I moved my son this weekend and thought I would share some feedback on the experience. I was required to complete a checklist prior to taking possession of the unit. It would have been helpful if the District Lofts had an internal checklist to ensure the rental was ready prior to the move in date.
• Apartment was still dirty with garbage items (Toilet paper roll, Q-tips, allergy pills,) Cabinets in Kitchen and Bathroom had remaining items.
Ceiling fan had dirt caked on the blades. Closet inside door was off track, I was able to repair this (seems to be functioning properly).

My first year living here was wonderful. Management was great and the property was always clean. However, its seriously gone downhill the past few months. The hallways are always dirty. In August, I woke up to management unlocking/opening my door without notice and saying "Oh you haven't moved out yet" even though I renewed my lease. The doors to the building haven't even locked since August 15 (Caleb, the manager, told me they won't be fixed until "November-ish" at the earliest). It used to be 100% worth the price, but unless management changes, I'd highly recommend saving your money and living

Place went down hill, use to be an awesome place to live with the old staff. Robb was the best maintenance guy around you couldn't beat his service or his outgoing personality. He was always there a soon as you put the request in. The new guy isn't timely and doesn't keep you up to date with what is going on in your unit. We had our AC unit go out and it took over 3 weeks to replace it. We would have to go ask the front desk for updates and they seemed annoyed that we wanted to know when things would be fixed.

The experience was okay, and that is generous. During finals week, I was interrupted several times by staff members (the general manager, assistant general member and general office staff) due to a party they threw in the MODEL unit of the complex after hours. The party lasted until after midnight. To make matters worse, the office staff were all intoxicated. It showed extreme lack of leadership and rejection of the own hours they set within their lease: quiet hours begin at 9pm. Caleb, the current General Manager, is knew to bend the rules of numerous occasions. I was informed that the property

My son moved into District Lofts in August and was greeted with the smiling faces of Caleb and Melanie. He has no issues in his unit and is loving living here and is already talking about renewing his lease after only one month. The office staff is amazing and is always willing to go above and beyond to make his home feel like home. Between the events they host, the manner they handle issues and everything else. The community is amazing, friendly and full of other people his age.The property is nice, clean and secure. I am happy he has found a place he loves so much.

I never write reviews, but I felt it was the right thing to do. I lived at The District Lofts for the past 3 and a half years. It was truly the most incredible place I have lived in Tuscaloosa since graduating. Jennifer (the previous manager) was the kindest woman and always so responsive. I truly felt safe at all times when she was the manager. Robb, who was the old maintenance, was extremely friendly, funny, and ON IT with repairs and anything one would need. When Miles started as manager, everything immediately changed. There was no friendliness anymore. It didn’t feel like home. One of their

Not near enough parking, place wasnt even cleaned, painted, or furnished before we moved in, hallways dont have AC so its always 100° in them, the trash has been piled up in the dumpster for 2 weeks and is taking up valuable parking spots, we were told we were getting one apartment layout and got a complete different one, always a huge random puddle in the gym, 2/3 doors to the building dont even lock. overall not good

Oh. my. GODNESS! The Office Staff at District Lofts are so helpful and friendly! I’ve been having issues getting things ready for my daughter to move in and i’ve probably called daily at this point. They always answer my questions with a delightful tone. I believe I spoke with a young lady named Bree and she was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be recommending this place to my girlfriends when their kids start going to bama. ROLL TIDE!!! -Karen

I lived at the Greensboro location for three years, and was treated so well! The staff was consistently intentional with me and actually cared about there residents!! My car even got totaled by a university car near the building and the on-site manager called me before TPD did to let me know. It might be a little pricey, but between Rob (guy who fixes all things) and the front office staff are so totally worth it. And the location was SO easy getting to school and for game day.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The parking is horrible, it is very expensive and not worth it. The management lacks the skills to run an office smoothly and effectively, they never return phone calls. I am a senior this year at the University and am happy that I found a better off campus apartment to live in. Look elsewhere.

Really nice apartments and location but be warned...lots of cons. First off, the leasing office emails every other day. It's always another thing. You can't live in peace. They are in your apartment every other week and it's a major breech of privacy. They say you don't need to be present but if they think ill let them in there without me that's crazy, and for the following reason. They have quarterly checks of your apartment which is annoying and makes me think they are trying to take my money for dumb reasons. The last time they were there, they checked my blinds, pulled
