Yoga can be very serious and intellectual, but what is less obvious is that it can be so much fun! This is why we created Bhakti Barn. Through practice, we open an opportunity to be completely in the moment, unhindered by thoughts or anything external. Just you, your breath, and the moment. Yoga is about Union and Connection.
We created this space to accommodate a new community. A place where people can connect to others through the practice of yoga combined with the lightness of laughter and infused with beautiful color and music. We want Bhakti Barn to be a place where your discovery can be light hearted and the development of your Yoga practice can be an individual exploration, moving at your own pace.

I feel very welcome and safe in the beautiful and serene Bhakti Barn space. The instruction is terrific and attention to detail and anatomical descriptions are extremely professional yet down to earth, warm and welcoming. If you’re more comfortable practicing in your own space, there are many virtual classes to choose from and the option to practice with a live class. This studio offers all levels practice and welcomes all yogis.

I have been taking yoga at Bhakti Barn for about 3 years, and I must say, that from the moment I started taking lessons, I have been inspired! The teachers are all professionals both personally, and in their instruction. There are eminently experienced, and generous in their approach. I would recommend anyone with a heart, enter the Bhakti Barn Yoga experience.

I’ve been to classes with 4 different instructors now at Bhakti Barn and have really enjoyed every class. I’ve been out of practice with yoga for many years and this studio is very warm and welcoming. The poses in each class could be adapted to everyone’s needs. I can feel myself growing in strength and balance as I continue to go. Highly recommend this little gem of a studio!

WOW, this probably the most gorgeous yoga studio I've ever been to - to date (when I had mentioned this to a staff member, they had mentioned that the owner Betsy had done the paintings/mural on the wall herself. So much talent!). I have not been to the older Millburn location which is at close proximity but from the looks of the outside, this 2nd Millburn location is much bigger. I've also been to the Glen Ridge location which is gorgeous as well and conveniently located next to Montclair.
I do wish the studio was a bit closer to me as I probably would be more of a regular. I found

I truly enjoy taking classes at Bhakti Barn! All the instructors I've had are fabulous and the studio itself has moved to an even more welcoming space! It's definitely worth a try if you haven't already! One can start out with Gentle yoga and then take more challenging classes and there are morning and evening classes. Learning to breathe and to connect with our bodies, while disconnecting from life's stressors is such a valuable skill to learn.

Today was my first experience at Bhakti Barn and I absolutely loved it! I took an arm balance workshop with Stephanie and she is amazing!! I felt welcome the moment I walked in the door. Stephanie went above and beyond what I was expecting as far as the workshop content. She broke down the poses so that they were not overwhelming and made me feel comfortable trying new inversions that always gave me trepidation. Stephanie is a true talent and I can't wait to work with her again.

Best yoga studio ever!
I've been doing yoga for about 10 years, all over the east and west coast of the US, and I have to say Bhakti Barn, both Millburn and Glen Ridge, are the two most welcoming locations and such thoughtful teachers I've had the pleasure of practicing with. Overall the entire vibe is peaceful and positive.
I bought a monthly pass for myself, my cousin and a friend as a gift. We've all been going a few times a week as part of our "self-care" month. So glad we decided to do that at Bhakti!

This yoga studio is really great. I went there recently while staying with my boyfriend's parents in the suburbs, and it's such a beautiful, friendly place. Classes are fun and strenuous but not too difficult, and the instructors were so nice. Plus they have a whole variety of new-student options, so you can pick the best package for you to try out the studio.
After chatting with the instructor after class, I realized why I like this place so much: it was founded by a former teacher at Laughing Lotus, my favorite NY/SF studio. So any Lotus fans will feel right at home here!

Update time! I continue to go to Bhakti Barn whenever I'm in town visiting my in-laws, and I absolutely love this studio. The instructors pushed me to learn arm balances, which my crowded Arlington studio never spent more than about 30 seconds teaching. Who knew--I got it on the second try! When I walk in the door here I feel like all the members are friends, and leave feeling both challenged and relaxed.

I've been to a to of studios around the area and nothing comes close to comparing to bhakti barn.. I highly suggest stopping by no matter what your level of yoga expertise! Great for beginners and masters alike!

I'm in town visiting the family, which means, "Stress levels up! Get thee to a yoga class, stat!"
So, I searched on yelp, and came upon Bhakti Barn. So glad I did! My experience was excellent.
I took the 10am class with Betsey, and loved it! She started us off slowly, adding in some twists to the Sun Salutations which kept things interesting, and then built the vinyasas up to a good clip. The class flowed really well. She always brought us back to the breath, and also started with a fantastic mudra, bringing a spiritual element into the class which is really important to me

Wow. I am so glad I dropped in to this new Yoga studio in Milburn, NJ. I had a truly wonderful yoga class at the Bhakti Barn. I have taken a many yoga classes over the last 20 years, and I have to say this place is top notch.
The yoga studio is beautifully decorated and peaceful. My instructor's name was Betsy. She has a very relaxed easy going approach that makes you feel safe trying new challenging positions and she's supportive of people knowing their limits and resting in child's pose. I am looking forward to my next class.
