The National Bicycle Dealers Association used to hand out awards each year to bicycle stores, calling out the "Top 100 Dealers". Not wanting to sound like they were rewarding casino employees or gang members, they have since changed the name. The award is now named something a little more self explanatory, and apparently we have just earned the distinction.
Come on in and check out the stationary bike trainers we have in the store. We have a wide selection to choose from, and a few set up so you can try them out. From inexpensive wind resistance units to Fluid resistance versions that deliver smooth and realistic road riding simulation. We have new and used indoor bike trainers from Tacx, Wahoo, Elite and Saris (formerly Cyclops).
Or how about this: You have always ridden your bike with ski-binding-type pedals, but a recent skiing accident has left you with a surgically-reattached ACL that you're nervous about stressing while getting on and off of your bike. Click'rs have the lightest entry and release tension of any Shimano pedal.
With the new Classic Cycle T-shirt, you will be able to comply with at least one of Burger King's rules (No shirt, no shoes, no service). Engineered to exacting standards, our shirts are specifically designed to keep crumbs and spilled beverages off of your chest. These shirts are designed to keep in a small amount of body heat, so you can walk around when it is 65 degrees and not catch cold.
This is a used road bike from Motobecane. It's light, comfortable, fast and user-friendly. It comes well equipped with reliable Shimano 105 parts as well as Shimano SPD pedals. The frame is designed so that it feels fast, but not too fast. Like most good sport bikes you can expect predictable and stable handling.

I am new to the Pacific Northwest and was initially pleased to find a knowledgeable and well equipped bike shop like Classic Cycle. However, I have had nothing but poor experiences there over the course of the summer. I purchased a like-new specialized road bike from them, but the rear wheel fell off while riding straight along the road shortly after leaving the store. They explained that the person that refurbished the bike only had experience with mountain bikes and subsequently installed a "mountain bike axle" or some other special part that, amazingly, is difficult to keep tight.

I recently purchased a new bike from out of state w/o being able to test ride it due to COVID bike shortages. Surprise, the bike shows up, and what do you know, I have some major fit issues. I was signed up for a big ride this past weekend that I was planning to ride my new bike on, but with the fit problems, I was doubtful how wise this was. I quickly scheduled an appointment with a bike PT and shelled out far too much $...only for the fit to be even worse than it was before & for the handling on my bike to now be sluggish.

I went to classic cycle in order to get a new derailleur hanger as I had snapped my old one. I didn't have the broken pieces anymore so I brought in my whole bike so they could find the right one. They took my bike behind the counter and then a few minutes later they brought it back out with the new hanger installed and the derailleur adjusted. I was charged for the hanger and labor. While I appreciate this, I only asked for the hanger, not the labor. The service was amazing and quick, however they should have asked me before doing the labor as I intended to do that myself.

This is the coolest bike shop I've ever been to. Lots of history on the walls, retro vibe, and very chill/friendly staff. I have a Townie bike that needed a new crank, only way to replace it was to go into Seattle (which I did not want to do!), but this shop found a solution and at a bargain price. So thankful!!

Amazing, full service shop right off the ferry on Bainbridge Island. They have one of the most economical youth trade-in policies that both my girls took advantage off as they outgrew their last bike. Experienced mechanics and Paul (one of owners) is modest about his riding history while being an amazing mechanic himself. Great clothing, accessories... and the museum aspect is truly amazing. You won't believe some of the classic frames hanging in this shop! They rent bikes too. Worth dropping by if you visit Bainbridge.

Had a fantastic experience with Classic Cycle. The store has a great selection of bikes (from modern to classic, new and used, mountain bikes to racing bikes) and a ton of accessories. They also can help with repairs and adding parts to cycles. Staff was very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Absolutely love the bicycle I purchased here! 🚲

My husband and I were in town for the weekend and rented bicycles from Classic Cycle. They were kind enough to let us reserve bikes in advance knowing their competitors were closed for the day. The bikes came w/ a rack, lock and helmets and the gentleman who set us up provided a map and some directions. When we mistakenly missed the return deadline, an employee was kind enough to wait behind an extra 15-20 minutes until we made it back to the shop to turn in our rentals ... and was gracious enough not to make us feel (even more) guilty about our mix up. Overall, excellent customer service.

Had the misfortune of stumbling into this seemingly nice bike shop. Not knowing the island we asked about bike rentals and a woman with one of the more unfriendly demeanors I've ever encountered feigned like she'd help us next while assisting two other customers. Upon completing their transaction she gave us a hasty and vague description of the guide points we would soon very much need (as she couldn't be bothered to re-explain the directions in full to us after just explaining them to the other clientele prior). Turns out this island is not the most biker friendly (narrow to no

It was 11AM and we were at the start of a very long ride. My brakes were really acting up so we stopped in front of Classic Cycle. They weren't open until Noon so we started trying to fix the problem ourselves. In the middle of me and my partner arguing over the issue, a man comes up and asks us if we need help. He was the mechanic from the shop! I said "You aren't open yet." He replied "That's ok, I know what's wrong with your brakes. Let's take it inside." Totally surprised, we brought my bike in and he fixed the problem in about 5 mins. He then refused to let me pay! Luckily, my partner needed

Can only give a review base on my experience renting bikes from Classic Cycle. They were very friendly, helping us map out our trek inland to the Bainbridge Brewery, Winery and Distillery. We had no issues renting a pair of very reliable bikes (Felt) with racks and helmets.
It looked like they had a very nice selection of bikes and equipment available for purchase. If you plan on checking on Bainbridge, definitely do it on a bike and give Classic Cycle a look. One word of warning though: Bainbridge is hilly. It's $25 to rent a bike for up to two hours (they weren't firm on that time frame with

Classic Cycle is a great shop. They really know bikes and bike repair. I bought a Ritchie Break Away frame and fork from them. Paul knew I had a limited budget and searched out a "demo" at a significant discount, then mounted running gear from my old bike at no charge.
This is a "Classic" bike shop, no slick sales stuff, lots of knowledge, service and integrity.

Thank you Classic Cycle for making me feel welcome when I came into your store on Saturday. I had just purchased a bike on Craig's List and asked to see what it would cost for a tune up. They came out, looked at the bike, pumped up the tires, gave me a small part for my tire and told me the bike was too small for me but otherwise was good to go. They didn't try to sell me on anything, they just gave me great customer service. I will be back to purchase other things needed for a ride.

Winslow has a variety of on-Island offerings, and the best bike shop right in town would be Classic Cycle. They not only repair bikes, they provide excellent advice to the novice cyclist, have a decent inventory of weather-appropriate gear and bicycle add ons, and the employees are pleasant to speak to about our family cycling needs.
It is quite endearing to watch children with their first bicycles or learning how to properly care for their equipment, and this store seems to be a great option for locals and the commuter population.

So helpful!
Not at all snobby!
Awesome people, and customers too!
My son was cruising around the store on his Stryder and would not stop, everyone was so sweet and supportive of his riding! Instead of being annoyed!
And they switched out 2 bike tires, replaced one, installed a gyro wheel on another and just so fast and then barely charged anything! I was so shocked at the cost!!! I looked for a tip jar!!! I want to say it was Paul who finished the job and rang us up! So impressed, we will do all our bike shopping and repairing here!

I commute to Seattle every day and was sick of the buses. I hadn't been on a bicycle in 20 years, so was a bit intimidated. Jamie at Classic Cycle went above and beyond providing warm, thoughtful, and encouraging customer service. At first I rented one of their Felt Cafe bikes to try out for a day. It was a great ride, perfect for a 5 mile jaunt through the city. When I was ready to buy she spent an hour with me helping me choose the perfect bike, and applied the rental cost toward the price of the bike. No up selling, no pressure, just talking and listening and riding different bikes. I am

All those 5-star reviews below about Classic Cycle are legit! I live in Silverdale but drove to Bainbridge Island because of the reviews alone.
We went to CC exactly two weeks ago with open minds. We left an hour later with a road bike purchase and an incredibly enjoyable learning experience with Aaron. We never tried to hide the fact that I was a casual cyclist, and Aaron never made any assumptions of my needs. He asked a few specific questions about my lifestyle and what I'd enjoy doing most with a bike. He listened attentively and then went to town.
I really enjoyed listening to Aaron

Another five star rating, and I hardly ever give these out. What is happening to me?
This place really goes the extra mile, though, and I know that after only two visits. I brought my bike in for maintenance, and because my ex walked off with my old speedplay pedals; the guys helped me get new ones picked out, as well as fit the bike with some new accessory equipment. When I came to pick it back up again a few days later, they helped me fit my shoes and adjust the tension on the clip-ins, and a woman there gave me some excellent advice for breaking them in safely so that I don't tip over

Super friendly!
$25 for 2-hour rental.
Nice bikes, comfortable seat, and awesome shift gears! A kickstand is kind of funny but the rack on the front or back is awesome.
They have an awesome selection of gifts for people...including recycled gear picture frames, socks that say Classic Cycle, and return to Bainbridge Island if found, and last but not least, the bicycle pizza cutter!

Really convenient because it's located right as you get off of the Seattle ferry, we rented bicycles to cruise the island with from our friendly host "Trevor" who lives on the island and outlined a good route for us to take based on our experience as cyclists. Nice!
The bikes and equipment were good and worked perfectly through all of the terrain on the island including several steep climbs we didn't expect. Nice to know that there is a reliable business to use when cycling the beautiful Bainbridge Island!

I give it 3 to be in the middle. I went here mainly to look at the museum part, but while there my girlfriend had some questions. The guy was a little pushier than I'd liked about what bike she should get. He was trying to convince her about some bike types that would be a comfortable ride for about 20 minutes, but anything longer than that or going on hills would be torturous for.
He wasn't completely pushy, but a little more aggressive about it than I liked. When I contradicted him a time or two I got the impression he wanted to talk to her without me so I couldn't ruin his sales

A full service bike shop (new bikes, parts, repairs) AND Museum. Jeff, the owner, is a serious bike historian who collects bicycling history including the racing bikes and jerseys of the famous bike racers of the early 20th century velodromes. He's even got the old racing bikes with wooden (bamboo) wheels. Amazing stuff! They also rent bikes just up from the ferry landing during the summer and on weekends.
