I hope the AC system worked better. It is a hot as outside. I like everything about this apartment except for the cooling system. Now, imagine your bedroom is as hot as outside. The unit temperature gets cold and hot with the outside weather together. Expect a hot unit if outside is hot and a cold unit if outside is cold. Don't even think about turning the oven during June 2021, it becomes a hell on the planet.
Otherwise, the office management, technicians and the service people are nice.

They have a major pest problem mice roaches. Applications are slow and difficult. They are hard to contact as they don’t answer the phone half the time. They refuse to show you any of their apartments other than their show room which not accurate to the real apartments. Appliances are very outdated.

I lived here about 3 years. First star for the playground second star for the maintenance team, third star is for ladies in office. I know, they are tough but they are functional and helpful. Now, to the points which I am not very comfortable:
1. There are kids skateboarding and yelling, I saw one of them hit somebody's car with skateboard. People just park their car in the middle of the road and doesnt care upcoming traffic.
2. I dont have bedbugs but I experienced cockroach. It came from my neighbor, it vanished after they moved. So it depends.
3. My neighbor smoke weed and I have 9 month

If you like cockroaches and mold then this is the place for you. The management seem friendly when you first come in to take a tour, but after they have your money they will go to the maximum extent to not help you and be rude about it, this place was probably built in the 1950's and hasn't been remodeled since. If I could give these guys a negative stars I would.

EDIT: Lowering Stars. The leasing office makes the process so difficult.
I am speaking as a student at George Mason University. For students, this place is pretty good! They have a pool, they include all the utilities except for WiFi, and you get 3 reserved spots per apartment. The downsides is that sometimes there were issues with payment; and it took a long time to solve. There are some strange occurrences, but they are outliers in the grand scheme of things. I have experienced some negative customer service experiences, but I am basing this off the actual apartment which has been good. I haven’t

Do not move here unless you love mice. there is a MAJOR mice problem and they do nothing about it. a hired exterminator comes to put traps and that’s it. they do not care and do not help with anything. this is the worst apartment complex. even maintenance NEVER comes. everything about this place is awful. do not live here.

Awful management but the neighbors were great. The people in the leasing office are completely incompetent minus the one gentleman they employ. Less than a month after my girlfriend and I moved in, our bathtub started peeling whatever kind of coating they put on it. After putting in a work order they showed up 3 days after they said they would. After they re-coated the tub they left the drain and drain stop completely disassembled. Since the utilities are included in the rent the leasing office has control of when you can use your heat/ac so in the transitional months great ready to freeze or burn

If it were possible I would give Oakton Park Apartments negative 115 stars, I would. I am a person who tries to see the positive in everything and the only positive thing I can say about Oakton Park Apartments is that I moved out, and even that was difficult to do and I spent thousands of dollars to do so (on the day my lease was up).
