I had an excellent experience with Dr. Lutfi and his team. From beginning to end they were informative, and caring. They kept me on track towards surgery for my six months, and I felt at ease and confident when going in for surgery. Would highly recommend this practice if you are considering bariatric surgery.

5 years later and I'm still receiving the same exemplary service I got the very first time I went into their office. Thanks to Dr. Lutfi and his team I was able to conceive, not 1, but 2 beautiful babies...and to think I was repeatedly told that kids were not a possibility for me. I am so grateful that I found Dr. Lutfi and his team. I began the process of preparing for Bariatric surgery in 2017 with another larger practice. I had been approved for surgery by my insurance previously, and I have still had a hard time getting a surgery date and getting the process going. I had the greatest experience. Extremely gentle care. All my fears were put at ease. My counseling pre and post surgery was concise and explained to me at a level I could understand. It has taken a long time to write this review. I went to lufti a few years ago looking to get bariatric surgery. his staff weren't that kind but i see the problem fat shaming lady named markey? has left. but basically i was set to do an upper endoscopy to check things out. i was put under and then abruptly woken and thrown out of the procedure room. see they food still in my stomach even though i fasted more than I needed to. I’m three weeks post-op today and can’t say enough good things about Dr. Lutfi and team. My entire experience with them (except surgery) was virtual due to COVID but I always felt like a valued patient and it never took more than a day to get answers to questions. The actual surgery was great as well, between the surgical team and my care at Illinois Masonic. I’ve had numerous questions post-op and the team has been prompt and super helpful there as well. Dr Lufti and his team are the BEST! I had my lap band removal done in Feb 2020 and revision to RNY done 9/8/2020, but have been talking to Dr Lufti and his team in order to prep for the right surgery for over a year now. He and his staff walk you through the process every single step of the way, they are responsive, they unblock hurdles for you, and they make sure your entire bariatric experience is seamless from beginning to end. My experience with Dr. Lutfi and his staff was/is excellent. I sent an online request for additional information on surgery and I was contacted the same week. Lutfi and his staff were very respectful of my health journey and walked me through the whole process. I am someone who doesn't always understand my insurance paperwork and his staff helped make sure all that was taken care of. The day of the surgery was smooth and post operation the office contacted me to check in. Dr. Lutfi and his entire staff are amazing! I had my surgery in July of 2018, I am currently 7 months post op and I can honestly tell you that my life was forever changed! I have lost almost 100 lbs. I had the VSG done on 4/18/18 along with a hiatal hernia fix. I also had an EGD in the office in March. This staff is a well oiled machine. I felt very well taken care of from beginning to end. I thought all of the information would be overwhelming but it wasn't due to this staff. Shout out to Erin, Markie, and Natalia. Dr. Lufti fun, genuine and has great energy. I always laughed when he was around. I felt safe and secure in his care and he's the best in Chicago in my opinion.
