Place makes you feel like home, servers are super nice and attentive, food is worth the price and plates are HUGE!!!!!

Best American-style breakfast in Cedar Hill, hands-down. Delicious food, exceptional service, neat atmosphere. Pretty crowded usually as expected.. A bigger space would be ideal, but we’ll take what we can get. Excellent establishment.. Thanks!!👍🏼

Food was good and fairly quick getting out. But we were there on a Friday morning not the weekend so it was quieter. I had the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was really really good. Partner had the original mess and it was quite tasty. As others have said the biscuits are pretty good

They recently changed owners and it just isn't the same. They changed the way you order and changed some of the menu items for the worst. Sometimes just leaving stuff how it is works better. Don't think I will be returning and this used to be my favorite place to eat. Sucks!

They recently changed owners and overall it seems to be for the worst. They changed the menu removing a lot of options, the changed the way you order making the waits longer, they changed the way you get drinks so you're not able to drink as much, they changed a lot of servers who have no little idea how to maintain the aesthetic and seem understaffed in how they implement the new chages. They also changed how you pay, in a dumb way, as it would cause people to linger in their seats for longer making the place crowded.

The biscuits are nice and fluffy yet soft and thick, bacon wasn’t overly crispy but not too chewy, my wife’s chicken and waffles was her favorite 🤩 a great way to start my morning and would definitely be coming back again soon!!! The niner is for anyone with an appetite and I got mine with an add on if biscuits and gravy!!! We were checked on by several members of the staff and felt very welcome ! Great music choice as well, heard some Hall and Oates, Rod Stewart and many other stars from before my time and enjoyed every second of it.

The brunch was good, it's a fast paced, self sitting restaurant. The line is long, but the line moves fast. I HIGHLY recommend you look at the menu before you get there or while in line to figure out what you want. The cashier was very nice and helped me save a dollar or two that was helpful and shows she knows the menu.
Do not be afraid to ask if an item is in season or not the cashier will let you know. As mentioned before people from what I saw eat and leave, but sitting is no issue. I do know about ordering extra food after sitting down, I don't think that is a thing you might have to get

BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER. We had a 45 minute wait for our food after ordering, but neither us, nor any of the other patrons in the full house seemed to mind. They were up front and accurate above the timing but it was well worth the wait. Never miss an opportunity for breakfast here!

Great staff, food is always fresh and perfect!! Never a bad time of day to stop in here. The Original Mess or the Fajita Omelette are my favorite!!

Good food. Reubin sandwich was extremely light on the meat. Never seen a Reubin so thin. Pricing was reasonable. Been trying their crepes special a few times. They are half price and pretty good, especially the fruit crepes. Service has always been quite attentive and friendly. It is a mainstay for locals. Outdoor eating is very pleasant. Have eaten there mire times than I can count. Good place to eat and converse.

Delicious and nicely priced. The location is kinda hidden but try not to miss this hidden gem. If you come on the weekends, you might meet a long line. It's there for a reason!
If you're like me and don't wanna wait, come back on a week day. There was still a line, but it wasn't as long and the food was prepared quickly. It's nothing fancy but it's good.
I suggest getting one of the "messes". Check their menu to see what I mean.

First time here it was a little crowded but it was cool. Line went quickly no wait for seating. Our service was good cashier and server had great attitudes. My waffle was good eggs needed a little seasoning. Try them out I'm going back soon. I ordered the waffle and migas

The BEST homestyle breakfast served in cedar hill with bomb customer service. They are all so attentive and quickly responsive. I love my server which I get each time i go (Delia) she is so sweet and careful. I went for the first time after my hike on a Sunday morning and had been 3x already by Wednesday. I went again today and the line was out the door, OF COURSE I WAITED! So If you live or want to venture out and try something new, not fancy nor expensive, AND GOOD AF CHECK THEM OUT! They will never disappoint you...with breakfast that is.

There was a 10 minute wait, however, this gave us plenty of time to browse the menu. Order at the counter, know what you want, you get a number, get your beverage, find a seat. Your food comes quick and everyone is helping. Also, this was Sunday for brunch. I highly recommend.

Yes to the big Ole mess, yes to the pancakes, yes to the coffee and yes to the patio. It's nice to have a great breakfast spot with a full patio without driving into the city.

Past the gem when i go yo walmart, finally had to stop by. Will say i will return, the food was great(the migas and wafffles was great.) the staff was friendly and always topped off your cup of joe.Definitely a hidden gem.

I don't know why people come here honestly, because the line takes forever and the service is very slow. Makes absolutely no sense. Yes the food is good but takes three times longer to eat here. They need to rethink how their line works and speed things up. I won't be back because we wasted enough time here waiting forever.

Update: as you can see the owner of the establishment has responded below. I think this response is unacceptable because there is a whole heck of a lot more that can be done to speed up the line. Saying that it's just acceptable to have a long line to wait to

This place has such a great homey feeling. Live supporting local business and this place didn't disappoint. There is a line to order and never went down, which one of the sweet workers said it is like that all day! So worth the wait, the pancakes are so delicious and they serve it with hot syrup!! Try it out if you are in the area!!!

Staff is always friendly, good home cooked meals.
The breakfast is amazing, pancakes and there coffee is always excellent. Hands down the best breakfast spot on this side of town.

Went on a morning hike with friends and decided to stop here for Sunday brunch. There is a shared parking in the plaza which has enough space. First come, first serve. The wait was about 30 minutes with a line out the door. Food was good, and great service with hot coffee refills. Would recommend to anyone looking for breakfast nearby the area.

Wow, the great reviews are spot on. This unique Cafe does breakfast right. Delicious hommade breakfasts with lots of choices. Covid precautions were in place and the restaurant is immaculate & tables sanitized between guests. The staff was so polite, happy and friendly. Now for the food- I got the eggs Benedict, they were perfectly made and the hollandaise was delicious, as were the hash browns. I had to order a single pancake to try them (add fruit for just .39 cents). So yummy! My hubby got the classic #2 breakfast and he loved it! The French toast was great he reported!

OVERALL:
This is such an amazing little spot we discovered during covid. My niece and I were craving some breakfast foods and found this little cafe that looked sooo adorable! It was a nice little spot that I would definitely visit again :) I paid $20 for 2 dishes between my niece and I and 2 orange juices which was worth it!

APPEARANCE:
Upon walking to the spot, there were people sitting outside enjoying breakfast on the patio and inside looked just as nice and comfy!

SERVICE:
The service there was also amazing! The ladies who work there were super sweet and nice and even gave us compliments

This was a very good place. You get in line to order before you sit and they bring the food to your table. I was worried about getting a table because the line was out the door and the tables were pretty full, but they do a really good job of managing the tables. They even do a good job of accommodating parties of 5 or more.

I think "The mess" is their specialty. Hash browns mixed with an assortment of stuff... they have several options, including vegetarian options :)

What was really cute was a their premade takeout selection. I had to really fight with myself not to get the bread
