Great place to live. As a young professional recently moving to Oakland, 1200 Lakeshore made for a beautiful transition. If you're looking an old style open space apartment and value a fantastic view, this is I think the best choice in the area. I was hesitant at first because of previous reviews reflected a poor management team. However I was greeted by positive and effective staff, it seems that they hired some new people. Jared the new property manager has been proactive in solving all my problems, and highly accommodating. The security and maintenance teams have also been eager to help in making

I have been eyeing this building for years. Once my family and I relocated. This was one of our choices.
I came to visit the rental office for a possible tour of the property and inquire about vacancies.
The front desk security, Jeffery showed such an extreme display of smug rudeness. I could barely get a word in to explain my presence. I was flabbergasted by his disgusting tone toward me. No one deserves to be treated that way.
Thanks to Jeffery my family and I will not be moving to this location. We nor our guest should ever have to endure that amount of rudeness and scrutiny. It’s a shame

Without a doubt the most unprofessional building managers I have ever met. Jennifer the manager is rude, arrogant, and literally one of the most condescending individuals I have come across. Upon my move out date I will provide additional documentation of interactions and a formal review but from someone that has lived here for 2 years...... The area of the lake is beautiful and the apartments are spacious. But the lack of amenities and the absolutely dismal management gives it 1 star.

I love living in this mid century modern building with its awesome staff and friendly residents. You get great light in the apartments, lots of closets, heat in the floor, generously sized rooms, and a big balcony. Lake Merritt is right there for walking the dog. Farmers market Saturday morning a twenty minute walk away. Arizmendi co-op for baked goods and soup. The library a ten minute walk and on Friday nights the Oakland museum has on a side street 20 food trucks and a dance party going on.

Amazing place to live. Great location, less than 10 min walk to BART. 10 min walk to downtown Oakland . 0 minutes to Lake Merritt 🏃🏻. These apartments have all the amenities you can think of an more. Not to mention friendly staff, service request are taken care of immediately. 24hr security. Amazing views of Lake Merritt, Oakland , SF, The Hills . I mean look at the pics down below :)
