The staff here at Pearl Studios is amazing. Two individuals, Dru & Emmie shine bright in the front office. They are very helpful and do whatever they can to make sure they address and fix my issue or point me in the right direction. They just joined the team about a month ago and I haven't seen them stop moving yet. With them being so busy I did not think they would be able to assist as well as they have been. Great job guys keep up the good work, & thanks for all that you do

Lived there for one year. Overall had a very good experience. The management crew are really good at communicating and answering any questions you have. Any concerns about the common were addressed quickly. Usually within 24 hours, and maintenance is very quick with handling emergencies. Very safe neighborhood. I enjoyed my stay.

Horrible laundry machines!! Every single time I want to do laundry there’s always a problem with the machines. I’m sick of it I thought they would do something about it by now but nope. I would not recommend moving here it’s very overpriced considering the issues this apartment has. I pay for parking everyday they told me that there is a parking lot where I could pay monthly but they never told me there is a huge waiting list. It’s not worth living here and I’ll definitely won’t be resigning my lease

I needed a place to move into rather quickly and pearl studios really helped out by getting me into an apartment in a fairly fast manner. The people here are really friendly I am an older person and the young people are all very nice and helpful you're also near a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance to a dog park all in all it's a pretty good place to live.

So far I’m really pleased with this living situation for me and my dog. I had a very pleasant experience applying for my apartment and signing my lease with Carlos and Natalie. I haven’t got a chance to interact much with Lindsey other than through email but all communications have been pleasant and it sounds like they are in the process of cleaning up after previous management. I have also had really friendly interactions with the maintenance guy (who’s name I haven’t got yet) going above and beyond to communicate with me when the office staff was dealing with something outside the office

This review is specially for Anthony Butler, who is the maintenance supervisor for the property. Anthony has been on through many management changes (and the last one for the better- shout out to Lindsey and Carlos!). He is consistently kind, prompt and his work is 100% solid. If follow up is needed, he's always available. And to top it off, he's always sweet to my little dog. Recently I had to have my dishwasher replaced, and he stayed with me while I tested it, discovered an issue with the water flow through the hose, and fixed it before leaving. I moved from Denver and have been here about two weeks now! Coming from out of state and not being able to see the property or the city, the leasing staff, Carlos and Lindsey were extremely helpful in helping me to understand the neighborhood and the layout of the apartments! Carlos was extremely accommodating and helpful in helping me to find my perfect new Portland home! He even gave me great tips about the city and neighborhood including where to eat, shop, and even how to pronounce some of the streets and areas and fun stuff that makes Portland "weird"!

We had several problems with Pearl Studios but the main issue they all boil down to is a lack of proper, standardized communication. When there is a problem, management will (sometimes) post a note about it on each apartment door notifying tenants (these notes also have spelling mistakes in them which doesn't make them unreadable but does beg questions about oversight). These note provide very little warning, including once when they shut down laundry for over a week without giving us even 24 hours notice. Coffee machine. Gone.
I was told it cost $3000 a month to run. I doubt that. But whatever it was a freebie right?
Garbage. Everywhere.
The garbage room is always in shambles. It's a mix of not enough dumpster space plus the fact that everyone who lives here is a pig. The garbage room is always overflowing with trash all over the floor. A mattress was left in a stairwell for 3 weeks, management knew about it, did nothing. Disgusting.
Smoking? It's all indoors

The leasing office has horrible customer service. I was promised a balcony when I moved here and then was given a unit with no balcony at all. Packages can only be delivered to the office and they never stick to their regular hours which results in multiple redeliveries and if the weather is bad, forget it. The office will close for whatever reason they want. Very. Frustrating. I once had medication locked in the office for three days because it snowed and when I contacted the management office they never responded. The units themselves are cute and comfortable but the customer service makes it

This is my second time editing this review. I left a negative review when I had some issues with the previous manager, but after a shift in management they helped me work out the problems I was having. I still stand by that these units are too small, but for the locale it is a pretty much a bargain. The rent has been skyrocketing in Oregon, so this is a very good spot to live in. I was going to leave this at a 3 star review, but I bumped it up to 4 because the neighbors at the Freedom Center redeem any frustrations you might have with the size of the unit. So far a great place to live! Walking doesn't offset all of the eating and drinking unfortunately due to the amazing location. Breweries, restaurants, gyms, groceries, and shopping all blocks away. Blitz Pearl sports bar sponsors events in the game room which means free beer every month. Staff are very nice and helpful.
Glad I decided to rent at this place, you should do the same!

I have been here for 7 months now & I can say that it has been great! Everything is brand new - appliances, floors, everything. It is a great little location in the pearl district if you are looking for affordability. The staff are always looking to better your experience, which is great. I LOVE the no pet rent. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a small studio!

I have lived here for 2 weeks and am loving the location and low rent cost. The places are small, but the feeling of living a minimalistic lifestyle cannot be beat. I am walking distance to everything. The staff have been helpful, informative, and friendly. Free Internet is also a plus! Amenities include laundry/game room, lounge area, BBQ grill in common area, and secured bike storage.

I'm about to move in here, and really excited. I'm writing about their customer service, though. Hope was amazing--I had a nightmare screening process with my application, with my previous apartments not getting back with verification of my stay there. She put up with at least 15 calls from me checking to see if the application had gone through, probably had 8 different conversations with the screening company, and eventually got me moved in. It's rare to find people that courteous, and it turned me from nearly selecting another place to being relieved that I could live where I wanted
