I had some trouble with my radiator and my car started smoking on the freeway. I drove it to the nearest mechanic and they quoted me to replace it. I shopped around and found Dere and talked with Sam, who quoted significantly cheaper! He was responsive, informative, and got my car done ASAP. When he was finished, he told me that they didn't need to fix all the parts the other mechanic had recommended, so it was in fact CHEAPER than his original quote. Great customer service from Sam and William. They have experience with Subaru and the price was less than dealer by $300 . Get a quote before you take your car to dealer. Easy access on rainier ave and freeway is right at intersection. We came from auburn so it made it easy from I90 to 405.

Any other young females who dread going to a mechanic? Me too, but I had a great experience with this crew. Staff was friendly and great at communication- keeping in touch via phone and email while my car was in the shop. They informed me of every cost so I had no surprise bill. Will be going back.

Two weeks ago, we dropped my car off after it kept dying while I was driving, but starting up again after a few minutes of rest. I dropped it off at Dere and called the next day to check on it. Dusty, the assistant, answered and told me while he wasn't totally sure, it was looking like my entire engine needed to be replaced and they weren't able to do that, but standby by for an update. So now I'm stressed, panicked, calling around to other shops, trying to work the logistics of getting my car towed from Dere to a new shop, when they call to say that it's not the engine at all

This is the only place I take all my cars for maintenance. Best price, turnaround and customer service. The price is by far more affordable and the repair is honest and reliable. I just replaced my transmission and the quote they gave me was far lower than other places. They go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with their work. William , the owner and manager, communicates the work being done and the timeline for the job. Now all my cars at home including my kids cars are maintained here. They have all the equipment that is needed to get the job done without having to pay overpriced

Called in to get a quote on a set of spark plug wires, the phone operator had no idea what those were and wasn't sure how to help me, as I didn't not come in or have a general experience inside the shop I don't want to discourage people from going. However it seems startling that an auto repair shop can't help me with an auto repair related issue.

I live nearby so I really wanted this place to work out, but unfortunately after today, I will never do business there. I stopped by to ask for quote on a brake service. I waited as the person at the front desk helped another customer on the phone in the same rude tone he later gave me. He claimed I had to know exactly what was wrong with my car in order to receive any service- doesn't that defeat the purpose of taking my car to a shop?? One star for horrible customer service. Not worth the headache.

Took my truck in for an oil change and asked them to do a visual check on my brakes. When I went to pick up my truck they had an extra charge of $40.00. I asked them what that was for and they told me it was for checking the brakes.....really!!!!
They told me my truck was harder than most! It a Chevrolet Silverado.Most shops do this for free!
Not a fan of a shop that's has hidden cost for things they shouldn't. Not impressed with these tactics. They should tell customers how expensive they are to do visual inspection! I won't go back!!!

We love Dere Auto. The rear brakes at one of our cars had gone out. I went and bought the pads to do the replacement only to find out that I couldn't remove the lug nuts. Not even with a breaker bar.
The last tire place totally over torqued them and was no longer to be found. Another tire shop could not remove them. "They will break".
Dere Auto toldd me it is possible that all might break and have to be drilled out. The cost would be 700+.
In the end they broke one and got the other 9 out. They had the car overnight.

I found out about Dere Auto several years ago after getting an exorbitant quote to replace brakes from another shop in Seward Park. Dere's quoted me just 1/4 of the amount for the same repairs, and I have been going to them ever since because they have integrity and quality workmanship. Plus they are always professional and courteous and speak in terms about their services and products that I can understand. Today's service was another great reliable experience!

Very honest business. They do only the work that is actually needed. They don't overcharge, and in fact many times they have not charged me at all when I've come in with some minor, quick-to-fix car problems.

Easy to get an appointment with them. The new front desk guy, Francis, is very welcoming and friendly - adding to the good experience.

I brought my car to dere auto and had a half an hour conversation with one of their mechanics about my vehicle. I decided to just get An oil change and the mechanic Frankie told me it would be about an hour..... Which is a long oil change to begin with. But I said "okay no problem I'll see you in an hour". I showed up and hour and 10 mins later and asked a different guy at the front desk if I could pay for my oil change. He then told me that no one even touched my car yet and that the mechanic Frankie had totally forgot to tell anyone about my car or fill out a work order.

Squeezed me in last minute for an oil change. Great first impression. Fast, professional and reasonably priced. Francis did a great job.

Dere Auto was able to correctly diagnose what the loud noise was. Two other establishments, including the dealer, gave me incorrect information. Had I chosen to go with either of those places, the problem would not have been solved.
Dere Auto is a pleasure to deal with. All of the people I talked with were very professional. They would call me and give me a progress report. A seamless experience, they know what they are doing, and they saved me money and time. This is your go to place if you need repairs.

I took 2 cars to get serviced here before, and each time they were very professional and honest about the work done and price. They will always call you and explain to you the defects and projected charges of each major line item before doing work on your vehicle. If they notice any other anomalies, they will bring this to your attention and give you and honest opinion. You as the customer make the ultimate decision on how to proceed.

Tried to scam me telling me I needed to spend $800+ for new brakes, when mine were just fine!

I took my minivan in for an oil change there last month. I was hoping to support a local business. The oil change was pricier than at a chain, but that was okay with me.

They called me after the oil change to let me know they had noticed some squeaking in my brakes, and had inspected them. They said I needed new front and rear brakes ASAP! That they were so low I might already need new rotors, and they really recommended I get them done that day as I would definitely ruin my rotors within another month

I went against my better judgement here, but I was in a position that I suspect this establishment knows how to take advantage of. I hope you can learn from my mistake.

I recently moved to Seattle and needed to get my CA car registered. Oops, it failed the emissions test: now I have to take it to state approved emissions testing garage where the problem is fixed, or I spend at least 150 dollars trying to fix it, in which case I can receive a waiver for a one-time registration.

Not only did the guys at Dere fix my CRV for an affordable price, but they explained everything to me in terms I could really understand. (Yes, I'm a girl and know nothing about my car's engine!) :) Seriously though, they spent time talking to me and answering all my questions with a smile. This is an honest shop. After some simple maintenance repairs, my car is running great. I will definitely be going back for all my auto needs and I will be sharing their business card too.
