I had taken my car to their old location in the SODO area for an electric job before. I was excited they have moved operation much closer to my house. I'm very happy with price & service for my brake job that I got done earlier this month. First got a quote from Les Schwab that seemed quite high. Called Norm Huletz and got a much better quote. I plan on going here for oil changes & to get other services done in the future.

I had all sorts of electric and computer problems go wrong with my car. I took it to two other shops and all they did was chase the problem from one component to another, each time costing me a lot of cash.
Norm at Huletz used computer scanners to determine the problem was not electric or electronic but rather mechanical to the engine valves which were misfiring and causing the onboard computer to lose control. Once the engine was fixed, the electric problems went away. The car has never run as well as it does now. It runs so smooth and quiet it is like having a new car.

Thank you Norman for taking care of myself and my car. I sold my little Civic pretty much right after it was serviced by you. Mostly because I now have to save up money to get another car. But meanwhile Norman I just want to say I felt really good about the work that you did on my little Civic. I had all the paperwork to give to the new owner of the car and he was very happy about it.

My car has been there for months. I was called to come pick it up and after having it for a week, it stalled again; the problem was not fixed. I've paid so much money, and it seems like they can't figure out what's wrong with it. Instead of just offering my money back, they keep fixing small things (like sensers) that have nothing to do with the problem, so they can keep my money ☹️

I can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had at Huletz. I have a custom vehicle and had some electrical issues (problems with shorts in the wiring, draining the battery, blowing fuses, tachometer going wild). One mechanic at another shop couldn't find the problem and told me I should just sell my truck for parts; a second shop refused to work on a non-standard vehicle. Lo and behold--Huletz! The guys agreed to work on the truck and kept at it until they found the problem. Kris and Norm hav a depth of knowledge that come from years of experience and I would trust them to perform

My family and myself have been going to huletz for years. The owner, Norm, always takes great care of us and our cars. My mother in law recently had her brakes and an alignment done. The work was finished within a few hours. I brought my Hyundai in for brake pads and he also finished promptly. Norm is very friendly and knowledgable. The price was reasonable: they quoted me 150$ less than les Schwab. I will always take my vehicles to huletz.

Called to ask a simple question about a electrical problem with my Mercury Marauder.
I had read that there is a modification that could solve the issue. The guy rudely says that they don't do modifications and rushed me off the phone. No suggestions, no insight, no help. Avoid these jerks like the plague.

First time, interior lights stayed on while driving my '94 Buick. They kept it a few days and said they could not find the problem. No charge, but no fix either. I took it to the Buick dealer in Bellevue; they had it diagnosed and repaired in 2 hours. So how is Huletz an auto electrical specialist?
Second time, battery kept draining on my '97 Cadillac. They called me that afternoon and said "We put in a new alternator. She's ready to go." Um, what? They're supposed to call me and get my authorization for any repairs. Had they called, I'd have mentioned

I just had a great experience with this place. They have moved to Sodo by the stadiums (1028 6th ave S). Norm, the owner, got me in quickly and did a great job. My Jaguar (pain in the you know what) had rear and brake lights go out and they ordered them right away and installed them so quickly that I didn't have to even leave the car there! They even checked out all of the other issues I had such as a damaged tail pipe, fuse box issues and air vent problems. Last summer the A/C on my car crapped out and I was referred to Huletz Auto Electric by my mechanic (who doesn't do A/C work). I took it in not once, not twice, but THREE times to get it fixed...only on the third visit did they run dye through the system to find the leak??? I actually ended up having them replace the compressor, only to find out THIS summer that it's not working again--ARRGH.
I really wish I had better things to say. I really do. They are really nice, obviously hardworking people with dirt under their nails. But I have a Chevy Prizm and I don't feel that it should
