Urban Pantry

I live directly above Urban pantry. Their delivery trucks from a service know as "Quality QSF" arrive somewhere between 1130p and 3a and make the loudest most disruptive banging noise in existence. Why deliveries have to be made at insane hours is beyond me. Correct me if the deliveries are actually being made to the Starbucks. Regardless, it's ridiculous.

The first time I went I got a Caesar salad ($9) and it was delicious! Super fresh and crisp lettuce, the super garlicky (good in my opinion) dressing was already tossed on the salad which made it conviennent for me.

The second time I went I got the same thing, since it was so yummy, and the dressing was on the side. It was fine, but was kinda difficult and messy to mix it in the to-box as the dressing is so thick. The lettuce itself seemed way different than last time, giant pieces instead of more chopped up. Not a huge deal though!

The third time I went I was excited to get the salad and specifically

Ordered whole grain turkey club and chicken noodle soup. Ugh so tasty. You should definitely order here.

We have been very happy customers here since it first opened, under the previous owner. We've tried pretty much everything on the menu. But our favorites are the kale salad, the chicken enchiladas and the quinoa bowl. I want to mention, however, the Easter ham dinner we had this past weekend. it was sublime! Every bit as good as the best homemade meal. You've got to try Urban Pantry. Their food is just fabulous.

Ordered here for the first time. Highly recommended for a nice meal. The soup was homemade and the sandwich was fresh and neatly packaged, turkey cranberry! Perfect with a can of coke! (:

I love this place!!! My favorite is the Cubano sandwich. They also have a variety of local alcohol and non alcohol bottled and canned drinks. I have always had great service and nothing but yummy food from here. Check them out!

I originally found Urban Pantry through a Yelp Elite event in December. It was so tasty and right around the corner from where I live. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu and the bonus is always the great selection of local goods. You can find some unique wines, hot sauces, pastas, drink mixes, snacks, and more. It certainly helps having such a friendly and courteous staff. Everyone at UP makes you feel at home from the moment you pop in and I'm excited to see them again soon.

Sister and I stopped here while in town and got freshly prepared greek salad with chicken and meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.

Perfect seasoning in every item. Chicken was moist - a rareity in salads. Perfect garlic in the mashies!

And being from out of town we got a locally made Shrub - cara cara vanilla. Perfect!

First meals from Urban Pantry today did NOT disappoint! My boys had the meatloaf, great beans, and garlic mashed potatoes. Great flavor, so fresh, and they devoured it. I had the veggie curry and rice and loved it. What a great find and I will definitely be back soon!!

3.5 stars for this place. While I think the convenience of the heat and go meals is great, the food itself was between meh and good; it didn't really make me want to eat it again or try something different. I wasn't impressed with the service inside, albeit brief, it wasn't friendly - at all. Don't know that I'd think twice about venturing downtown for food again here. Again it wasn't bad by any means, it tasted decent, I just wasn't really impressed by really any aspect of it.

I was really excited to try this place out. I've been cooking a lot but I wanted to get a meal that was easy and where I didn't have to cook for the day. I ordered ahead of time but when I got there I noticed how you can also pick out the meals and their cafe if you just walk in which is nice. Picking up the meal was easy I was in and out within 5 minutes.
The bourbon chicken was a very generous serving and was very good. Each of their dinners serves about two people generously. It's a really good deal for two people their meals are are between 11 and $15. It was super easy and

Club sandwich absolutely disgusting. Restaurant states bacon is not crispy, nor hot. Ok that's cool.
However, grey cooked bacon is a clear sign it has spoiled either from age or improper storage.

I've had a few of the take home meals including the pesto penne, as well as the bourbon chicken and both were delicious. its such a cool concept, the food is prepared and precooked so you take it home and heat it in the oven for 15 minutes and its ready. It's cheap, there's enough food for two, and it's just like getting food from a restaurant. So much easier than shopping for ingredients and making it at home when I don't have the time. Can't wait to try some of their other options!

My boyfriend and I have ordered the Heat at Home meals several times and they're always really good. Tonight we tried the Cajun Mac and Cheese and it's the best Mac and cheese I've ever had! It's empty with tons of cheese and the seasoning is delicious. If you're looking for something similar to what you'd get at a restaurant but want it at home, you just take the food, pop it in the oven and it's ready in around 15 minutes.

Don't get the field roast sandwich. It has one TINY slice of protein on it, and it is their most expensive sandwich. I asked for additional slices and was given sass by the employee saying "the field roast is really expensive and I'll have to charge you an additional fee." Never coming back here. 1/5 stars. Do not recommend.

I work right around the corner from here, so decided to give it a try for a quick lunch. Such a cute place, with lots of great options. I got the Italian trio sandwich specifically because it listed all things I enjoy plus oil and vinegar. When I got back to the office there was mayo on all 4 pieces of bread, which was so disappointing as I can't have mayo, and the menu doesn't list it anywhere (I incorrectly assumed oil and vinegar was in lieu of other condiments since none were listed other than oil/vinegar). My service was turned away because a bank run was needed...? It was a very uncomfortable encounter and a horrible first impression.

Don't feel like going out but don't feel like cooking? Urban Pantry is a great in between option. Food comes pre-portioned in 2-4 serving size, and can be reheated in the original packaging for a home cooked feel. Food doesn't awe me, but it's better than grabbing junk food or scrounging from the fridge. Some dishes that are good: enchiladas, shepherds pie and meatloaf (although it would be better with a side of their delicious baked Mac and cheese, rather than the garlicky mashed potatoes it comes with.) Prices are reasonable, between $10 and $15 per entry. Great option for

Urban Pantry fantastic little spot!!! I'm hooked on their Cuban sandwich; not traditional but the twist, VERY good, so much flavor. Every bite holds its taste, yum yum!! Their salads are just as great, fresh produce; I didn't care for their house dressing but the others are great! I would label this spot as one of the many gems of the Pearl district!

I really wanted to like this spot as it's in my neighborhood and the concept is genius- take and bake fresh home cooking. We tried the enchilada verde based on the recommendation that it's the most popular. It was edible- but it didn't wow.

Staff is nice and prices are great but they short you on vegetables big time. I come here frequently so it doesn't stop me from coming in but still, some more veggies would make this place great.

Amazing service and quick hot sandwichs for a nice cheap price. They're a small and friendly. Plus the small cookie itself is worth to check in. If you're looking for something quick and hot you should check it out

I stopped here on my lunch break since I was craving a Greek salad in the area. I ordered the small without chicken to try it out, and when I logged into Yelp there was a deal for a free chocolate chip cookie (sweet!). The salad was really good and it made me want to order it again. Service was fast and friendly, so I'll come back here again.

If you're like me, coming up with something interesting for dinner can be a challenge. Eating out frequently gets old after awhile but I'm not the best cook in the world so what's a guy to do? You drop by Urban Pantry on your way home and your problem is solved!

They literally have everything you need for a wonderful home cooked meal that you don't have to cook yourself. Need a great bottle of wine, they've got you covered. How about something sweet for dessert? No problem. Check in on Yelp and you even get a free cookie!

THAT'S A FANTASTIC ORGANIC LASAGNE!

We tried a family size serving of Lasagne, hand made pasta stuffed with generous and delicious layers of cheese and sauce with a fennel spice! No skimping on ingredients (Organic)--best Lasagne we've tried in the Pearl district (and we eat everywhere). This meal was pre-made ahead of time. We picked it up in a large tin tray ready to go into the oven and heat 40 minutes at 400 degrees. We added a kale & ginger based salad, also tasty! The meal came with bread and butter. What a great value too! And all ORGANIC! We'll go back to try
