Under the direction of Dr. Arturo Olivera, our highly-experienced nursing staff has been caring for people in the Chicago area over 40 years, helping them feel and look their best. After requesting an appointment, please check your email for a message confirming your appointment. New patients will need to register on our Patient Portal and submit in-take forms before their appointment. Forms can be submitted here!. If a patient has missed their appointment and not rescheduled, a no show fee of $25 will be charged at the end of the work day.

I have lost 30lbs and still going! I appreciate the honest feedback. Losing weight is not easy, especially when you fall off the wagon. I have vented and cried in your office and you have always been patient and understanding.

Two weeks ago, I made an appointment for Saturday, October 23th at 9:00 am for my mom and myself to get the Mayers Cocktail, well today at 8:03 am when we were on our way, one of the assistants called me and told me that because my mom is over 75, she needs a letter from her doctor stating that it is ok for her to get this treatment...REALLY??
I took the day off from work to get this theray and take my mom there and ONE hour before they told me about this requirement??

I was iffy about this place when I first started, I tried it and stopped cause my mindset was not there. when I finally got on board with changing my life style and habits. this place was great! the first 1/2 of the year the weight was coming off. After researching several Chicago weight management centers, I happened to stroll into Olivera. I have to admit that I love this place! Everyone is super nice and welcoming. Madiha and Liz rock my face off! Unlike their competitors near the loop, this's place runs like a well oiled machine. I love that they open at 7, but that changes in January. :-(

I have been going to the weight clinic on and off for several years. There has been a large turnover of staff. Many were very helpful and were able to give good dietary advice. All of these people are no longer employed. Yesterday I met the rudest nurse practitioner I have ever met. She lied to me and had a person with her in training. What an example to teach new staff! Other staff are only able to take your blood pressure and pulse and have no education regarding weight loss. I am sorry to say I will never return.

This is a great place to go if you need help with your weight loss efforts. The staff is kind, caring, patient, compassionate, and supportive. I started going last month and have lost 12 pounds. The phentermine helps me so that I don't make the wrong choices for my meals during the month. While taking the pills I am finding that fast food and even chocolate are a turn off to me. I have been following a low fat diet along with the pills. The first month I didn't exercise very much because of my excessive poundage. This month I have started walking up and down the stairs at work instead

It is now 4/8/13~ I have lost an additional 5-7 lbs. For a total that is around 20lbs!!!! I feel great! But I have plateaued a little. I have been stressed finishing school, so I have not been exercising at all. The phentermine helps me keep my weight stable and gives me some energy at the start of my day. i will be graduating by May and will be working out more! Will continue to update. I went to Dr. olivera in 2006-07 and I dropped down from 263 to 223. I have kept the weight off now and will be going back to finish what I started. I also joined WW again to maintain and La Fitness. It is easy to gain weight back but I did my own plan, which helped me lose weight the way I needed to. It helped not taking the pills on weekends and learning to control my eating myself. This place is great and I'm going back on Thursday of next week!

I use to go to a doctor in Lansing IL for this same B12 shot and Phentermine a few years ago. There it was MUCH cheaper, it was only abouy $45, here at Dr. Olivera they charge $80 but $70 if you have the $10 coupon. I wont complain because #1 Dr. Olivera is much closer and #2 my old doctor stop selling Phentermine. I must say this diet DOES work!! I lost alot of weight BUT if you dont stick to a diet and/or exiercise and go back every month for follow up visits then that weight you lost will come back SUPER FAST!! I lost about 25 in a month but over 6 months gained that PLUS 60 more back!! Now
