I purchased a 3 layer carrot cake flavored wedding cake from Chicago Bakery for my wedding on 7/2/17, and it was so moist & delicious that all of my guests were raving about it, and I only wish I had bought more so I could have taken some home with me!.
I'm so happy I chose Chicago Bakery for my wedding cake! We did not get to try the desserts at each table but the cake was EXACTLY what we wanted: chocolate cake with custard filling, and the design came out beautifully just as we asked for. We did not do the cake tasting but really had to trust reviews, the value, and our vendors.

So I was in a hurry to get a tres leches for my girlfriends first birthday with us together, later in the day I read reviews and was very scared haha, no wonder why it was so cheap, lol turned out it was amazing, everyone loved it, beautiful, delicious and very affordable, I told her where I got it and that’s where she got mine for my birthday and her daughters as well so I had it a number of times without knowing, and it never failed. Placed my order only 2 days in advance during graduation time too, and no problem.

I stopped by to get a cake for my husband from the cakes they had available that day. I needed nothing fancy. My son picked out an Oreo cake they had on display. We cut into it that night after dinner and it was by far, the worst cake I have ever tasted in my life. It was salty, dry and the frosting was too sweet. The Oreos were stale. It appeared this cake was either made by an amateur or we got an old cake. In any case I will never buy anything from this bakery. That was a waste of $31.

Been doing my best to support local businesses at Wheaton Triangle, but the county has left almost no parking and now there are tow trucks circling like vultures despite poor and confusing signage. Almost got towed tonight running into Chicago Bakery for a slice of birthday cake. They extorted out of $25 to get them to go away. Looked like their parking and I was only there 5 minutes. Just not worth it. Guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere, if Chicago Bakery cared about its customers it would clearly mark that on its back door.

I'm from the Midwest so I had to stop by and get the atomic cake. It was authentic and delicious. All the layers were extremely fresh and I ordered same day. It took about 4 hours from order to pickup. I also love their tres leches cake. I just got a slice but it was so good I had to take all my friends back here for more... in the same day.

My place of work asked me to pick up a cake for our celebration of the June 14th U.S. Army Birthday. On Monday, I stopped at the Chicago Bakery to place an order and the staff were extraordinarily helpful. They worked with me to help choose the design, size and flavor. They also promised to have everything ready by the time I came to pick it up later in the week.

Don't go. I called in and was told my cake would cost $25. I double checked when I arrived and the woman said yes again $25, but I was charged $45 on my receipt!! I went back with the cake and got my money back. Also was told they could make a strawberry cheesecake in 30 minutes (likely it was NOT fresh and they just put strawberries on top of it)

The decoration on the cake was pretty, but I should have known something was wrong when they wrote the name in bright pink icing that didn't match the cake decoration

Terrible! They are liar on making a White Chocolate Moose cake like the Watergate Bakery. I had my mom complain out loud during our daddy's birthday for this cake. My mom said it was the Worst cake ever. I felt embarrassed and I'm ashamed that the Bakery lied on they can do it. Just don't lie when you can't do it and be upfront honest for more repeat customer business.

My daughter's birthday was may 12 and we wanted a special cake. After calling different places in the Gaithersburg Area. We decided to go with Chicago bakery. They were professional and friendly. The cake came out exactly like we wanted and it was delicious. We got the napolitano flavor on the cake. It was moist and very tasty. I'm so glad we pick them and if I ever need a cake again I won't hesitate to order from them again.

I've been here a couple of times and I've been very happy with my experience. The staff is nice and the bakery goods are great! I always leave with a full bag of pastries. The prices are really good! You could get yourself a 3 large pastries for the same price of 2 small ones at starbucks. It's also a mom n pop so check them out! You can't miss them. RED RED RED.

Absolutely disappointed!!! We ordered a yellow gender reveal cake with a pink cream inside and they made the outside blue instead! When we presented it to our guests everyone was "oh it's a boy!" Since we will have a girl, which the inside revealed there was some kind of surprise to our guests! However, some of the cream inside was brown and not pink!! Why in the world would anyone make a reveal cake with blue frosting on the outside? That makes no sense! This cake was suppose to be the highlight of the party and it turned out to be a complete joke! Thanks Chicago bakery! Last time

Chicago Bakery provided our wedding cake this past weekend, it was exceptional. I stumbled upon this bakery when I was looking for an engagement cake for a friend. We did a white cake with strawberry filling and cream frosting. It was moist, sweet, and breast ably priced. We received so many compliments on the appearance as well as the taste. We had some slight confusion about pillars- I didn't love them but I loved the cake. I was so excited to find pastelitos at Mayorga Coffee and was told they were from here, so put it on my list of places to check out. The shop is very close to University Blvd and Georgia Ave, so parking is a bit of an issue, but if you can get to it, the pastries are very fresh and varied. We tried the tres leches cake, which was super yummy and the cake tasted like it had been made that morning. Nom nom on the delish guava pastellitos too, though I wish they had guava and cheese on offer.

I was excited to see a bakery named 'Chicago Bakery.' I was surprised to see some pans, random fruit pies, wedding cakes, fancy little individual cakes, etc. I had their Cheese Danish, which was delicious and a tad bit sweeter (full of cream cheese deliciousness) and a one-of-a-kind little chocolate monster on a chocolate cupcake type of thing (filled with chocolate mouse) - the cake itself was dry, but I did like the hard chocolate and the mousse. The service was great and with a smile.

We've been going to this cozy Latino bakery for almost 5 years now, and they have the best boudin or bread pudding in the area! Great customer service and delicious and always fresh pastries and cakes. Mmm, their cheese cakes or quesadillas sprinkled with sesame seeds are really good too, not too salty, not too sweet.
