Services
StarView Vineyards is located in the Shawnee Hills American Viticulture Area. The Shawnee Hills AVA is a specific area of southern Illinois, designated by the Federal Government, as a grape growing region. The grapes grown in this wine region have unique and distinct wine making properties. Wines that have "Shawnee Hills" on the label must have 85% or more of their volume derived from grapes grown within the A.V.A.

We're proud to have our wines in these retail locations. If you shop at a location other than where we currently distribute, contact us and we'll attempt to get our wines there for you. It also helps if you ask the manager of the store to stock our wines! If you live outside of Illinois and want to purchase our wines, please visit the wine page to place your order directly on our website.
Our restored barn is a beautiful space for your event. With seating up to 100, it makes the perfect spot for bridal & baby showers, birthday & graduation parties, corporate meetings and intimate wedding receptions. The space is heated & cooled with private bathrooms & your own personal bartender to ensure your event goes as planned.

My favorite of the Shawnee Wine Trail. I brought my dog and wanted a low-key meal, tasting, and excellent view and this place fulfilled that and more. First, you get 5 tastings for $5 which is such a great deal. It's dog friendly on their patio, which has great shade (making it nice to sit outside even on a hot day like our visit.) There's an awesome view of a pond and the winery from the patio area. The waitress was so thoughtful and brought my dog a bowl for water while I worked on my tasting. The wines here aren't nearly as sweet as some of the others in the area and I ended up

Went on a weekend trip to the area and stopped in this winery on the 17th in the afternoon. The woman at the wine tasting counter was helping another couple at the time, we waited for about 20 minutes until they left and then the woman working finally acknowledged us.
She told us we needed a $40 deposit for the glasses for flights and before we could say anything, she immediately began to put away other glasses and bottles and went back to ignoring us. Very nice place to go enjoy a glass (or three) of wine. My wife and son enjoyed the wine slushy as well as a glass of sweet white.
We had a few snacks that were ok, really weren't there to judge the food.
The pond is a nice place for the children to feed the fish; fish/turtle food dispenser provided (bring a couple quarters).
Prices were not horrible, some wines as low as $5 a glass or $15 for the bottle.

Horrible experience yesterday. They hosted diamondback on Saturday and it was a complete mess. The staff was VERY rude, and the owner is just plain incompetent. We paid 10 dollars each to get into the event and it was no where near worth it. I, as well at the other 10 members of my group will never be returning and do not plan to ever give this winery business again.

Great view and large outdoor shaded seating area. Check out all the awards for their wines. Visited this location during COVID-19 and the staff and establishment was following local municipal and state guidelines to ensure the safety of consumers. Appropriate documentation upon entering requesting for patrons to follow safety guidelines and employees wore face masks. This location was still offering flights and only had outdoor seating open. Call ahead for operating times and capacity update for seating/wait time expectations.

This wasn't on our agenda but I'm so glad we stopped! This was such a beautiful stop and probably my favorite of the wineries we went to. I loved the way they served the tastings. They had food options as well. My favorites were the Moonlight White and the Silver Star. There was a mishap where I was overcharged but it was resolved the same day - which is a huge plus to me. I kind of wish we had stayed here longer instead of going onto the next winery. This is definitely on my list to visit again.

StarView Vineyards was one of the first wineries I visited when I turned 21 and it's also the reason I love wine so much. They make wonderful wines from bone dry to sweet...they've got a wine for all wine type lovers! They also have a nice light food menu too for snacking on or making a meal of! The atmosphere is very laid back and the staff is always warm and welcoming. They even have a cute koi pond out back and you can pay .25 cents for food to feed them. Oh yea! Did I mention they have WINE SLUSHIES!!!

We got slushed at StarView!
I'm a huge huge fan of wine slushies and because of this, StarView was recommended as one of our stops on the trail. This winery was hopping when we got there but were greeted immediately upon walking into their main room. We both got the slushies and settled in on their gorgeous deck over looking a gorgeous lake. The only thing missing was live music but we were too early for it.
Tastings are $5 and they do have a food menu that we noticed looked pretty good from what people were ordering.
