Really enjoy staying here, The Crimson was my very first choice when I moved here in August! I’ve told my friends about staying here in the future and their on board. The staff and maintenance are always helpful and really understanding of different situations. 11/10 🤘🏾

The crimson is a very nice place to stay, love the vibe it gives off and Morgan has helped us since move in day. She’s new but we would not have known that unless she told us. We highly recommend The Crimson.

Morgan was such a rockstar! The ways she is able to personalize the tenets and all the families she meets is amazing! She has such a talent for making everyone feel welcome. The Crimson needs to find a way to copy and paste her! Wish I could give her the 5 stars not just The Crimson! She deserves them all!

The Crimson is such a nice property in Tuscaloosa! The quality of the units along with the variety of amenities makes this one of the best places to live. Morgan Tingle is amazing at what she does in the front office. She has great customer service and shows she genuinely cares about the residents and prospective residents. If you need help with the leasing process, she is your go to gal!

The crimson is a fantastic place to live! Marley at the front desk has been very helpful with any questions I ever have. Their staff is so sweet and is always willing to go above and beyond. The maintenance staff will recognize me when I am out and send treats with me to give to my dog! The property is very safe and well maintained. I am impressed that this is student living! I would highly recommended this place to anyone!

We thought this would be a safe place for a student new to the area. It wasn't. The staff was very rude and disrespectful. They constantly changed the rules of their agreement. They took stuff from her apartment and threw it away. They rejected her mail.

Danielle Hewitt & Jeffrey Greg in general were very difficult to deal with.

Especially if you are from out of state, I would not recommend this to any new students coming to the University of Alabama.

Living at the crimson has been one of the worst experiences of my life. Upon our first week of moving in, my roommates car was stolen. This could've been prevented if they'd keep the gates closed 24/7 as they say they do. On top of this, the building I live in only one of our front gates work. None of the other gates are properly locked and if they are, not even the residents can get in.The security cameras on site also don't work, they told us only 3 of the ones on site work. They also told us they were going to get them fixed, it has been months since we were promised this with

I would give this living facility a 0 if I could. My daughter moved into these apartments in August of 2020 with hopes it was everything it advised it's grounds to be. Since that time the office is completely disorganized; not to mention unprofessional and in utter disregard for how these young adults live. The office is run by children. The "set rent" "set fees" you sign up for is not the case at all. They raise the rent monthly and when you call to ask why they justify it with lay terms and expect that to be acceptable.

Their are local cops their at this facility or

I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. My daughter lived there last year and to this day wish we would have turned around and left. The apartment was not clean, smelled horrible, mold growing around the air vents, door did not lock, clothing was found in the sofa, someone painted 1/2 the ceiling (a unmatched color), her bathroom sink was not attached to the counter. The more we cleaned the more issues we found. The one star is only because the office and maintenance did try to remedy and fix the issues and were responsive. Needs a major renovation or lower the rent for what you

Not only is my daughter unsafe because the gate is never down but also because her building door is always broke. My daughter returned home from fall break and her door lock, not her key, was not working after two people came
Out they informed her she could not stay there and had to get a ladder to access her apartment that had her book and items for school. This place is unsafe, careless and overpriced. Do NOT send your child to this apartment complex. ALSO they continue to insist on having lease terms met even though there is a pandemic AND changing environment. It is MONEY and slumlording and

My daughter lived there for the past school year. When we moved her in, the apartment hadn't even been cleaned and we had to ask someone to come in and clean. That was the 1st sign that this wasn't going to go so well.
Even after the cleaning person came in, it was still dirty. We ended up coming in afterwards and still had to clean; I've never heard of such a thing.
My daughter and the 3 other girls she lived with were put on the 1st floor (with their apartment right next to the busy road and intersection) which concerned me but what was more concerning was that every time I came

This is the worst place I ever lived and the elevator did no work for most of the year. I lived here with my friend in a three bedroom and I was given a random roommate and they gave me this drug dealing criminal as my roommate. I came home one day to see my whole apartment getting ripped apart by DEA agents and cops all because this management put me in that room together, even though I wasn't in any trouble, they still tore up my room. I wonder how the crimson let him live here because he was a felon. Shows you how much they care about their tenants. This place is money hungry and will

Gates never work really fun standing in the rain with a broken gate. WiFi is terrible. Only about 3 sockets in the whole apartment work. Maintenance comes quickly but the dishwasher was broken and supposedly fixed but barely cleans dishes. Water doesn't drain in the bath tubs unless you get maintenance to come fix it occasionally. Tv in living room with work every now and the. But not enough to brag about. Wasn't clean on move in day. Elevators smell awful, throw up in the bottom of it on many occasions. The room they show you is not as big as the one you will get so don't buy too

I am a current resident and this place is bad. First of all I signed a 12 month lease but they would not leave me move in until mid August and would not prorate any of my rent. They gave some excuse that they charge a total amount for the year. This is nonsense no one does that and they ripped me off 15 days of rent. Second they charge you many fees and expenses with no justification. Examples are on your first bill you get a utility set up charge for $50 with no explanation which is $200 a unit. When asked why they said it's to set up the utilities but they never gave any evidence that any

I would not recommend CSL to any students looking for off campus housing. They charged me an entire months rent in August but would not allow me to move in until August 19th. This I was told, was to allow the staff to have cleaners and painters refurbish the unit after the old tenant moved out. When I moved in the carpet was disgusting and the cabinets were covered in a sticky residue. Every month I am charged for electricity and this bill is higher than my parents electric bill in their 3500 square foot house. The staff members are rude and not understanding at all.

My daughter has lived here since 2015 and even signed a second lease. In the two years that she's been there there have been 5 different managers. As such I would not count on the current situation reflecting the reviews that were posted previously. There was also a change in ownership in late 2016 which has resulted in many property improvements.

The current GM, DeJuan, is extremely helpful and I would not hesitate to sign here again if my daughter were not graduating. The gates are always closed now and the walking gates that were previously broken have all been fixed so my daughter feels

My closet had a moisture/ventilation issue and my stuff got RUINED. Now they sent me a bill trying to charge me $500+ for it..****

***The manager Amy Verner contacted me directly to explain the miscommunication with my charges. She was very professional and direct to me about it. Wish I could have talked to her sooner. She is definitely trying to improve the quality of crimson. Talk to her if you need anything!

I forgot to add an additional "pro" which is that each unit (furnished or unfurnished) comes with a flat screen TV already mounted to the living room wall. **nice!***
