The teachers are either elderly with mental disorders or brilliant with zero teaching ability. The best teacher I have had here was the one that just let me read through her class. Which I could do while staying on par with the other students due to the fact that all of the teachers were incompetent and had you watch videos to learn the subjects they were supposed to be teaching. The only thing Shanahan has going for it is the fact that they offer decent courses in the fine arts.

My time at this school was nothing short of hellish. From teachers not knowing how to teach in the 21st century, to the constant outpouring of hateful rhetoric from other teachers, going into class everyday was something we all dreaded. There is almost no diversity, and absolutely no room for a student to be an individual. If you are looking to enjoy your high school experience, shanahan is not for you. The only reason that shanahan doesn't deserve 0 stars is the fine arts and sports programs, which overall aren't bad.

As a 2007 graduate, I am a proud alum and supporter of BSHS. I received an excellent education and was active in sports (tennis, track and cheerleading), extracurricular activities and community service while in attendance. All of these important things provided me with the tools and educational experience I needed to prepare me for college and ultimately, my professional career. I also met my husband while attending Shanahan, which was just an added bonus! I am forever grateful to the teachers, coaches and staff who made my time at Bishop Shanahan so extraordinary.

I am a 2008 graduate of BSHS. I cannot say enough positive things about my high school career there. I have benefited from the rigorous academic program; opportunities to participate and lead in many different clubs and activities; and the strength of a faith-based community that empowers its students.

As a 1990 alum, and a parent of a current senior, Shanahan is an excellent school with opportunities for all students to grow in their faith, and their academic and athletic abilities.

Nice campus. Co-ed. If Downingtown wasn't such a good school district I'd send my kids here. Research shows private schools catholic schools don't have incidents of mass shootings. Maybe it's because the students are taught to be nice to each other?

I am an alumni parent who is also an educator. Our experience at BSHS was excellent! The school uses not only effective teaching methods, but also offers structured support for its students. I see the school community as collaborative, reflective and innovative. Kudos to all!

I just remembered bad memories from a family discussion we had today and it should be known.
In my 2002 graduation ceremony, three bad things ruined the day for me. During the announcements of scholarships, mine weren't mentioned even though I had submitted it. An award was announced with my brother's name even though he hadn't even taken the class. I accepted it regardless and corrected the award presenter as he called me my brother's name as I shook hands. An award for the highest grade was given to (I'm not going to mention the name, but I still remember, initials WH) even though I scored one
