Pedal Power Bike & Ski
Pedal Power has just received our largest shipment of bikes in over a year. The 4 Trek bikes pictured above, are among them. There are lots (in 2022 terms!) of kids bikes, lots of fitness bikes, a few road bikes, and a small number of mountain bikes. Yes, we know it's October, so why would you buy one now?

Many folks probably think, "Oh well, I'll just wait till Spring". But if that's what you're thinking, we've got bad news. These bikes were mostly ordered in May and June of 2020. Virtually no bikes are in open stock at any of our suppliers, and some bikes we order today will not arrive until late Spring of 2024! (Not a joke, and not a misprint.)
Services
Pedal Power Bike & Ski was founded in 1975. We had just completed a 1700 mile bike trip from Massachusetts to Florida and we were hooked. We're still here, and we're still hooked. We're deeply committed to treating our customers right. That's why every new Pedal Power bike is covered by our exclusive Client Care program.
Strider's Classic 12 is a lightweight, pedal-less balance bike that allows your child to straddle the bike with both feet on the ground and easily propel the bike by walking or running. This nimble steel bike lets your little one focus on the fundamentals of balancing, leaning, and steering without the distractions and complications of pedals or training wheels.
Whether you're just getting into road cycling, commuting, or just looking for a new bike, the Specialized Allez is the perfect choice. Featuring a lightweight alloy frame, carbon fiber fork, and mounts for racks and fenders, it's as performance-packed as it is versatile.

Not only does a light bike feel better when you're climbing up a hill, but it's also essential when you're carrying your bike up to the 5th floor, and this was at the forefront of the frame design. With a redesigned E5 Alloy frame, the Allez features a class-leading weight. Aggressively thin-walled, yet tough, tubes have been implemented to save weight, as well.
Crockett has made a name for itself in world's biggest cyclocross races, including the World Cup. But it's also right at home on your local circuit or gravel roads. Wherever it's ridden, Crockett Disc frameset likes to go fast and have a good time. Its advanced alloy frame looks and handles like carbon for a solid start on the cyclocross bike of your dreams.
How many times have you been ready to ride, only to be confronted with a flat tire? Well, Specialized's Alibi wants you to be pumped up to ride, not pumping up your tires. That's why it comes with tires that don't need any air at all. That's right, you can kiss your pump goodbye, and more importantly, you can say goodbye to ever having a flat tire again.

Great service, great people. They will go out of their way to do the right thing for you, even if it means charging you less. Highly recommended.

Love this local shop - got my skis tuned up here with a basic sharpen & wax and called at 5:07pm to pick up my skis on a Tuesday since they’re closed Wednesday’s. The shop lady was so sweet and met us after hours for pick-up. Will be tuning my skis here every winter from now on!

Amazing team! I shopped around for bikes for months and the staff at Pedal Power were by far the most helpful and experienced. They take customer service to the next level! They talked me through bike options, put me in their book, and called me as soon as any bikes that might work for me were available. I LOVE my new bike! And I will definitely be back!

Just picked up my Specialized Sirrus a few days ago. The bike had to be built, so the person on the phone mentioned it could take a few days to be ready due to the COVID situation. I picked up the bike a few days later, the bike was perfectly set up and was ready to ride that day. They are offering contactless pickup on orders as well, so it's safe. Great Experience!!!

The nicest! Last weekend I was visiting from out of town and my bike rack broke. They went above and beyond to help me fix it. I hadn't purchased it there and they were definitely busy on a Saturday morning. If you care about doing business with good people - go to Pedal Power.

Contacted them by phone (promised to get back to me) and then followed up with an email inquiring about a new bike. Never heard back from them. One thing I learned in life that this usually is a good indicator of the overall service one might expect and get from a small business. The reviews here kinda confirm it too. No problem finding another bike shop, which, btw, couldn't be more helpful.

We stopped here on the recommendation of our son because I had a flat tire but wanted to bike this afternoon. My flat was fixed in about 40 minutes, for a very reasonable price, $26. As my wife and I waited, we looked at the bikes for sale, talked to the sales people about choosing bikes, and (at their suggestion) had some adjustments to my wife's bike. They were exceedingly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Although we don't live close to the shop, it is near our son and we will definitely be back.

Bought my bike here in the fall. I am not a die hard cyclist but I raced in my youth, and so was very particular about being satisfied and comfortable with what I was getting. This shop took a lot of time to make sure I was getting the right size and features in my price range. Several people helped out with different aspects of the bike. Very happy with them and with my new bike. They are a great example of buying locally to get great service at the same price as a huge chain store or online.

I really wanted to like this place. I stopped in Saturday. There were about four people working that I could see. I was not acknowledged at all as I entered. I thought ok, everyone seems to be doing something, no big deal. I was the only other person who wasn't being helped. That's fine. I proceeded to browse around. There is not a tremendous selection but it's comparable to a similar sized shop. 15-20 minutes later.......Another person walks in and within 5 minutes they are asking him if they can help him.....

if I'm a customer, I expect to be acknowledged and treated fairly

I looked up the store to verify the hours - I need some help. I saw the reviews and thought I'd add mine.
The selection of bikes is consistently quite extensive and varied. They have a large selection of accessories and parts, and a decent array of tools. They have a very impressive selection of cycling shoes.
Their technical repair knowledge is outstanding - I do most of my own repairs, but they have always given me lots of guidance. In 30 minutes I will have acquired a new center cap bolt for my 3 year old Ultegra crank and I will find out exactly where the spacer goes on the crankshaft. Mike

This is a quick first hit - but I visited them for the first time recently in need of a simple part - just a bolt/locking nut combo. Nothing fancy, but essential.

The guy who helped me was happy to assist - and found a perfect match on the bench. The best part, he sent me off free of charge. Granted it was just a little piece of hardware, but to me, that signifies great customer service.

I'll be back for other bike needs without a doubt.
