This is an inspiring blend of alignment-based Yoga, linked with fluid vinyasa movements that promote strength, flexibility, alignment and rejuvenation. All classes are lovingly choreographed around a monthly foundational principle that supports awareness, skill and empowerment both on and off your mat.
Created by former yoga teacher, Yamuna Zake, the Yamuna Body Rolling method utilizes dense balls of varying sizes to roll muscles from origin to insertion, providing a workout and deep body massage combined into one. Appropriate for all students, YBR complements Pilates, yoga, and other athletic pursuits by reducing stress and muscle tension, increasing flexibility and range of motion, and creating positive changes within the body.
Developed by Joseph H. Pilates to strengthen and tone muscles, and properly align the body, the Pilates method is an exercise form based on the body being in its most natural state - the state of motion. It is an art form to be practiced and perfected daily, as well as a moving meditation, requiring concentration and precision.
Incorporating the fundamentals of Pilates, this class follows the classical Beginner/Intermediate mat order, and is appropriate for all students. While Intermediate level exercises may be introduced, modifications are always provided.
Although Pilates equipment is not utilized during mat classes, small exercise props such as Magic Circles, weights, bands and balls are often utilized to engage specific muscle groups and assist with body positioning.Combining essential mat work with the benefits of the Pilates Tower equipment, this class is ideal for students of all levels*.

For individuals seeking the benefits of the Pilates equipment, Lotus Mind & Body provides a variety of Private and Semi Private sessions with our certified instructors. Our studio is fully equipped with Reformers, Towers, Wunda Chairs, Barrels, Ped-o-Pul and Cadillac to support every level of study from Beginner to Advanced.

My girlfriend, who loves this place and does a lot of yoga, kept trying to get me to go. I am new to yoga and went to an all levels class. It was great, they made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived, the teacher was encouraging and very professional. It was a great work out and I am looking forward to going back. I bought a 10 class package which was $175, seemed like a good deal.
