I have lived here for a year and 4 months now and still not satisfied. When I first moved in, they had the assistant manager running the entire leasing office, which would explain why they never replied to any of my (or other residences) maintenance requests or needs. If they do respond, they’re always rude or stressed out. When I went to switch apartments due to issues with my roommate, they gave me keys to an apartment that was signed by a different family and said they “didn’t know” it was already signed, they have lost 3 of my packages and whenever I call to get my packages, the “new

My girlfriend and I moved into Ellipse almost a year ago, and we're about to renew our lease. We picked out Ellipse after scoping out ~20 different apartment complexes because it was in the sweet spot of having good quality apartments in a convenient location at a fair rent price.
Early on, we had a couple of issues with the leasing office being unresponsive. A new manager came in over the summer and we haven't had any issues since - if you ever have any issue, just stop by the office and talk to him real quick and he'll get you sorted. You can even see him walking around the complex sometimes

Don't move into the Washington Renovated 2 BR unit #24 available December 27th, 2021. This is our apartment right now. We have been letting the office/maintenance staff know since April (7 months ago) that when it rains water floods into our living room through the windows. I've probably brought this to their attention 10 or 15 times. We've had to move all our furniture away from the wall and watch the forecast to make sure we had plenty of towels setup before rains to keep our stuff from being ruined. Apartment complex with non-exist staff, good luck if you are trying to contact them. Countless emails, phone calls and message are not enought for them to respond, not even a manager or supervisor. Go rent in other place in Fairfax, never in this place. Poor maintenance, dirty commons areas, 0 customer service and expensive high rent. All of the response are “we apologize, we are going to solve your problems” and they never do anything.

I have lived at the ellipse for 3 months now and felt inclined to share my experience after seeing the reviews for this complex.
When I moved in the leasing office had just hired new management and maintenance workers. After spending some time getting to know them I can assure you that they are great people and truly care about the complex. The few issues that I have had since living here have been taken care of immediately. When it comes to putting in a maintenance ticket there is no need to worry because they will be there within a day or two to fix the issue.

I’ve been living at Ellipse for a year and 2 months now. When we first moved in August of 2020, there was a leak in my toddler’s bedroom that took 8 months for maintenance to respond and finally “fix”. We had sent countless emails, countless photos of the leak, the water damage, etc before they finally hired a “contractor” to fix it.
Fast forward to September of 2021, the leak is back. 2 weeks ago we put in a maintenance request and someone came. And like before, they never came back. It seems like we’re going to have to repeat the entire process again to get this leak fixed.

Probably the worst apartment complex ever. Not only did they let me move in with a broken water heater in the middle of winter (which is illegal) there’s also a rat in my apartment. I was informed they can’t send someone out until Friday, and I can’t get in contact with anyone in the office anymore. This is so SO ridiculous. Every time I have an… issue with this place I have to go above and beyond to try and get it fixed. Last time I was able to find the number of the person that owns this entire property, do I need to do that again just to be heard ???

Good neighborhood—close to trails and shops are within walking distance. Highly recommend asking for Reggie for maintenance requests. I’ve had to put in several recently, but he has made the whole experience better. He really cares about getting things resolved and works hard to fix them in a timely manor!

New Maintenance Supervisor is awesome. I have noticed how this property has come a long way since previous maintenance And I have noticed a major change. Love the adequate amount of parking at this complex. The curb appeal is beautiful as well. Overall the apartment is great. Nice and roomy love the updated appliances.

This was literally the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. My (past) roommate and I moved in a week after they said the apartment was available (on a move in date which is forced to be a Friday) and when we asked when we could pick up the key they said in the afternoon. I would expect to be able to enter my own home first thing in the morning on THEIR assigned move in date. When my roommate and I were finally able to get into the apartment (convincing them to let us in by noon) The apartment hadn't been cleaned or prepared for at all. I moved in last July and ever since then there has been a leak from the apartment above me which has caused mold and drywall damage above my shower. For months they refused to acknowledge that there was a leak… and would “fix” the issue by either paining over the mold/water stains or just cut the drywall and replace it. 10 months later they finally came again (after I complained to fairfax county) and finally fixed the leak. I wish they would fixing my AC so it doesn't sound like a fighter jet on my porch. They refuse to fix it after the maintenance man said yesterday he would come back today to put a new fan in. I call him and he said he lied and refused to come fix it. Then after I call the office, they said they didn't believe he would say that when my husband was… here too. Now they won't fix it unless it's 85 degrees outside, which was changed the longer I was on the phone because they said it was 80 at first. So in order to get it fixed it needs to be a sauna. Worst customer service I have ever encountered at a community!! I scheduled an appointment today Saturday 1/12/19 for a tour. I even received an email confirmation PLUS I called ahead of time to confirm my appointment. I came to the office and the only staff member there decline to show me the apartments. Her pathetic excuse was that she was the… only person there. First of all, I’ve gone to plenty of apartments where there was only 1 person working and they would simply lock and close the office for a little to show me around. I don’t live at The Ellipse, however I interact with the staff often as we partner with the community. Just met the new manager and several of the team and I applaud their dedication to the resident’s… experience. I was on site and met with several residents that have lived there for over 10 years! Now that’s resident retention !
