I have lived at Skyline Apartments for almost three years and I have been super impressed with their services! They are always very friendly and willing to help out no matter the circumstance. I also want to highlight Colby so that his dedication doesn't go unnoticed. He has always been there no matter the situation and always found a solution.

Skyline is a beautiful complex in a ideal location for an active lifestyle. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Colby in particular, is very responsive and made the entire leasing process seamless. They provide a ton of useful information about the area during move in which is great for someone moving to Austin from out of state. Additionally, I’m very pleased with how quite and calm the complex is.

Do not be fooled by the photos or location. These buildings were built in 1973. And location cannot save you from the misery you will surely endure from living in these buildings. There was visible mold coming through my walls and air vents. The smell of wet mildew and mold on everything I owned. Their solution was to paint over it. I had rashes on my eyelids, face and skin when I was home or after sleeping. Tons of dust on everything. Roaches, spiders and gnats despite pest service. I'll give 5 stars to the leasing Associate Colby Huggins. Very professional, informative, and nice.
Maintenance request resolutions are prompt.
Neighbors are friendly, pool and gym areas are well kept.
My apartment could use tad more sunlight/light fixtures, but overall very spacious, great layout, new appliances, bathroom amenities.

For not living in an apt for over a decade this complex has been nothing but warm & welcoming! I had my doubts as these are older apts but its the BEST price for the location. If you are a true outdoorsy person, this is your spot. It's so close to the greenbelt where you can swim with a Thoms Market at the end of the street to grab some drinks, pet stuff, or even small produce items. Overall go outside more, get some fresh air and get a floor lamp for some sunny glow in the place.

We've dealt with everything from raccoons in the walls for over a month to no running water for 17 days (Winter Storm Uri) to the A/C going out (on that note, they will tell you they change air filters regularly but they do not unless requested).
I have lived at the complex for almost five years due to lack of other housing options. While it's conveniently located to resources and fun, it's overpriced for what you get with the unit, shared grounds, and management.
We weren't able to use one shower/tub because the paint was chipping off in a destructive way. They resurfaced

Major maintenance issues & delays. Maintenance team is very nice but property management does not invest in keeping up the property nor support their residents well when issues arise. My balcony safety issues/ decay (and others) had been reported numerous times and after a year it was still not fixed.

I have lived at Skyline for over 2 years now. Serene and her team have been the most helpful management team I have personally dealt with. As a property manager, Serene shows that the experience that each resident has is important to her. She is willing to go above and beyond to insure that residents needs are met and that any problems get solved. In the almost 2.5 years I have leased at this complex I have always been able to count on Serene, Kelsey, and the whole team for anything I need. I ended up leasing a 2 bed/2 bath here and the bedrooms are bit small and the apartment layout is a little strange. It is nice that the rooms are equally sized and the location is great! The staff is also very welcoming. I had a great experience working with Colby to get set up in my new apartment. He was able to write down my maintenance concerns and is always available to answer questions. He made the application process and move in very easy.

Moving across the country was not easy but the team at Skyline made it a seamless process. They were quick to answer all questions and send me videos/pics of the apartment the same day I asked! I dealt with Kelsey in the leasing office and she was awesome and made my moving process that much easier! Been here a month and they are quick to do maintenance on all work orders. Everyone in the complex is extremely friendly and I've made some good friends here :)

Kelsey at the front desk went above and beyond for my whole moving experience and even after move in when I had an issue. Any company would be lucky to have such great representation being done for them. I hope it does not go unnoticed!! My only complaint for the apartment is I think the general maintenance could be better.

I lived here pre pandemic, few issues, biggest one being there was a hanging pipe in the garage that damaged my truck. After 6 months of back and forth emails and about 8 different employees helping me because they can’t keep people working for them I don’t blame people for quitting. The issue never got resolved and they just basically told me oh well.

I don't know why management keeps on condoning Kelsey's behavior. I've seen other reviews on here and this seems to be an ongoing problem with her having an intolerable attitude. Having said that, we've been in an unlivable situation for half the month now with no end in sight. Still no water let alone hot water and with no end in sight to the saga. I called 311 and they said they will be pulling a code on this outfit. I would hope others who live here to do the same in an effort to expedite the process. I've also been calling the Austin Tenant Council (512-474-1961

This place is an absolute mess and I am warning every person who is considering moving here: DON'T.
We have been without water now for 14 days!!! A full two weeks. The first 5 days were because of the city - the rest us been the doing of the management here. They have only hired enough plumbers to work on ONE building at a time! At first it was because "there aren't enough plumbers available" but now that literally the entire city has water back, there are definitely plenty more plumbers to hire. They should have plumbers at every single building until all buildings have water

This apartment is drastically overpriced and the office staff are severely unhelpful. My boyfriend and I were here for over a year and had to move out due to the amount of noise from a neighbor. After multiple complaints and calling security multiple times, and being awake from 2-5 AM every night, the apartment did NOTHING to help the situation. The overall quality of life at this complex is lower than any I have ever seen. This apartment is awful. The only saving grace is the location. I would not live here if you paid me. Do yourself a favor and move on to the place across the street.

My roommate and I moved in here in January, and just transferred to another unit in the complex. Kelsey has been an amazing point of contact throughout our stay and made the transfer process smooth and effortless.
The few maintenance requests we've put in through the year have been quickly and effectively addressed and the maintenance team itself are all very friendly, even have played with my big dog to put him at ease.
The complex is incredibly dog friendly, very clean, and the location can't be beat. Not to mention the beautiful pools to beat the Texan summer heat. Definitely see

Two thumbs up for Emily. I'm moving from SF to Austin (I know, there's more of us), and I've never done an interstate move. She's been super helpful and communicative. And always SO happy to help and answer my questions. I call a lot and she doesn't seem to have gotten tired of me yet.

My girlfriend and I are current residents of Skyline as of December 2018. This is our first place in Austin, after moving from NYC. We can't say enough great things about this place and the people who work to keep it that way. We recently had an A/C that quit working on a Saturday. I called the emergency line for the first time that Sunday morning and Michael from maintenance was at our place with a portable A/C within the hour!
Fast forward to that upcoming Wednesday and Steven the property manager had a brand new A/C and HVAC installed at our place. For those not familiar with major repairs

This community treats you as though you are family. Blessed is an under statement. My apartment complex Skyline at Barton Creek brought me flowers and wine after learning of my fathers passing. This community goes over and beyond every single day. Thank you! This is one of the best communities I have lived in and I use to move every single year. Let me start by saying that I've lived in over 10 apartment complexes during my 20+ years of living in Austin and I'd like to say that my stay here was nothing short of phenomenal!
The front office staff is amazing, kind and accommodating. Specifically Kelsey, Serene and Ashley along with all the maintenance staff. Maintenance came within 24hrs for any work orders even the low priority ones! I stayed in a 1bed/1bath/1study upgraded apartment and the unit was great. Very spacious though the kitchen could have a little more cabinet and counter space. Though I like to cook a lot so I guess

Upon inspection, I had a few small things that needed fixing (some ants on the balcony, the freezer shelf was a little rusty, and my bathroom door had no lock, so I requested one with a lock) and everything was fixed right away. I love living here so far!

It's an all breed, any size dog complex...so you bet you're dealing with DOGS whether you have one or not(and all of their noises running across the floor above you, barking and separation anxiety all day). I think that's my main complaint about the place is that they don't have good noise control- parties and dogs. It could be a really quiet and enjoyable place given its location. So unless you have a big pitbull...this may be a place you don't need to put up with!
