Our antibiotic- and hormone-free meats, fish and poultry are cut to order right at the counter by our butchers. We roast all of our fresh meats in our kitchen without excess salt, sugar, fats, fillers or flavorings. Take home a pound of turkey breast or roast beef, a pint of chicken salad or a few slices of all-beef meatloaf and find out how good fresh, honest food can be!

In 1979 a young, very determined man with a dream of his own founded Phil's Uptown Meat Market. Phil Mosley was a third generation butcher, not only knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but also able to put people at ease tackling new and exciting culinary projects. He even looked like a classic butcher, having Popeye forearms and a girth that let customers know that he also consumed what he sold.
Highest quality beef, pork, chicken and veggie skewers, as well as specialty lamb, Wagyu beef, fish and seafood skewers. We marinate our meats and vegetables a full eight hours, so they're just as flavorful and delicious if you choose to grill or broil your skewers at home.

If you have special dietary concerns (sodium, wheat, white sugar, soy, etc), you're looking to feed a crowd, or you just want to make sure there's a spicy pork or teriyaki salmon skewer ready for your lunch, give us a call and we'll make it happen.
Imagine a succulent prime rib, savory rack of lamb, fresh Chinook salmon fillet, or mouth-watering hamburger, and not having anything but pedestrian wine to enhance the experience. For thirty plus years Phil collected wines he liked, particularly California Cabernets like Silver Oak, Sauternes, Bordeaux, Ports, and Burgundies.

Yer goinna need to fix those prices PEOPLE!! You're out of LINE!! People are struggling and even if they're not, that stuff can't be THAT fresh If it isn't selling and the avery Jane/Joe won't pay those prices!! Understand??

I'm sure quality of meat is good, probably. But the prices are over priced especially if you get the bento. $11 plus tip for a tiny skewer of meat on a small bed of rice. Ehh.

First time ordering. Ordered through Grubhub, was working in the area and I have to say I’m a customer for life now. Burger was amazing, fries were amazing. Amazing food. Highly recommend for fresh tasting food. One of the best burgers and fries I’ve ever had.

What a great local meat market. Everything you would expect from a local butcher; knowledgeable and kind and a great assortment. We ordered a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving and it was incredible!!

I’ve been going to Phil’s for over 30 years and always loved their quality and consistency. The bento is sad now. I paid $15 for over cooked, dry, and small portions. Im sad to say I won’t be coming back. It’s too bad when new owners screw with the success sauce. Dead memory.

I have loved Phil’s for years! Today I ordered a sandwich and Yerba mate for lunch delivery thru Grubhub. When I received my order they had included a sparkling water and a cookie with a hand written note apologizing for being out of the Yerba Mate I ordered. They STILL refunded my money for the beverage I ordered but made sure I was taken care of. Great customer service and delicious! Thank you for taking care of your customers. ❤️

My son walked from PSU the get food here. He ordered and was charged for a DOUBLE Beef Bento and received a single. It was tough and the rice was undercooked! We also ordered the Hawaiian Pasta salad it had NO dressing it was essentially macaroni bone dry! We called immediately upon discovering and the phone number keeps going to voicemail. 2pm and no one can answer the phone?? Here’s the dryed out tough “Double” bento

For real tho, the Burgers were sooo good. Had the special (fajita burger) and had a few bites of the Leon's BBQ. Ahhmazing. Both of them.

Not only does this place serve great meat from the butcher, they also have a killer bento and sandwich/burger station. We opted for the Philwich and Chicken Club this time and both were very filling and tasty. It goes very well with the sidewinder fries.
