So, I really didn't want to write this review but it's like they're asking for it, so here we go.
I had my appointment last August(2020). I called and explained exactly what I needed. I had two surgeries in the past so I needed a full check-up to be sure that everything is okay. The woman on the phone confirmed that I can get a check-up there.

Dr. Mark Chung Sold His practice to Total Vision LLC and not run with the level of care it used to be. :(
The Level of service has gone down and now they are pushing sales and not professional service. Felt very rushed and just a number. Even my brother commented on how Dr. Chung is checked out.
$250 for contact lens fitting is ridiculous. Looks like I am not the only one to feel this way.
Bernice my favorite is no longer at the Practice. Sad!
I am now looking for a new Optometrist

Dr. Chung and his team provided the best experience. I left a message inquiring about a possible appointment. Gilmer promptly returned my call, helped me find an appointment and informed me of the office's commitment to keeping the office sanitary. I don't like giving negative reviews but my frames are way too small and my experience here was frustrating. They rushed it all and tried to upsell the entire time. I'm out of the country and stuck with these expensive glasses that don't fit. At the time of exam I had a broken vessel in my eye. I thought something was in my eye but the optometrist looked and said "I can't get it out." He didn't recognize the actual problem and just tried to get me out of the chair.

I have been going to West Hollywood Optometric for nearly 20 years now! I absolutely adore Dr. Chung. I also love Bernice who runs the office with grace and ease is the BEST at helping find the best frames for your face. Gulmer is also amazing and has a wonderful cherry attitude. I always look forward to my check ups. Oh and Dr. Chung knows more about the contact lens options of the world more than ANYONE I know. I've referred friends to Dr. Chung who thought they just couldn't wear contacts and ended up finding the right match. If you're looking for someone to care for your vision

Dr. Chung keeps an impeccably clean office and I was impressed by the high-end equipment he uses. Seems to be the latest and greatest. I really like the selection of brands and styles of glasses - I'm super picky and have a hard time picking frames on my own. His staff has always been helpful and patient - and I've always been happy with the results. My last three frames were from there. Dr. Chung is really professional, but also puts me at ease - I actually have a good time going to see the eye doctor now!

This review is for a Dr. Dizon. He was very Thorough, Super Nice, & Took His time with me so that I was Happy & Confident with my updated prescription. Because of Covid I hadn't had an eye exam for 2 years and my vision had changed in that time. He also gave me a hand out on how to take care of my dry eyes & fitted me for more comfortable contact lenses that were even newer & more breathable than Acuvue Oasys. I like when my Provider knows what the latest & most innovative lens are. I also talked to the Manager upfront Bernice & the Assistant Guilmur who got me my prescription

I have been going to see Dr. Chung now for over 20 years and have always received top-notch customer service not only from him but everyone who works there. Having worn extended wear contact lenses most of my life, Dr. Chung suggested recently that I try the new Daily Wear contacts that are supposed to be healthier for my eyes. My eyes are very hard to fit and didn't expect to get the clarity I have with my thicker extended wear but Dr. Chung came through and I see crystal clear and my eyes are getting more oxygen at the same time so it's a win-win situation! Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm still in awe with my jaw down to the floor with experiencing such an amazing visit! From the moment I scheduled my appointment, then entering this place and receiving such a cheerful and welcoming greeting from the team, my entire visit was amazing! I came here for an eye exam for some glasses and contacts. The doctor was so thorough and patient. (There's no body language or frustration when you're asked one or two, which is better?! And you feel like you're failing your eye test) I strongly felt that their prices were great for the quality of their products

I don't understand, how this place can have 5 stars. Super unfriendly and arrogant lady at the check in, doctor did a good job but 250 for an eye exam is super expensive, even for LA. They tried to upsale 500 $ lenses and wanted to deny giving out the eye exam. I thought that's a joke. Overall NOT recommended, I fell for the sponsored add and thought they are the best rated - learned my lesson. Beware!

My experience was great. They were very straightforward about their Covid precautions. I was required to wear a mask and they checked my temperature at the door. Dr. Chung was amazing and explained everything he was testing me on. I will definitely tell my friends about his office and I can't wait for my glasses to come in. I can't remember the name of the guy in the front but he helped me pick out the perfect frames. Thank you!

Unwelcoming environment for young, black women. I came in for a quick treatment for an eye infection and Dr. Chung was very off-putting. I am also suffering from Graves' eye disease at the moment and he pretty much insulted the appearance of my protruding eyes. He gave me a prescription for the infection which worked well but when I ran out of the prescription the infection hadn't completely cleared. I called to ask for a refill, and I was told I had to reschedule and come back in first. The day before my next appointment, 30 minutes before they closed, I was contacted by the front desk

I like Dr. Chung, but respectfully speaking, I thought the “fitting” charge was a little ridiculous. It’s the exact same contacts I’ve been wearing for the past two years. What fitting? I guess for giving me 5 contacts? If I had known, I would’ve brought a replacement pair from home, or just put the same lenses I took off back.

I’ve been going to Dr. Chung for 5 years and absolutely love him. He’s attentive and lovely to talk to. Every time I go in for a check up he’s finding contacts that are more comfortable and allow more oxygen flow. He’s also very aware of what insurance will cover and finds ways to maximize it. He saw me when I was pregnant and eased my mind that prescriptions do change sometimes during pregnancy. He’s also very fast with appointments so you are in and out quickly.

I work for a major eyewear retailer, and I know there are other, digital/technical ways to have your vision tested. However, there is no substitute for the complete eye care you get from a caring and expert professional like Dr. Chung. The staff in the office is knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a great assortment of the latest frames from the top brands.

Dr. Chung truly runs a courteous, professional medical practice. My husband, who is an ophthalmologist in Orange County, and I were in LA for a few days during the Memorial Day weekend. My husband forgot to pack his contact lenses so we called Dr. Chung's office, which was the closest optometry office to our hotel, and we spoke to George. We explained our situation to George and asked if we could possibly purchase some contact lenses from their office as a professional courtesy, from doctor to doctor. George was so polite and helpful. He gave my husband 2 strips of daily contact lenses

Dr. Chung is so professional and knowledgeable. I moved from Los Angeles for a while and tried many different optometrists. I was never happy and they all tried to upcharge me with additional tests. I just moved back to L.A. and Dr. Chung was one of my first stops. He's one of the best optometrists I've ever seen.
