Nearly 10,000 years ago, the Lenni-Lenape Native Americans made their way through the Delaware River in search of land, forest and resources. Many of them settled in what we know today as New Hope, Pennsylvania. It wasn't until the early part of the 18th century that New Hope was born. A man by the name of William Penn approved a sale of land to Robert Heath for the purpose of building a mill and establishing his village.

New Hope received more exposure during the American Revolutionary War when General George Washington marched through the town. New Hope also played a role in preparing for the Battles of Trenton and Monmouth. Today, you can visit the Revolutionary War sites where events took place. Other historical sites can be found in Mount Airy, Hopewell Borough, Cranbury and Englishtown.

The River House was amazing. We felt welcomed from the minute we drove up. We arrived early and decided to have a quick bite before checking in. While we were having lunch the attendants were taking our bags to our room.
After a delicious meal we went to our room. We were astonished. It was nicely furnished, spacious and the gas fireplace comfortably heated the room quickly. I loved the rainfall shower too! Although we faced the road it was quite quiet. After daily walks around new Hope it was a great place to rest.
Our last night there was spent at their restaurant listening to live music and

The views are about all this place has going for it, unfortunately. I have been here before, but I must say - it seems as though the place is going downhill. I came here a few months ago and things were pretty good. But there is a clear contrast in how things are going now compared to then. The food has definitely taken a major hit. Seems like it's cooked in a microwave or without any care at all. I don't know what's going on, but it needs to be fixed immediately. Not even for the customer's sake at this point. Mostly for the owner's sake because they're definitely not going to make it at this

Beautiful hotel and property and aesthetically pleasing in every sense for a river front restaurant and lounge. This is as far as the pleasantry goes for this place.
Preface, I am from this area originally, know this area VERY well, lived in Philly for 4 years and now NYC for the last 5.
Food and service are average just fine, plain and simple. Cocktail program is run of the mill and what I would expect of a local new hope mom and pop semi fine dining establishment. Combine this with rooftop NYC drink prices, and it’s laughable. Over $20 for a pour of Talisker 10 scotch for instance. I can

We stopped in on our last night, and first stay in New Hope, to eat at Odetts. We stayed within walking distance this trip and we're curious to check it out after walking the dogs by on a daily. Odetts was a nice change from a failed dinner the night before. Our server, Ambar, couldn't have been friendlier. He even took the time to show us around while we awaited our entrees! The food was great, you will pay for it though. We'd go back, and based on the experience, may choose to stay here in the future. Ambience was great as well. They had live music by a piano man and he was excellent.

Tonight was a HORRIBLE experience. Other than the atmosphere, everything else was terrible. The food was bland, overpriced and deceiving. The server didn’t check on us ONCE once we got our food and the place was dead. My fiancé ordered the meal with the scallops and there wasn’t ONE scallop in the dish. When we confronted the server about this she went to the chef and they stated they were “out” but didn’t inform the server. The cauliflower stake came with a “hash” but was just a few fried onions on a piece of cauliflower and that’s it. It’s clear that this place has a lot of

We couldn’t have asked for more from planning our wedding at River House at Odettes, especially on short notice when we decided to pivot (due to the pandemic) to an intimate ceremony of 50 people. From the incredible views of the Delaware, top tier accommodations, handcrafted cocktails, meticulous and fine dining, and delectable desserts we and our favorite people shared a night we’ll never forget. Their hospitality exceeded any expectations we could have possible had. Bravo and thank you.

This was our first time visiting New Hope, PA. We had a lovely stay at the River House at Odette's. I thought our valet person, Alex, was very welcoming and friendly upon our arrival. We stayed in the Robert Suite, which is located a short walk away from the main hotel and restaurant. It was very spacious and perfect for a family of 4 or 5. We also dined at Odette's for dinner and breakfast and enjoyed drinks at Roof. The decor, vibe and atmosphere at the hotel, restaurant and Roof are very nice! I believe you can only have drinks at Roof if you are staying at the hotel, or if you are a member

We went there for dinner for our 1st wedding anniversary. We live locally and wanted to try it. The drinks were fantastic and the service was great! The food was nothing special and definitely over priced. Later that night I woke with an upset stomach and wanted to exploded. I think there were many preservatives in the food. I had the French onion soup and meatball appetizer. I was really hoping to experience more of a culinary delight.

This place was fantastic. Stayed for the weekend in early October and I would recommend this hotel if you are in the New Hope area. When I arrived I was met by a very entertaining valet staff who took the car and helped get the bags situated. Check in was a breeze and I was in the room in no time.
The room was very nice and over looked the main road which proved to be entertaining; one of the details that I liked was that you could open the window (but not the screen). This was nice because you got the fresh air. The bathroom was large and laid out well. The one thing that I really liked was the

Wonderful rooms and well designed luxury hotel. A nice edition to the more earthy New Hope. Still it has some management issues.
Room wasn't ready at check in, overcharged on a simple room service order, soap and shampoos missing from room, and waited a half hour for the non optional valet service upon check out as our car was "off premises".
It may be worth noting - don't open your beautiful balcony doors to the river at night unless you want your room full of river bugs. For the price of the rooms, issues like these should not happen or at least be followed up by a huge dose of hospitality
