I love having a bike shop literally in my neighborhood! It was wonderful to be able to ride there, which isn't possible or much, much harder with many of the other bike shops in Rockville. I went to find out how to get a water bottle holder installed on my custom cargo bike and my son's bike. The mechanic let me know that they usually don't drill into custom frames - totally reasonable - and that they had adapters that could work for both bikes. Excellent customer service and reasonable prices.

Like finding a doctor, dentist, car mechanic you absolutely trust, I've spent years looking for a bike repair shop but my search is over. What a relief. The team at Evo is great, honest and forthright on what was essential to fix on my bikes and what I could wait 6 or more months to address. They could have upsold me & taken my $$. They didn't. Though I didn't need it they also offer mobile service where they come to you to make repairs.

I was recommended by a friend to check out this shop. I deliberately waited 2 months just to make sure that I am providing candid and accurate feedback
This was my first time transitioning toward a nice performance road bike. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Vic was extremely helpful in my journey in picking out a bike for me. Sizing, fit, expectations, the team was able to answer all of my outstanding questions.
Whether it is your first time, or it's the 100th time searching for that road companion(bike). I'd recommend swinging through asking this team to help you find what you

I took my bike to Evo for a tuneup and they did a great job. It was really easy to drop off the bike and they texted me as soon as it was ready. It hadn't been tuned up in a few years, so they totally could have upsold me on services but didn't. Appreciate their honest and nice employees, will definitely go back in the future.

I'm giving 3 stars mainly because of communication. I didn't call in advance, my husband and I just dropped our bikes off for a basic tune up at the end of March. Tip: quote the internet price for $10 off. We saw a lot of bicycles in their garage. They said it would take two weeks. Thought we'd get a call or a text saying the bikes were ready, but we didn't. I called when it was two days after the two weeks were up but got the machine and sent a text, but I never heard back. We went when it was 3 weeks and the bicycles were ready. The tires were not inflated though, which was

I had a general use bicycle that was taking off-road on wooded trails as a new pandemic hobby-- and was not sure if it was safe to do so. Saw during Covid that real mountain bikes have become expensive and hard to come by also. Took my 10 year old GT fitness bike to evo cycle works and had it upgraded to be more like a mountain bike. They put on new aggressive tires, new chain, and new brakes and now can get so much more use out of my old bike instead of searching to buy a new one. The crew gave me a quote with parts and labor and texted me when the bike was ready within a few days. Great service

So, someone left this super nice looking Schwinn bike by my apartment complex's dumpster and I was like, sweet, free bike. Aside from the gears being touchy, it's great! After a few rides, however, I noticed a tire was consistently flat. So I looked up bike shop and Evo had the best reviews.
One day during the week, I stepped out of work and drove over to Evo. They have walk in hours on Thursday starting at 2 p.m. I showed up right at 2 and had no wait, but by the time I left 20 minutes later, there was a line of about 3-4 people.
Each tire was a steal at $10. I didn't have the

The story goes, I hadn't rode my vintage 1990s bike in about 8 years. I brought the bike to eVo and dang, if they didn't bring the bike back to new condition. In fact, better than new. Vic and his team updated the gear shifters for me to join the 21st century. Very reasonable pricing and turn around time, although with this level of customer service, I can understand how they can get busy. Evo also has pick up and delivery which is super convenient. I chose evo based on the reviews and I must say, I couldn't be happier. The only thing they couldn't do is get my leg muscles back

I brought in my bike on a Friday morning during their Studio Full Service Days. I got there at about 11:10 and was the 4th person in line. I am very pleased with the service I received. I got a "quick safety check and tune up". I appreciated that I was walked through on what was being done on my bike.

I love how the website says this is a woman-friendly business - that stuck out to me since I've never seen a business advertise that before. I'm sure that holds added meaning for more avid riders, especially those who might frequent the shop, but I appreciated it just the same as a stay-at-home mom during the pandemic.
Service was prompt, convenient, and the work was fairly priced and high quality. Vic came to my house, assessed the bike, took it with him, and returned it when the work was complete. I felt comfortable, informed, and accommodated - and I KNOW that my bike has received top notch

Wow, Vic came to my house and educated me on what my "vintage" bike would need in order to run again and he gave me an estimate that was very reasonable. He was completely honest about timing and what I could expect. Then we talked about the option of a new bike and his estimate was, again, very reasonable. No hidden costs to shock me later. Everything clearly laid out. I have two viable options and a sense of satisfaction whichever way I go forward.
5 stars for Evo!

After purchasing my Checkpoint AL 3 from Trek in Rockville and not having the best experience, I decided to go to Evo and get some new tires, new saddle, and have the bike properly fitted.
Vic and his team did all of this for me in a quick and timely manor, while continuing to be friendly and very helpful. My bike feels newer than it was the day I got it.

My kid's bike was having a recurring issue.
I know how to turn a wrench and that's about it. I could get the bike working but didn't know how to identify or diagnose anything. And especially something that requires adjustments and a bit of finesse like adjusting brakes takes me a long time to do and I wasn't sure if was done right. So that and the issue occurring again didn't give me confidence in my kid's bike, especially given the fact that they like blasting down big hills.

Vic is wonderful. He was very detailed in understanding what I was looking for in the redo of my Giant Perigee. He actually found a wonderful pearlized paint that they had not used before and mastered the application for my bike. The tune up was incredible and I am enjoying my classic Giant more than ever now. I wouldn't go to anyone else - Vic and Evo Cycle Works are a gem!

Not too happy with this bike company! :( I brought my wife's bike in last week to get an inspection before doing a bike tune-up. The owner took a look at the bike and said I would need a performance tune-up, due to the amount of rust on the brake system (wiring) and that he didn't have the time to work on the bike that day, due to being completely swamped for the week. But, as I was heading out with my wife's bike he decide to give me an appointment the following Saturday, which is today.

Vic and EvO took my Redline fixie 29er and turned it into a full-blown on and off-road DC commuter. I came to EvO with an idea but I needed help with basically everything else. This project required installing a new crankset, cassette, hanger, bar-end shifter, and a whole host of other very custom work that fell well outside what most typical bike shops deal with. Vic is a custom bike builder who can do basically everything else you basic bike shop does but better. He even put on a carbon fork for me at a very reasonable price! Again, EvO does everything from custom builds (like building a new

Vic is literally the man!! I was looking into getting into cycling and he helped figure out the type of bike I would need and kept it in budget. After getting the bike ordered, one week later it's ready to pick up and it is beautiful. Rides like a dream and he even helped adjust the seat and assisted me with putting the car on the bike rack I also questioned him about.
I will for sure go to him when the mrs is ready to ride with me!
