A Home Inspection is a non-invasive visual examination of a residential dwelling, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify observed material defects within specific components of said dwelling. Components may include any combination of mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, or other essential systems or portions of the home, as identified and agreed to by the Client and Inspector, prior to or during the inspection process.

During my home search, which involved two contracts and inspections, I was delighted to work with Mark Johnson at Discover It Home Inspections. Mark was prompt, thorough, communicative, and focused throughout the entire inspection process at both properties. He spent nearly 4 hours at each property, and both of them were around/under 1200 sq. ft. - you can imagine how thorough that work was! This is a very small family owned business and the owner Bill shows extreme integrity, reliability, and shows due diligence to everything he is involved in the process. Bill spent 3-and-a-half hours at our new house, conducting an extremely thorough inspection. We were enormously impressed with Bill’s comprehensive report including photographs of concerning areas of the house. He wrote up every section with detailed notes that we could share with a contractor/handyman to complete the work. You want Bill on your side when buying your house. Bill worked very hard for us. He is extremely thorough in every aspect of the home inspection. Very detail oriented. He was extremely flexible with scheduling. We had to move dates and times several different occasions. Took the time to explain things that we didn’t understand. Mark Johnson was very professional and thorough. I used them in the purchase of my first home which is very nerve wracking. Mark did the first inspection and then came back out to double check the work the seller agreed to do. I felt very confident going to settlement after speaking with Mark.
