Michael, the owner of the company was hired to do an inspection on a house we are selling, during the inspection of the house he turned the oven on, and then left the oven on after leaving the property. It wasn't until 5 days later that we entered the home again to find the oven had been left on.
When speaking to Michael about this, he made light of the fact "That him and ovens.. hahahahaha" .. as if there was something funny about it.
Be careful, there are too many home inspectors out there to choose the guy who's attention to detail ends at leaving the oven on that could burn down your house

Mike is the man for the job! I'm a first time home buyer and Mike took his time (5+ hours) to make sure he addressed everything was checked and was checked thoroughly. With that said, he doesn't charge by the hour, he charges by the job. He works with your best interest in mind. He will point out the good and the bad and the possibilities. Was wonderful to walk with him throughout the house, he gave me all sort of tips about the level of repair needed, and touched on how you would be able to do it. I found a home I wanted to buy. I wanted a inspection, the seller told me ( you don't need a inspection ) He said the home is well maintained. I told the seller ( I will pay for it) so I called INSPECTION SPECIALIST. Mr Mccabe saved me thousands of dollars. The home did not have a proper water heater for this home, among the the other things wrong. Thanks to the inspectors report, I was able to get everything addressed on the list, and $20 thousand off asking price. Wow, Mr Mccabe saved me from a money pit disaster. TYVM
