also super friendly and attentive. Dr. Carter Snell came in with 5 minutes of the NP leaving, which was great. Typically, when I go to any doctors office the wait is always long. Dr. Carter Snell was friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns, gave me a treatment plan and explained what she was prescribing and why. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend her to others.

This place was so awesome. They follow cdc guidelines all the way. The young beautiful doctor was very perfessional. She was very knowledgeable. The people there are very helpful and nice ! The Wait time was great. The place was clean and modern I love that. Customer service was impeccable! I would know this, im the customer service QUEEN! LOL! I have a new dermatologist, and I love her! Super cool place!

Dr. Carter- Snell is AMAZING!! I've been to two dermatologist about the same problem and was misdiagnosed. Dr. Carter- Snell examined the trouble area throughly and found a solution right away. I would recommend her practice to everyone!! She was kind, prompt, professional and knowledgeable. She knows SKIN!! She answered all of my questions.
Her staff was courteous and extremely helpful. I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival.

I've been to multiple dermatologist but Dr. Snell is the best in Metro Detroit. She is so attentive and has very clear plans for your care. She's very knowledgeable about products and overall body health and how that impacts skin health. Amazing staff as well, everyone is very kind, timely and attentive. My skin and scalp both cleared up very quickly following the directions from Dr. Snell.

I had a very pleasant experience as a first time patient today. Dr. Carter and her team were very welcoming and pleasant. It was apparent that Dr. Carter was knowledgeable in my areas of concern. I appreciated her taking the time to thoroughly address each concern. Her team also took the lead in ordering the recommended prescriptions so all I have to do is pick them up from the pharmacy. Overall I am pleased to say I had a polar opposite experience in comparison to the dermatologist I went to a few years ago which I felt was a complete waste of time. Don't bother. This is the worst customer experience I've ever had trying to book an appointment. Complete idiocy and rudeness over the phone and in email. Going on over 1 month now.
I recommend you fire your entire front end staff. Terrible.
Post review edit - The owner contacted me. Give them a shot. For me... it was too rotten to get over. I've found another doctor.

I did the research and I really was excited to have found a Dr. that checked all my boxes! However, after an appointment request on the website and no answer, plus many calls to the office and no answer, I've given up and have found a Doctor that doesn't have a fancy website but a kind receptionist who answers the phone, was accommodating, and made me feel welcome.
There are great Docs our there, but unfortunately, they are only as good as their staff.

Carter Snell Skin Center is amazing! The facility is so beautiful and most importantly, CLEAN! Every person I came in contact with was extremely helpful, kind, and professional and it was a huge bonus that there was close to no wait time. Dr. Carter Snell herself is absolutely lovely. She's personable and it's clear that she really cares about her patients. I am so happy I found this skin center! I will be returning :)

Yelp success story! I've been having issues on and off with my skin, particularly on my back. I have extremely sensitive skin. The staff here are the nicest and most professional I've ever been in contact with. I honestly felt like they cared about what I had to say and Dr Carter Snell is efficient and fast as well. All I can say is OMG !!! Today I visited the best dermatologist center I have ever encountered. I have been to dermatologist all over from Birmingham to Novi to Gross Pointe and many others. Simply trying to find a Dr. who cares and can solve my issues. Not only did I find that in Dr. Carter-Snell I also found it in her staff.. They were all a breath of fresh air.. I can't say enough about them. The establishment is beautiful and has an outstanding vibe. I loved everything about it.. I didn't feel like I had an appointment , it was more like an experience! Dr. Carter Snell is amazing and so is her staff. Her private practice is very clean and has a great atmosphere. She treats your problems from the inside out, and gives super honest, professional feed back! She is one of the only black dermatologist I know in the metro Detroit area. You should definitely give her a try. Also the laser hair removal process is simple and painless!

Staff and Doctor were very attentive to details, open to discussing various conditions and strategies to overcome them. Their processes were efficient, no wasted wait times. Facilities were super clean and beautiful. People were friendly, caring and focused on the clients.
