MASKS NOT REQUIRED, GOING AGAINST NC LAW. Your initial appointment must be in person, and I was asked to remove my mask. I declined. Otherwise, the initial appointment was ok (despite me talking about leaving my previous religion but being told to look at local synagogues) and left with a prescription. The medication didn't work for me due to life-threatening side effects, so I requested a 20 minute follow up telehealth visit. At this visit, I was told the medication "worked" despite the severe side effects and when I requested a new medication, I was told to call back when I knew what medication

Dr Olarte is a very skilled physician! He has always been very caring and knowledgeable, easy to talk to, an excellent listener, sincerely dedicated to what he does. In addition to being an excellent psychotherapist, he has a tremendous knowledge of pharmaceuticals and the latest scientific literature. It is clear that Dr Olarte is very dedicated to best interests of his patients. He does expect his patients to be involved in their own care but that is a good thing. Not only is he a stellar doctor, he is a really good person too, a real mensch. The office staff is consistently friendly, capable

Olarte....You are fired. What a bunch of crooks in this place. They have placed my daughter in collections for missing an appointment due to car trouble, not only that. The doctor keep sending my daughter letters threatening with dropping her services if she doesn’t pay that “No show fee”. You are supposed to be helping her and not scaring her. You are getting paid for your services. Don’t even make the mistake to call the billing woman. She is a horrible person to talk to, very disrespectful and she just doesn’t want to listen when you talk, she talks over you. I’m calling UHC Monday

I had been going to N. Raleigh Psychiatry for several years. I had never missed an appointment or even been late in all that time, though I had waited in the waiting to be seen on multiple occasions for 30-45 minutes. All that for a 15 minute appointment. The one time I was late I called and explained I was stuck in traffic and would be late. I finally got there (15 minutes late) and was told my appt. was over and would I like to reschedule? After calling ahead and sitting in traffic for an hour to get there I found this totally unacceptable and will not be going back. Why is it ok for them

Went here for over a year....my physician moved out of state and apparently this made me a new patient to the practice....I missed the initial appointment with my new dr and was billed a $400 missed appointment fee. My chart was lost prior to this appointment as well so I will not be able to go to a different practice and get medications as they will not have my compete record. This $400 fee is obviously an effort for financial gain and while I understand this is a business it seems a long standing patient should not be charged a $400 fee. RIDICULOUS!!!!

I saw Dr. Olarte for several months and he was very insightful, empathetic, and helpful. Some of the office's policies, on the other hand, have been blatantly put into place for financial gain. You are allowed ONE late cancel, meaning less than 24 hours notice, after which you are billed $150 without hesitation. This includes illnesses, emergencies, etc. and the 24 hours is only considered if you call during their somewhat limited business hours. It's one thing to expect timeliness and respect from your patients, but another entirely to create a financial burden for people when things come up unexpectedly

Dr. Olarte helped me when I had Postpartum Depression after my second child's birth. I had struggled with anxiety and depression all my life, and had lots of different doctors over the years. Dr. Olarte got me on meds - helped me understand that I would be on meds the rest of my life - "if you had a heart condition, would you take your medicine? Well you have a brain condition and you need to take your medicine." And he taught me CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) which is an evidence-based approach to dealing with your emotions. I haven't seen him regularly in over 5 years, but I recommend people
