The Tracery is likely one of the larger let-downs in Lexington’s “higher-end” apartments. The management is unnecessarily pretentious, and the apartment lacks many of the amenities that much of its competitors enjoy such as a dog park.
I personally ran into several issues with our electric being stuck on emergency throughout the winter, and despite providing evidence of my electric consumption, neighbors’ consumptions on the same floor plan, and a slew of data from the electric company, thermostat and A/C unit manufacturers, and expert opinions from the HVAC field, I was continuously told

The apartments and amenities were decent. We loved Jessica and Gigi, but it seems like the turnover is high with the management team. We lived there a year and there were 3 different property managers. Not to mention a whole team overhaul. It's also really interesting because they just leave and you have no idea they are gone until someone new shows up to the office.
Also- if you have a pet there is an initial $200 pet fee and an additional monthly fee charged with your rent. The most frustrating thing is that NONE of these fees go toward pet damage. They are simply a way for them to charge you

Maggi Cannon, the former manager here, is extremely rude and unprofessional. After coming in from overseas to lease an apartment (during a tight, one-week window) in my hometown of Lexington prior to relocating back stateside, I decided to lease an apartment with The Tracery. Maggi handled all the correspondence and paperwork. I paid my deposit and first month's rent (even though I wouldn't be able to return to America for another month--I was essentially paying a month's rent to hold the apartment) and after returning to Asia (and ONLY after I had left Lexington and paid the deposit + one month

I lived here for two years, and I absolutely loved it. These are really nice apartments, unlike others in Lexington that seem nice until you realize they’re old with a new coat of paint. I never had a bad experience with Gigi and Gina (management), and maintenance has always been timely. I am only moving to be closer to work, and I actually chose their sister property.

If I could give The Tracery Apartments more than 5 stars, I certainly would. My wife and I absolutely love living here. While I can't speak to the former management teams, I can testify that Jessica and Gigi are a terrific management team that has consistently gone above and beyond expectations to make sure that we had a smooth move-in process, and have followed-up with us numerous times to assure that we are comfortable and that all administrative needs have been met. Without a doubt, this is the best managed apartment complex my wife or I have ever lived in, and it is due in no small part to

The apartments were nice, however, the staff nickel and dimes you for all you are worth. The trash compactor would get overflowing to where we had to leave our trash outside the compactor, so management made a sign that said “if you are caught leaving your trash outside the compactor, you will be charged a $25 fee.” Where are we supposed to leave it? In our apartment? Maggie was not very friendly either. We tried to get a second key and were told it was $50 extra - non refundable. I don’t understand why an extra key is non refundable when we turned it back in at the end of the lease? So we

I have lived here for approximately 14 months and I recommend The Tracery without reservation. The Management Stall are exceptional! Maggie is always professional and personable! She is certainly an asset and I have heard nothing but favorable comments from other residents! The Maintenance Staff are superb; always professional and quick to respond to needs. The grounds are maintained pristinely and the apartments are beautiful. This is definitely the best choice I could have made in transitioning from a house to an apartment!
