Taberna NW, The Delicatessen, prepares amazing sandwiches, soups, salads, and a unique blend of eclectic food for our customers. Taberna NW is literally a labor of love, born from a lifetime of food and service.
Based on owner Ryon Morrison's travels around the world and his desire for a deli that offers both a diverse sampling of food as well as multicultural flavors, he settled on the name Taberna. Housed in Washougal's historic Blair Building, the location reminded Ryon of (a miniature) Trajan's Market in Rome.

Thanks to the hard work of the Taberna staff and the help of our community, Taberna NW has now reopened. See, since the age of 14 I've worked in various jobs within the service industry. From washing dishes to scooping ice cream, slinging subs to catering, I learned the value of customer service and the joy food brings to our daily lives.

This place brought me true joy in the way of the Figgy Piggy. The sandwich was balanced perfectly with the sweet and savory elements and the bacon. The service was great and I’m excited to go back for more. If you are looking for a gourmet but down to earth sandwich shop. Look no further Washougal has it!

Stopped in with co-workers for a late lunch. This place is within walking distance from our office which is really cool.
We all ordered sandwiches and found that they were mediocre at best. I've never been to a deli where the owner sets the sandwich menu based on their own taste and doesn't offer customers the ability to build their own.
I'm sure the gentleman has a good palate, but not everyone likes the food he likes. Our office was so glad to hear a deli was coming, but the execution isn't great. Maybe it's gotten better and we can try again, but our staff has said that they don't want to

Simply amazing and exactly what Washougal needed! The soups are incredible and I had the most wonderful Rubin! I’ve taken home pastrami, salami and rare meats for my husband and he was blown away! Also a great wine selection! Ryan the owner is so kind and helpful as well. We are all around impressed and it’s our new favorite place to go!

I came here looking for a good lunch, and had heard about it when a neighbor posted about their school lunch program. The Figgy Piggy was delicious! The high quality ingredients were evident and it had that perfect amount of sweet to go with the pork. The staff was also very friendly - I will be making this a regular lunch spot.

Contacted Taberna to prepare a meal for my hungry family. Ryon, the owner, was immediately responsive despite the current COVID situation. They created a delicious chickpea salad (vegan) sandwich on honey wheat that did not disappoint. Along with that we ordered 7 Cali-Club wraps with sun dried tomato wrap. My adult children took bites of the Cali-Clubs and said, “wait, these are incredible! Where did you get these?!” Yeah, they were pretty impressed. These sandwiches are amazing. I stopped before going for a hike and I was definitely surprised. They provide the right combination of savory and sweet. I got the figgy and it was amazing. My boyfriend got the cheeky, I had a bite of his and it was the perfect combination of savory sweet and spicy. Definitely I'm planning on going out of my way to have these sandwiches again

Stopped in for the first time today and WOW! I ordered the roast beef special with some tomato bisque and will CERTAINLY be back again...probably more than I should be eating out! The atmosphere was comforting and surprisingly brought back memories from my local NY Deli while growing up. Customer service was phenomenal when considering the time it took to make my sandwich and the small talk while waiting. Perfect addition for the community!
